The brand is not without controversy, starting with the founder, Chip Wilson. He stated in an interview about deliberate mockery of the multiple use of the letter "L" in Lululemon, to make it difficult for Japanese to pronounce. He also made critical and unappreciated remarks about women's bodies following criticism over Lululemon's unflattering and revealing sheer black women's yoga pants. And it continues with his criticism of the diversity and inclusion initiatives the company has emphasized after his departure. Nevertheless, I am a fan of the brand. Not everything fits me well but what does makes me happy. The material is comfortable, washes and line dries easily, and will last for years with only minor dark color fading. I find their athleisureware perfect for traveling. There are several newer athleisure brands out there with products as good or better in quality or price. But the large numbers of Lululemon stores makes it easy to shop. I have bought clothes suitable for the weather while traveling in Tokyo and Seattle - very convenient. Huge shout out to Lindsey, Xander, and Sydney H. (and Lauren, the approving manager) for absolutely everything that they did for me! I came into the store for the second time that week basically looking for a new wardrobe after the catastrophic flooding that happened on The North Shore of O'ahu and they were all absolute gems! Lindsey was the first to have approached me in the store, because she had noticed that it was my second time coming in that very week, and made my whole entire year by basically hooking me up with the manager, Lauren, and giving me the best gift of all! She even gave me her personal phone number basically just in case I needed extra household items along the way to recuperate things inside of my home since I had ended up losing everything, such a sweetheart! Xander was the one who helped me find a couple of different outfit sets and he was always super patient and helpful with whatever questions, comments, and concerns that I had because I hadn't been inside of a Lululemon store in quite some time! Sydney H. was an absolute sweetheart to me and her smile lit up the whole store and was very helpful when it came to trying things on and also listened to my whole sob story! This is your standard shop but with the Local Hawaiian product! These include female and male styles with the Hawaii islands or an orange hibiscus flower. It is up-charged at $10 more such as black shorts were priced from $68 to $78 which is crazy since other cities like Vegas is $68. There was only 1 short left in my size but it was covered in what looked like makeup smear. I asked the workers if they could get a new one from the back and they refused even though it's clearly disgusting and they always put new ones out every morning. I found a pair of shorts but not in my size. No idea of when more would arrive. There was a sign letting everyone know the selection was limited and not available online. You are limited to 3 local items per customer. It's a nice policy - gives everyone the opportunity to buy. The local clothing has a premium added to the regular price. My goodness how times have changed. Pre-teens and up flock to Lululemon like Pooh in search of honey. Quality items, heftier in price from one time Macy's when I was my granddaughter's age. Sweetie tells me, feel this. I thought their outlet in Vegas had steep prices but you can spot their little insignia in the general public from cross bodies to super cute shorts and tops. Their dressing room is wide open, gender neutral. The customer trying on merchandise has their name written on their dressing room door by an employee who is there to get another size if needed. Employees are on the floor to ask if you need help. Even the door watcher is helpful. Sweetie went up to him and he helped her find the jacket she wanted from a photo she showed him. He even looked up another item and said it's only available on line. She even bumped into her classmate and good friend. So fun to watch them know what they want, cost is secondary. Hmmm even I saw a cute lightweight jacket with deep pockets to carry my cell phone. I'll have to check out Lululemon myself. Yesterday's purchase for Sweetie for 4 items rang up to just under $300. I'm very ignorant when it comes to this Brand but Husband and I were strolling Ala Moana and decided to pop in. If you see a mini line outside, it's normally because Lululemon (both Ala Moana and Waikiki) have a Hawai'i exclusive collection and they can sometimes limit the people for crowd control. We honestly didn't know they had such a thing but sure enough there was a tiny rack in the back that you will see everyone rush. It's actually a bit comical. They do limit the items you can purchase, I believe it's 3 (three) per customer per transaction. We are more Under Armour/Nike wearers so the price point was a bit steep at almost $360 for our combined purchase of 4 items (a jacket, tank, and 2 shorts) but we figured we'd give it a try and see for ourselves if it was worth it. Plus, we really wanted to take advantage of finding our correct sizes with the exclusive considering the offerings being scarce. They do offer First Responder/Healthcare/Military discount but you have to set up an Lululemon Account first to get verified and then they can apply the 15% to your instore and online purchases. The Employees were great. Everyone was so pleasant early in the morning and we did have a great first visit. read more

This was my first time actually going into the store instead of buying things online. The person who greeted me let me know that they do free hemming as long as it is a straight stich. This was so good to know since I'm short! Mika also found me later and was so helpful. She helped me find a good-sized bra that didn't have spillage when I bent over. She also suggested a short that would have some stretch in it for later when my pregnant belly grows. She then looked in the back for a size that wasn't on the floor. It really was so helpful. I can't say I have gotten assistance like that from a retail store in a while. I really appreciated it. I know it is just clothes, but it makes me happy that she treated me like a person and not just a thing to get out of the way. The value is so-so. The brand is expensive but very comfortable. This store is located inside Ala moana shopping center at the mall level. I usually don't shop at the store because I think the merchandises are generally over price. However I purchased one running belt several years ago and I use it a lot for running. Unfortunately the zipper of the belt broke and they only offer one year defect warranty, so I went to get a new belt today. The staffs are friendly and helpful. While I was shopping there, at least three sales person approached me to ask if I need help. I found a very similar design running belt to replace my broken one. However it seems like you're trying to save fabric and most of the pockets become smaller in this new belt. ( you can see it in my photo) My wife is a first responder and she can get 25% discount on regular price item for one time only, therefore, if you are a first responder and want to save some money, buy all your items at once because the 25% discount only good for one time purchase. read more

My daughter has been asking me to get her more spandex for her sports activities. Since we were at Ala Moana, we decided to check out Lululemon. We were greeted upon entering. This is nice. We walked around and decided only on 1 item. We stood in line and were serviced by the cashier/associate clerk, Luna. She was friendly and cheery. This IS really nice! So I decided to take more photos to Yelp them and give them a good review. I changed my mind. We were in Lululemon between 4:30 - 6:00 pm. I was just about to take another photos on our way out and a staff/associate clerk, not sure what their title is, stopped me and asked me to show her the photos I took. She asked to see them to make sure she wasn't in any of the photos! I'm very mindful when I take photos so I do my best not to get anyone's faces as it's a violation UNLESS I got a permission to post them. I gladly showed her the photos and even told her she can check out my Yelp posts. I only showed her the photos so she can be at ease BUT I'd like to ask the managers or anyone higher to please train your staff to be just as mindful UNLESS they are asking each customers who goes in the store who takes a picture to show it to them. I know nothing about Lululemon and it was my first time in the store. I belong to a handbag community online and people were saying how much they love their Lululemon belt bags. I'm participating in the Charity Walk with a few friends in May and decided to get one of their popular belt bags. The workers were really helpful. At least three associates approached me and asked if I needed help. They showed me the belt bags that they were using and made suggestions. I know that they're known for their workout gear. My daughter, who is a yoga instructor in Japan, said she wanted to go to Lululemon, so I took her. As rumored, there were many shoppers in the store, and there was quite a long line at the cash register. My daughter said that she decided on this brand after examining the goodness of the material, comfort, and durability because there is a need for comfortable yoga wear as a professional. She recommended it to me too, so I walked around the store and saw it, but for me who doesn't do yoga, would it be better to wear swimming clothes, which is my usual routine? So on this day, I went home without buying it. She seemed satisfied with buying the one-shoulder top and bottom that she had always wanted. There's actually another reason why I didn't buy it, and it's a little bad news from the media. . . I was disappointed to know that after 2004. It's discrimination against Japanese people. " It is the origin of the three Ls in Lululemon. Did you dare to laugh when you saw that you couldn't pronounce three Ls that Japanese people are not good at!? After that, there seemed to be comments denying this, but it seems that it was difficult to erase the smoke that rose once. Came in to shop Thursday night 12/14, and not sure if because it was closer to closing time it was extremely hard to get any kind of service on the sales floor. The one person who interacted with me was overall nice, but didn't forget to throw in they close in 30 mins. Lol, thanks .. But checking out at the register, he almost forgot our discount we were sent via email. And the most frustrating thing...he forgot one of my items I paid for. I didn't realize till I got home, and we were coming from central Oahu so it wasn't like I could just pop in the following day. Finally got in touch with someone and I was told to come in at my convenience to pick up my item. The new, expanded Lululemon is open! The store is double the size of its previous store. It is now a lot more spacious, which is great for social distancing. Speaking about the COVID safety measures, Lululemon goes above and beyond than most stores. It limits the amount of customers inside, provides hand sanitizers outside and even face masks if you somehow don't have one. The dressing room available to use too! As I'm waiting for my wife trying on clothes, I noticed all the clothes that customers do not want will be carefully and thoroughly steam cleaned before going back on the floor. Big thumbs up for that! All employees wear face masks as well. Other than that, the store is very clean, spacious, and organized. The staff are friendly and professional. Overall, this Lululemon is definitely a safe and comfortable store to purchase your yoga and clothing. My wife may be getting a little Lulu crazy now! read more

I love lululemon everything!! I always and only buy my workout clothes form lululemon. It's great because if you don't have the item in store, they can help you buy online and ship to your house for free! Lululemon doesn't charge for shipping. Recently there's been multiple racks for men and women! My favorite clothing pieces are the align leggings, hotty hot shorts, nulu y bra, and align racerback tanks! It finally dawned on my husband to join me to shop for athleisure at Lululemon Athletica when I went into their temporary store during their current renovation of their larger site in the Ewa Wing. For months, he'd been talking about he was looking for long pants for either casual dress or just "bumming around". However, he wasn't looking for sweatpants or track pants. Walking into this smaller temporary location on 3rd Floor above Ala Moana Center's Center Court, I steered him to the men's section where he excitedly said "THESE are the type of pants that I've been looking for!" He liked both the jeans and flat-front styles, the stretch, breathe-ability and comfortable fabrics and most importantly they had his size. Yeah, my husband is slender and tall. As I urged him to try on the pants, a sales representative, Vivian, came by to set up a fitting room for him. She was friendly and very helpful in getting different colors and inseam lengths of the pants styles that my husband chose. Also, after mentioning that we were heading to Las Vegas soon, she suggested that we could check out Lululemon's Outlet for more. We purchased a couple pairs of pants while I got myself another pair of my favorite Fast and Free running tights. I'm gonna lie, I used to walk by Lululemon and try not to look directly at the store since I knew that they tend to be very pricey. However, per a friend's glowing recommendation on their clothes, I finally went in and really kept an open mind when browsing...and I've visited the store frequently since. The sales associates are so friendly as they always say hi when you walk in and always offer help in finding items. So far, my experience with their clothes have been phenomenal. While the sizes do run smaller than you'd expect, the material is of good quality and appear to be durable. I suggest going in to try on the clothes to get your size, then you can order online; the perk of ordering online is that Lululemon has a "We Made Too Much" section which has many of their clothes but at a discount. Some of my favorite pieces from Lululemon are my Dance Studio crop pants and the Hooded Define Jacket. The pants don't look like workout gear so I can wear them to work. The jacket has a great fit kn me and I love the Nulu fabric...its a buttery soft feel that keeps me warm. read more

I have a grave concern regarding how their employees handle customers' personal property, not to mention the terrible customer service I experienced today. I was there around 3:15 pm to pick up an online order I had placed the previous day. When I showed the store clerk the confirmation email on my phone, he took my phone and held it in his hand as he searched the drawer behind him. He couldn't find the order, so he took my phone with him to the back of the store where he was out of my line sight for over a minute. He came back with my phone and continued to search the same drawer behind him for my order. He then gave my phone back to me. He then asked me for my ID to verify that I was the person who placed the order. He took my ID from me and again, walked to the back of the store, out of my line of sight. He returned about a minute later and returned my card. I do want to mention he was cordial and polite the entire time. After around 10 minutes of searching, he and a female clerk next to him finally found my order. I then asked for a gift receipt. He scanned the barcode on a printout of their order form but it was not generating the gift receipt. After trying another register and failing, the female clerk said I could give the order form instead. I asked if the price was printed on that form, and they said it was not. I replied "okay," to which the female clerk said "Don't worry, it's not the end of the world." Why was she trying to deescalate what she herself was escalating? Those words made this one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. What's worse is the fact that an employee took both my unlocked phone and ID out of my line of sight. This is a major identity theft concern for me. Is this Lulu Lemon's normal business protocol? read more

Hands down the best store to purchase your favorite lululemon pieces! I usually just grab what I like from my sisters closet because shopping for me is a nightmare. I never know what I want. Store/merchandise: located in ala moana mall, store is spacious and clean. The mens department, women's accessories/tops/jackets were well stocked with a range of sizes and colors. However, limited stock in women's short selections but they were happy to order it online if I wanted. Staff: visible and present at dressing room, through out store, and check out. If you needed help, you can quickly find someone. Customer service alone deserves a 10/10!!! I didn't catch the floor staff name that assisted me but she went above and beyond to look up items, get an item in the back for me, and told me the difference in fabric/styles/comfort! At checkout, I paid with a gift card, visa gift card, and debit. I had heard about a health care discount at the register next to me and asked about it. Kaui was very friendly and explained to me what it was and how to sign up for it. Since California registered nurses and nurse practitioners don't receive a physical license card, I wasn't sure how they verified or what the site requires and didn't want to hold up the line so I just completed my transaction. After leaving the store, I enjoyed a drink and signed up for a lululemon account. It's actually very easy and they are able to verify your status with just name, the license type you hold, and birthdate. Since I was still around, I went back in to see if they would still be able to apply my discount. I didn't catch the employee that helped me but she was very kind and adjusted the changes! I was in and out in less then 10 minutes! During this process, I had lost my rental car keys inside the store or outside while enjoying my drink at some point. I realized this quit some time after. Luckily, one of the staff (Kaui) was on her lunch when she found my keys and kept it in the store. The staff at this store are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable that it is worth the visit alone!!!! KAUI thank you for making my shopping experience joyful and for finding my car keys! There's an almost cult-like following for the store and it's brand and such, but I didn't get any weird vibe. All I got was great service. I was the lucky recipient of a Christmas gift that was too small, so exchanging it was absolutely no problem and a breeze. Honestly one of the most underwhelming, rude, and lazy experience at a lululemon. Worker said size of jacket was sold out didn't bother to look or seem interested in helping. Worker at front register was just as snobby. Never met more unenthusiastic workers in my life. Love this brand ... hated the experience in this store.
