He's incredibly friendly and never makes you feel pressured to buy something you don't truly love. He opened up all the display cabinets so I could look through the different bags, which I really appreciated. My friends and I also checked out the shoe section and found some really cute sandals. Unfortunately, they didn't have my friend's size in stock, but John went out of his way to research and help us locate a pair elsewhere. He even offered us water while we shopped. Just by chance as we walked by Chanel in Ala Moana Center after the gym, something caught Mink's eye. We were running an errand so we took care of that first. As we walked back toward our car, we passed by again and I saw that sparkle in the corner of her eye. I knew we were walking in. Guess what? We walked in lol. Maybe it's that I'm getting older or I let myself go. I don't spend as much effort dressing up to go out anymore, especially after I started to take care of my father. His doctor highly recommended him to exercise daily so I take him to the gym. Usually I'm in gym clothes the rest of the day unless I'm seeing clients. Hobo is my look :) Our Sales Associate (SA) was professional and friendly when she helped us. I noticed one of her colleagues eyeing us out looking down on us. Seemed like she didn't want us to touch their merchandise. Mink kept asking me what I thought of the bag. A bag is a bag to me and I was hungry after the gym. I told the SA to put it on hold as it was the last one and we'll come back. *stink eye* and a good riddance look from her colleague as we walked out. She actually made a rude comment to Mink which was quite unexpected. We came back after eating and the stink eye SA was in disbelief to see us again. Our SA took lunch so one of her colleagues assisted us. We told her the bag was on hold and we wanted to see it once more. I could see Mink's glow holding this new bag so we said we'll take it. Stink eye SA was shocked! If I could, I would have had her help us and pay her in pennies. Make her count it all one by one. Lucky for her I had a client appointment after. We left with stink eye SA's jaw dropped. SA's seriously shouldn't judge a book by its cover, especially in Hawaii, as some customers do come back after putting products on hold. I was seriously hungry after the gym! Aside from this experience, we have always had excellent customer service here for all of our purchases. I came here a Wednesday afternoon and I was the only one there so it was nice and quiet. I've been looking for a particular design of earrings for years and haven't had any luck. I stopped by here and they actually had it available! Service was decent but I did notice it wasn't super attentive. I was here for a while since I was shopping for other items and wasn't even offered any refreshments which honestly, is a first for me. I was able to get a few items here that are usually out of stock. I'm not sure if it's because I got lucky or this boutique just carries the more popular items more. I walked into the store at 7pm on a Monday with three of my young children. We were greeted by Sunny but then allowed to browse around the store without being rushed. When Sunny saw that I was interested in a piece, she came over and brought it out. She also brought out refreshments and was so kind to the kids (even explaining the history of the camellia flower for Chanel). I ended up purchasing a very special piece that I will be excited to wear for years. It was such a relief to be treated well even with children in tow. My wife and I were reluctant to visit the store and see if we would be stopped from coming past the front door carpet based on our relaxed vacation casual wear. The security welcomed us in and immediately the same elderly petite Asian lady with glasses, short grey hair looked us up and down and walked past us with out greeting. I immediately turned right and that's when two SAs were standing and we had a chance to work with Wen. Wen is 5 stars all the way! She didn't rush my wife, shared several pieces they had, but none were which wife wanted. Wen brought out a new 2024 Fall bag that just arrived. We were told there was only one in all of HI. My wife loved it and it was an easy purchase thanks the Wen. We come to the island once a year and make purchases. We are not the typical wear the savings on our sleeve. We dress simple and appreciate those who don't judge based on what we wear. We don't wear suits or gowns to malls, pretty sure not many do. Since the last experience, we only made international purchases from Chanel, amazing customer services like one we received from Wen. I stand by my review I left a year ago for the Chanel boutique. Today I went to the store to purchase the black caviar wallet on a chain. Michelle and her manager Ken was able to ensure that I would be able to purchase this especially on my birthday. Ah Chanel, it's probably one of the luxury brands I've heard the most from all the ladies, but I've heard them all! There were two security guards at the door to check and sanitize you in as it's limited capacity inside. The store is very clean and organized and well-lit. My wife and I were greeted almost immediately, and helped by another sales associate. My wife knew what she wanted, but the salesperson showed her numerous styles with different patterns. I learned that Chanel is made in three different countries: Italy, France, and Spain. The sales associate was nice, friendly, and patient. She was quick and efficient checking us out and nicely wrapped up my wife's anniversary present. I did find it funny that we were asked if we want to buy a bag for 15 cents. You kinda have to, and their bags are nice! Do ladies love swinging around their many shopping bags in both their hands? Overall, a good experience throughout. Professional and friendly customer service by the whole staff. A very well kept and clean store. Everyone has masks and gloves on, and social distancing is enforced. I visited during Covid so I made sure to make a shopping appointment so I wouldn't have to wait in the queue, although this did appear to go quickly. On my visits I worked with Mai and she was pleasant and I didn't feel pressured or rushed. I had a specific bag in mind but she was also so happy to show me many similar options so I could feel confident in my choice. She even showed me a bag that was on hold for waitlist and I loved it so much she offered to add me to the waitlist on the off chance that one may become available during my visit. I was greeted by SA Rex right upon entering the store. He was an absolute gem, showed me all the closets, was super friendly and made good recommendations. I wasn't too sure if I'd be looked after, bc we had gone to the beach earlier that day, and I might have looked a little unkempt, if I'm being honest. Still, Rex still treated me with respect and care. I sincerely appreciated that. I definitely think sales is hard to work in, when you aren't guaranteed a sale, everytime. Laura is the best SA! She's been helping me for over a year now in person and from afar. Chanel doesn't have a "Hawaii price" like some other luxury bands.. yet the sales tax is LOW. 4.712% which is a big deal and savings when you are buying luxury items. The money saved can buy other things on your wish list! This Chanel store is great, if you come mid week the line isn't that long for walk in's and you don't have to make an appointment like other boutiques where I live in Southern California (OC or LA locations). They always have the latest collections. The store is split up in 2 locations. One location has the shoes. The other store location right across the mall (20 steps) is the rest of the boutique with items like all the new collections in bags, SLG's (small leather goods), fine jewelry, ready to wear clothing. The shopping experience with Laura and this location is low sales pressure and genuine great luxury shopping experience. She finds out and remembers what I like. She's also puts me on waiting lists for certain items and has texted me when I am looking for new jewelry pieces, broaches or other cool items I see from the runway shows, youtube reviews, social media. During my recent travels in Honolulu, I had to pick up another bottle of specific foundation since I was running out. The type (No 1 De Chanel) I have been using is only sold at the Chanel boutique and unfortunately not at department stores like Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, or Macys. I went into the Ala Moana boutique and was promptly, warmly greeted by multiple associates. Hisaka (name of advisor on my receipt) was exceptional and helped me pick the right shade since I wanted a different one. This shopping experience at the Chanel boutique in Ala Moana was an amazing experience and one that aligns with the level of service you would expect from this type of highend store. I have to be honest here!! When I walk in with sweat pants and a t shirt no one will greet me! They just look at me! The days I walk in looking "glamorous" looking like "I have money" they welcome me. Sterotype much?! I guess it is what it is. Ala Moana Mall Chanel store has the best selection compared to the Waikiki store. Coco was our SA and I loved her honesty and transparency. I never got the feeling of being judge or dismissed here. I came in looking for the classic wallet chain but due to seasonality, I opted for the boy bag wallet chain. Chanel doesn't offer the 10% off their bags; it's only valid on their fine jewelry. But the tax here is 4.75% is worth the purchase. I saved $151 by purchasing a bag here in Honolulu vs. back in Los Angeles. Very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend Ubering here bc the parking lot is very confusing lol read more

The body guard I think, opened the door when we were about to walk in, we were immediately greeted and asked if we were looking for something in particular, which I actually was! Jin was very apologetic and kind, and on behalf of CHANEL, took total responsibility. She did a number of things to make it up to me. For one, CHANEL managers do not usually wait on customers directly. Jin offered to wait on me personally on my next visit. Jin also accepted my request to return my purchase for a refund and buy a different CHANEL bag. That was good to reset my mood, but not so good for my husband, because I bought a bag that was more than $1000 more expensive. LOL! The boutique only had the display bag of the type I wanted to buy (Gabrielle collection). I wanted a brand new bag, not one that had been on display, so Jin located one and had it shipped from the mainland. A few days later, the store's assistant manager told me my new bag was available for pickup, and to come in and meet her. When showed up that day, the assistant manager wasn't there, but Jin was, and took care of me. I must say, one thing was a little strange. Usually, a new CHANEL bag comes stuffed with tissue paper that holds the bag's shape and also may help absorb moisture. When I examined my "new" bag, there was no paper. At first, I wondered if the bag really were new (not a display), but Jin said she had opened the box and examined the bag when it arrived, and then threw away the tissue paper. I can understand she was taking extra care to check the bag, but it seems to me it would have been more appropriate to return the tissue paper to the inside of the bag and so the customer takes delivery of a bag in completely new condition. Very quick in and out experience since I was looking for a particular card holder, which they didn't have. I don't think a card holder holds as much weight in commission as a bag so I'm not surprised service was lacking. You get an assigned SA as soon as you walk in. I don't frequent Chanel often so I'm not sure if this is the norm. She didn't speak to me, but remained professional and did show me what was available. I almost always expect to be judged walking into a Chanel boutique since my wardrobe consists of mostly athleisure, but that wasn't entirely the case here (can't say the same about the Waikiki location -far worse experience). read more

I love Chanel. I have a couple of their pieces. But when I went in on Friday, I was soooo turned off by the sales associate that was assigned to me. Her name was Sunny. I went in with the intention of buying a couple things. I was wearing my casual outfit (looks very decent with other luxury name brand items) but this Korean lady was just rude. Plain & simple. I also don't think that how they treat you is based on how you look... uhm.. I'm a nurse and I treat all my patients the same. So why shouldn't you? ‍ I asked to see some of the stuff I wanted to get but eventually decided not to get them because of just how rude the associate was, which was unfortunate. :( read more

We dropped in around opening on a Friday morning and were able to get in without waiting in line. We were paired with SA Miho who was incredible - she was not only very friendly but also very knowledgeable about all of the products. The scary looking lady with the neck tatts will stare you down from inside and not open the door for you???!? HUH?!? I recently visited Honolulu and stopped by this boutique. I purchased a set of earrings for my partner, and was very impressed by the assistance of the sales staff. When I returned home, I decided I wanted to also purchase a specific ring this store had that is NOT a typical Chanel product. Unfortunately, for some reason I am not able to call the store directly to order??? I had to go through Customer Service, and they were not able to help. They supposedly place a request for the store to call me back; however, to date, no call. I find this poor service. I don't understand the limitations on calling the boutique directly? This will likely be the last time I purchase Chanel, which is significant because I have spent a great deal of money on their products. read more

I am so disappointed with this brand. Chanel has a long history of luxury, quality, class, and sophistication. It seems that legacy has come to an end. I purchased a bag from this boutique and after a few months of very light use the monogram began to peel off. I waited a bit to repair it because I was under the impression the brand had integrity and I didn't realize it would be such a problem to get it fixed and or replaced. I couldn't have been more wrong in this assumption. When I went in to repair it I was made to feel as if it was my fault that the bag had come apart and that I should've known that the bag was not very durable due to the materials and construction of the bag. I find this absolutely ludicrous. Would you spend money on a bag that you know will only last a few months? Perhaps if I was Jeff Bezos, but for us regular people I don't think this is normal. Well after a tense discussion with them they agreed to take in the bag to be repaired. Six months later I received a voicemail stating that they will not repair the bag as it is not a quality issue in their opinion. The SA went on to state that the bag comes apart in humid conditions. If that is the case I should have been warned and perhaps they should sell these types of models in one of the worlds most constantly humid climates. I also have to disagree with them because shortly after I purchased it I took the bag (properly stored in a dust bag) to Europe for a month and that is where it began to break down. Denmark is not known for their humidity. If I had bought this piece from Neiman's or the like, a replacement would have been offered or I would have gotten my money back. Perhaps that is why they are going out of business and sadly the era of exemplary customer service must be going along with it. Now it is about fast fashion and the "buy, use, throw away" mentality has taken over. My suggestion to you dear reader is to try and purchase your bag from a department store. There you will receive a better guarantee should the bag break down and you will still be able to take it into a boutique for repairs (as long as they deign to accept it). As of this writing Saks sells Chanel. I will include pictures when I go to pick up my bag today. read more

I feel so lucky to have met such an awesome SA (Hi Saori!) because she is AMAZING! She texts me the cutest things that I just HAVE to have and even if it's something I pass on, for a shopaholic like me, getting texts of new Chanel pieces just makes me smile ! She is so sweet, helpful and thoughtful and I'm so thankful for all of my super fun In-store shopping experiences. Today I decided to spend Valentine's Day at Chanel. I've been saving up for some time now and have spent countless hours researching what I wanted to purchase, no matter what I always ended up wanting something from Chanel. I decided a brooch would be the best purchase because it's not a pricey as a purse but also something I can wear on everything from a plain t-shirt to a belt or coat. I was intimidated coming in cause I've never purchased from a luxury store before, I was instantly greeted at the door by Miho, I told her I wanted to see some brooches so she took to the back and showed me the collection. She was very patient and never once pressured me or hurried me, I was looking over each one and I happen to find one right under my budget, she was excited for me and was surprised we found one at a good price. As we were checking out my purchase she was giving me tips on how to secure my brooch and take care of it, as she was boxing it she explained to me how Chanel favorite flower was the camellia and thats why they put it on the boxes and bag, she was excited that I made my first chanel purchase and even gave me an extra small bag to make it special! I'm so happy with my experience here at my favorite designer store. Miho and I connected instantly and gave me amazing personal service, she really made it a special moment for me and I forever grateful for her. read more

I had an amazing experience with Monica as I was looking for my first Chanel piece! We initially were looking at cardholders and I was amazed at the selection! They have many of their classics along with bright seasonal colors. Monica explained that every year Chanel changes the type of beige they use in their products, so beige is more of a seasonal color option. After looking at cardholders Monica helped me look at shoes. While the espadrilles are cute and quintessential Chanel, I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains 9 months out of the year I decided that wearing these in that type of environment wouldn't be a good idea. We went back over to the cardholders and I was considering either one of the beige Boy flap card holders in caviar leather. I liked it, however there was something about that didn't quite feel like THE ONE. For those of you who shop, you know what I mean! You want it to feel like YOU. Through this whole process of me trying to eliminate which one I wanted and which one made sense for me to get, Monica was SO PATIENT. I never felt rushed at all! In fact Monica also told me to purchase something that truly felt like it was for me, and not to purchase something just because it was Chanel or because it's a popular product. I had finally decided to purchase the beige Boy flap card holder when Monica happened to do a final check behind the counter and lo and behold she pulled out a grey Boy flap card holder with caviar leather and I knew I was in love and in that moment I had that feeling of THAT'S THE ONE. Grey is my favorite color! She did an availability check for me to see if there were any others in the back, however this was the last one available along with one in New York. It felt even more special to me! She boxed it up with a beautiful classic Chanel ribbon and camellia flower, placed it in a bag, and walked it out for me to the front. Monica was just as happy for me as I was and I never felt pressured to purchase! I'm glad I found THE ONE and I am so excited and in love! Ask for Monica when you go! read more
