Their selection was always great with good quality shoes. Fast forward to me as a senior citizen with back and hip pain issues. Uyeda is still my go to place even more so with their expertise of quality shoes for comfortable walking, etc. Yes, their shoes are not cheap but that is because the shoes they sell are known, podiatrist recommended shoes, sandals, & slippers. You also get one-on-one help with very knowledgeable staff. They know their products and how to customize fit with inserts, etc. Their knowledge is based on personal and customer feedback too and not just reviews and/or written materials provided by the shoe company. I have converted family and friends to Uyeda too. They all agree that their knowledge and service cannot be beat.

Very disappointing experience with Original Grail in Waikiki. My 13-year-old son purchased a pair…read moreof older Jordan sneakers here for approximately $208 while I was not with him. He paid cash and was asked to sign a Sneaker Condition & Final Sale Waiver himself, without a parent or guardian present. The shoes were worn only twice, one shoe completely separated from the sole and the other also started coming apart. This happened while my son was at school. He had to walk very slowly for hours, was late to class, and was embarrassed when other students laughed at him because of the condition of his shoes. I contacted Original Grail and provided photos of the damage. They declined a refund, exchange, or store credit, citing the waiver and the age of the sneakers. I asked them to reconsider because the waiver was signed by my 13-year-old son without a parent or guardian present, but they maintained their decision. Original Grail later stated to me in writing that the sneakers were manufactured in 2014, while the handwritten information on the waiver they provided appears to reference 2011. I understand that older collectible sneakers can deteriorate with age. However, as a parent, I am very disappointed that an older pair with this risk was sold to a 13-year-old, that he was permitted to sign the final-sale waiver himself without a parent present, and that both shoes began failing after only two wears. I am sharing our experience so other parents and customers can understand the risks and the store's final-sale policy before making a purchase.

For a brief moment I enjoyed joining a 5K and 10K walks/runs and with that I had no idea what type of shoes is for me as many recommend what is the best somehow it jut never really worked for me though the stability and comfort is what many brands to encourage they have my feet just says differently. There are moments when packet pick ups was here at the Running Room and with that I always somehow never leave without purchasing something as they just have so many items besides shoes and socks and the perfect location on Kapahulu with free parking does make it an easy place to shop as well and on this sad to hear of its closure did take me by surprise so I just had to pay them a visit and I guess many have known about it as basically majority of their inventory has already been sold. Luckily for my larger sized feet there was my size left though the color situation was sparse understandably I did find one that looked promising and decided to get my very first pair of Hoka. I haven't treated myself to a brand new shoe in years so it felt like a cloud but being cautious since my legs hurt the next day. Not exactly sure when their last will be but glad to have given them one final visit and hope that the future will grand for this part of Kapahulu. Thank you!

I was looking for a new walking and running shoe so I immediately went to Food Locker at Ala Moana Center. They are located on the top floor across Hoka. Since my sister swears by Hoka and I recently bought my dad a pair of Hoka's, I looked at that section first. My cousin recommended a brand called ON so I also checked that section out after. Now I could compare them myself. I picked a pair from each brand and a SA named Joshua helped me. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about both brands. Joshua offered exceptional customer service. He didn't take long to bring out my size to give them a try. I personally didn't care for how the Hoka's made me feel. It felt like a rocking motion but maybe I need to acclimate to them? The ON pair was extremely light and very comfortable. It was a hard decision so I told Joshua I would think about it and come back. I ended up coming back to pick up the ON shoes another day. He was working so he was able to assist me with bringing the pair out for me to purchase. They offer you to join their FLX rewards program and to do a survey of your visit. With Joshua's excellent customer service, I made sure to do it. To my surprise, I received a $10 gift certificate to use on my next purchase after completing the survey. It came in handy as I wanted to get my father-in-law a pair before we flew out to visit my in-laws. Of course my dad wants a pair too lol. Great option to purchase sneakers, socks or sports apparel.

This gal isn't really a shoe shopper but my feet is always in desperate need for a comfortable pair and I've been relying on Foot Locker for that though at one point they had great selection for women as I've always came here versus the Women's Foot Locker which sadly has closed now find that the selection here for my personal preference is meh! The staff here is great as they greet you but I'm a browser and do need time to look so I don't mind that solidarity and to think through the prices as well though sometimes have the need to ask for their knowledge and suggestion which is something we all should do especially mine is mostly for work. Their insoles are a great item to keep in mind...get them and keep the receipt with the box because once they wear out it's use you can have them replaced for free as most time the insoles wear out before the shoe so you don't have to purchase another if it's in good condition and offers like this is wonderful new to keep my feet happy. Thank you!

His doctor highly recommended him to exercise daily so I take him to the gym. Usually I'm in gym clothes the rest of the day unless I'm seeing clients. Hobo is my look :) Our Sales Associate (SA) was professional and friendly when she helped us. I noticed one of her colleagues eyeing us out looking down on us. Seemed like she didn't want us to touch their merchandise. Mink kept asking me what I thought of the bag. A bag is a bag to me and I was hungry after the gym. I told the SA to put it on hold as it was the last one and we'll come back. *stink eye* and a good riddance look from her colleague as we walked out. She actually made a rude comment to Mink which was quite unexpected. We came back after eating and the stink eye SA was in disbelief to see us again. Our SA took lunch so one of her colleagues assisted us. We told her the bag was on hold and we wanted to see it once more. I could see Mink's glow holding this new bag so we said we'll take it. Stink eye SA was shocked! If I could, I would have had her help us and pay her in pennies. Make her count it all one by one. Lucky for her I had a client appointment after. We left with stink eye SA's jaw dropped. SA's seriously shouldn't judge a book by its cover, especially in Hawaii, as some customers do come back after putting products on hold. I was seriously hungry after the gym! Aside from this experience, we have always had excellent customer service here for all of our purchases. If it wasn't for that experience, they would have earned 5 stars.

You can't find clothing like this anywhere else. The jewelry is just as enticing with lots of long dangly earrings, some made with tiny shells, others have starfish charms, turquoise, coral and colors of the sea. Many are made by local artists. Most every trip I purchase earrings, a bracelet or necklace - sometimes all three! Rather than Chachka, I prefer to buy jewelry that I can wear all the time, that reminds me of my trip. To round out the boutique, they have candles, lotions, pillows, scarves, Sun hats, mermaid statues and ornaments (I've bought several) and other gift items. The store is small but filled with delightful items. Prices run the gam-met so you can find items in your price range. There is always a sale rack of clothing in the back so make sure to check it out. I've never felt rushed and when I need assistance, everyone is friendly and super efficient. I didn't think anything until she explained that the fresh, green, exclusive design is only available in a backpack, laptop sleeve, pencil case, and lunch bag... plus, it will only be shipped to Hawaii addresses with a minimum purchase of $200 to avoid shipping charges. Uhg... I pondered about what to get. Cece said the pencil case ($32) was on the small side. She went to the store and snapped a few photos with her hand for size comparison. Hmm... I decided on the lunch bag because it included a crossbody strap as well as a handle on the top. Cece stood in line for me and said that the salespeople were super kind and organized. She was first in line and got my bag for me. Later, I went when there was no line. The cozy shop was clean and bright and stocked well! Cashiers were smiling and helpful! Walked into this specific Aloha Collection store only to be met by the RUDEST customer service…read moresales associate. There were signs inside the store for discounted rates if you're willing to spend $150 or more, and being a fan of the brand I was ready to do so. I only wanted to confirm which bags are included (also stated on signs inside store to ask sales associate) and this girl gave so much bad attitude when getting asked about this store promo. To the store manager of this specific location (next to Moana Surfrider) , please don't hire sales associates who don't enjoy helping your customers because I was so turned off by this that I walked out the store without purchasing due to the service I received. Today is April 26, 2026, time around 4pm and she was wearing blue/green, long hair, islander girl. This definitely did not sit well with me that I had to immediately write this review.
