Highly recommend Phil at Leather Pro Hawaii. I had several cuts and punctures in the synthetic leather in my BMW and was mainly concerned about keeping the damage from getting worse. Phil was honest from the beginning and set realistic expectations about what could be repaired, without overpromising. He was incredibly patient, took his time, and the finished repair came out much better than I expected. I can't even tell where the repair was anymore. What really stood out was the attention he gave the job. He made me feel like I was his only customer that day, even though I knew he had other appointments. He never seemed rushed and was very professional throughout the entire process. His price was fair, the quality of his work was excellent, and I really appreciated his honesty and attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend Phil and Leather Pro Hawaii. In fact, I was so happy with the work that I'm already having him do another repair on a couch for me. read more

I can't say enough. Quality restoration complete at reasonable price! Highly recommend!!

Our leather sofa recliner was faulty and wasn't reclining smoothy. It also had a crack in the leather seating area. I called Leather Pro Hawaii based on all the great reviews I saw, on Yelp, and I quickly got a reply back from Phil. I made an appointment for Phil to come to our home and do the repair. I am so glad we called Leather Pro Hawaii!! Phil was very professional, worked quickly, and we were very happy with the work he did. We only like leather furniture and Phil has made us a customer for life. We highly recommend Leather Pro Hawaii and Phil for all your leather cleaning and repair needs. Thank you so much! read more

Phil came to our rescue again this month. A few years ago the arms of our beloved Natuzzi armchair started to crack so he took it away to re-leather and it turned out to be the best decision. This time one arm of our matching Natuzzi sofa was filled with sweat and dirt over the years and we thought of Phil immediately. He came quickly, assessed the damage and presented a solution that saved us the trouble of sending this big sofa his way. Phil was skillful; not only he conscientiously cleaned the dirty surface and sealed the imminent cracks with his magic hand he cleaned the whole set and prolonged the life of our living-room furniture. We highly recommend Phil. read more

Phil as an individual is A-W-E-S-O-M-E (very honest and personable) and his work is just the same. My husband and I were looking for new furniture (sofa and chairs), and we went to different furniture places and nothing really struck us like the couch and the chairs we've had for years. What made us look into furniture repair was a lady at a furniture store who suggested that we think about going this route because we didn't find anything that absolutely loved. Upon doing a simple search in Yelp, we came across Leather Pro Hawaii and after going through the reviews, we decided to get a quote from Phil and wow, the price was very reasonable. $5k+ for a new set or get our furniture redone for a fraction of the cost? Well, I guess you know what we decided upon. Most of our communication was done over Yelp messaging and text, with him responding very quickly. We set up a meeting to get it looked at and he came within the week and got us a quote that same night. After accepting one of the quotes he came to pick up a chair that needed new cushioning within a week or so. When he completed that (took about a week and a half), he came to the house and got to work with our couch and other chair. After the 72 hour wait to dry, the couch and chairs look so amazing. We were so glad that opted to get the redone because it looks so great!! If you want great work and want to save money on new furniture, Phil is the way! read more

My 4 year old grandson decided to create his art masterpiece on my very expensive European leather couch! Not just a small drawing but full blown drawing on back of my couch. We used every cleaning products to try get ink (ball point) off but nothing worked, including home remedies touted on internet. I went to furniture store to buy leather cleaner (which BTW didn't work, but only cost $30). One of the sales guy gave me business card for Phil & Leather Pro Hawaii. I reached out & within a week, got an appointment with Phil. He came over with his tools & spent 2.5 hours on the couch. All the ink mark came off! WOW - so impressive!!! Phil was very pleasant & responsive to work with. Highly recommend him for your leather repair, don't despair... I would give him 10 stars if that was available. Thank you Phil!!! read more

I bought a poorly made upholstered armchair from Anthropologie which cost me as I have to ship it to Hawaii. After sitting in the chair for about a week, padded, sitting just collapsed. Sitting in the hole of the seat made it very uncomfortable. After inspecting it, I came to realize that the elastic holding the padding might have been reused materials. After four years of debating to whether repair or dump it, I decided to ask friends who they used to repair their couches. I was given two names. After two months awaiting for quotes or replies, I sent more requests then one reply had excuses that it will cost more than the chair itself! Then decided to try one more time! Came across some companies on Yelp! I gave it a try and minutes later someone named Phil was kind enough to ask for photos and what I wanted done! He suggested a couple of repairs. I agreed to his suggestion, his quote and with a generous discount! I told him that I could bring the chair to him since his atelier is in Kailua but I needed to have a friend help me load it in the car. He said I will come to you! Phil finally delivered my arm chair today! What an amazing job, better than when I bought it! I am on top of the world with my new upholstered arm chair! Phil is such amazing gentleman with that Australian accent and a positive energy! He is very professional , very meticulous in his job and it shows! I highly recommend Phil to anyone who love that one piece of furniture that they are not quite ready to part with! Merci Phil! read more

Over 20 years ago, we decided to purchase some quality (aka expensive) Stressless couches.  The leather did last a long time, but not knowing how to care for the surfaces wore down the leather to full tears.  However, the solid wood frame was still pristine and the untouched leather on the backsides looked new.  We would have to hire movers to get these monsters to a repair shop.  So, when I read about the quality work and service where we didn't have to take in the couches ourselves, we reached out to Leather Pro Hawaii.  Owner Phil was the expert in taking apart the pieces and replacing the leather.  He matched the leather texture, color and design (not just simple, straight lines (see photos)) and taught us how to care for the leather, which will help us get even more years out of our furniture.  He also has a great leather care kit.  Thank you, Phil! read more

Phil re-stuffed the cushions on my 19 year-old leather sofa which was way overused and sinking down. It was very bad for our backs and posture. He did an amazing job and it felt like a new sofa with very firm cushions that really helps for our back and makes standing up from the sofa so effortless compared to before. The cost was very affordable compared to purchasing a brand new piece of furniture which would have cost thousands of dollars for the same piece. I highly recommend him if you need to restore your sofa cushions. 5 stars!!! read more

I just want to say, Phil is the most awesome person, personally, His quality of work is past 5 stars. We had our love seat, Sofa and recliner for 9 years, we had it cleaned and protected with Leather Pro Hawaii. It looks Brand new, My biggest concern was my Recliner, leather worn, frayed, and front back rest stitches came apart 6" from my 5 grandkids climbing over the back side thinking it's a jungle gym to play on. Phil hand cleaned all 3 pieces of my furniture and also fixed my love seat, left side recliner didn't work. he removed the back rest of my recliner, took it to his shop and hand re sewn the stitches in front of my back rest. He painted and retextured my recliner all in one day. 2 days later he remounted my back rest after hand re sewn stitches. I told him I missed my Man chair so much. I am so happy to find him on Yelp. Thank You Phil, awesome Job!! read more
