I wish I had taken a "before" photo of the car seat in my Tahoe, but I didn't. Trust me when I tell you that the leather was worn, cracked, with a torn seam that was erupting foam. All from years and years of my okole sliding in and out. I considered just getting some wet okole seat covers but decided to just have this seat repaired. SO, naturally I went to Yelp to find the best upholsterers. That led me to Aloha Upholstery, and I'm glad it did. It's a mom-and-pop business, owned by a wonderful older Korean couple, Mr. and Mrs. Lee. They've been in business for fifty years. They know what they're doing. Customizing the seat pan was difficult because Mustang uses a thick metal pan to maintain the shape. Aloha Upholstery used the original cushion, said it was superior quality. He also used the original Mustang leather seat cover. He also said this was superior over vinyl. Five hours labor, it was a custom pan cut. Perfect fit per my measurements. Two days later I dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up 4 hours later with a brand new section of my leather seat. They are awesome people and have been in the business for 40 years. Took my car seats that I really wanted custom out. I had the material especially purchased from a European factory. The first two upholstery shop did not want to take the job because of the costly fabric being used to complete seats. But the Lee's took the task on and educated me that the material I was about to use on seats were backwards. What I wanted is actually the reverse inside of the display. Also mentioned that this is a better look since they have done many car show vehicles in the past 42 years. They are very knowledgeable in what they are doing and showed me many of the other task they done in the past. They are a mom and pop business and great people. They did the headliner on my Chevy Silverado. The ceiling was falling and the foam backing was crumbling. They only took a day to remove and replace the headliner. They did a great job and the price was good. It did take a few weeks for the glue to cure and it takes longer for the glue smell to leave but, I should have rolled down my windows when the truck was parked. read more

I've been meaning to get the roof of my car done it's called a "headliner" so they told me at the shop. lol It's been bugging me because my car is old and the material on the inside started to droop. I was gona attempt on redoing it myself because there's some videos on youtube. As I researched more, a lot of people said that it takes hours to do if you aren't sure on how to properly take out everything. Also you can possibly do more damage then good by doing it yourself. So I decided to find a place on O'ahu that is affordable and what do you know Mahalo Yelp for helping me out. lol Even thought there was no pictures up I decided to just try this place out. It's owned by an old Korean man and woman. They don't answer the phone very professionally but who cares they're good people and as long as you ask them if this is Aloha Upholstery they'll tell you it is. I asked for an estimate on the phone and they told me $150 for my Geo Prizm. Which is good because other places I called they quoted me about $160+. They told me I had to come in though so they can match my material that I already have. I went in just randomly I didn't make an appointment I just called and asked them if they had an opening and they we're like can you come within the next forty five minutes so I did. They took about two hours to do and I'm very pleased with the results of how my car turned out. They're very nice people and their customer service to me was superb. They're located on Nimitz right across of Goodwill or if you know where Kmart is around there. They're on the corner next to that Cosmo Airbrush place, you can't miss it. GPS kind of takes you all over, so all you really need to do is take nimitz and make like you're going to Dole Cannery, go straight, and it's going to be on your left hand side on the corner. I'm not sure if they accept credit cards or debit cards because I brought cash, but I assume they don't because they're shop is super old school. After waiting way too long to get our boat seats re-upholstered, we finally settled on this shop, and in the end, the value and results were great! The husband and wife team were friendly and helpful, and we got our really badly damaged boat seats back in pristine, like-new condition in three weeks (that includes the time they needed to get the fabric). I need a qoute. Instead the company takes an image and can provide me a qoute he tells me cannot and hangs up on me. I don't want to drive a pc of furniture all the way to town that can barely fit in my van to be told its x amount and I can't afford it. I spilled battery acid on the leather seat in my car and tried to clean it up per google's advice which made for a disaster so a friend recommended Aloha Upholstery and they were fantastic! I thought for sure there was no way the seat would ever be the same but they made it happen! They even drilled the seat out of the car so I wouldn't have to leave it there while they repaired it. Exceeded my expectations. I did not know what to expect because there wasn't that many "Before & After" photos. But of those I seen, I was impressed. I called them up and they answered their phone to answer questions. I went over there and showed them my chairs. They were really nice and funny. My wife liked them a lot. They told me that it would be done in 2 days. I dropped it off on Tuesday morning and expected it to be done by Thursday. I received a call on Wednesday evening and picked it up then and there. I only expected them to replace the fabric, but they fixed or replaced the foam as well. I am very happy, not only on the quality of service but how fast they were. I've read reviews of other places. There are a lot of other places that have great reviews but are very busy. We were able to get a quote right away and our chairs back right away. Tip: When going there make sure you have the right address. I google searched "Aloha Upholstery" on my phone and the first link took me to a different (old?) address.
