Contacted Tom on January 11 and we scheduled the job to be on Monday the 13th at 12. It was slightly after 12 so I sent him a text if they are coming. He replied they are running late and instead of 1-2 it will be between 2-3. Shortly after 3 I'm texting again because no one came. I told him I'm concerned because originally he told me it would take about 4 hours to do the job. He replied that his partner John is on his way and the job would take 2-3 hours. John finally showed up at 4:30 and worked continuously until 7:30. I paid by credit card and asked Tom about the warranty on Tuesday and he told me that John was supposed to give me a receipt with the warranty. He told me that he would send me a receipt with the warranty. On Wednesday I asked him how long before I can get the receipt. No reply. On Thursday I sent him another text telling him I do not like being ignored and just because John finished the job and tom got my money does not mean the transaction is complete until I get the receipt with the warranty. I reminded him that I already had a bad experience with them showing up very late and did not want to have another trying to get the receipt. He replied that he was sick because of a covid shot on Tuesday and he put it in the mail on the same day he replied and I should get it in a couple days. I waited until the following Thursday the 23rd and at 2;05 pm asked him where is my receipt that you mailed a week ago....another disappointment. Since he never replied, I sent him a screen shot at 6;50 pm of him saying he would mail it to me and I should get it in a couple of days. I then told him that I was going to post my displeasure dealing with him and his company. at 6;51 I get an immediate reply saying he has my receipt and needs to know the year of the car and license plate #. I responded "Why only now?". He then made an excuse of taking care of his elderly mom and began putting the blame on John. I really do not understand how he got so many good ratings when my experience was totally the opposite of what people were saying. This could happen to you. Tom is very unreliable and is a failure at communicating to the customer both on being on schedule and submitting the necessary receipts. I was the one who had to initiate communication on when they are coming and where is my receipt. read more

Most communication via Yelp. Crew arrived 20" outside of promised window. Color match a little off, but it was the only gray they had in the van. Headliner almost like when new. It is not as smooth as when new because the techs are manipulating the backing during the repair which makes sense to me. Only issues are that panels did get dirty from handling, I found a screw on my floor mat that may have not been replaced, and a couple of side panels look off centered when replaced. The flat fee of $550 was almost half of my other estimate, and everything works as it should. Therefore, I'm pretty happy with the result. read more

I had to take my headliner out to fix the sunroof so gave Tommy a call about replacing the crappy shrunken fabric. They showed up the SAME day and recovered the headliner in black (i didn't want the grey anymore because it gets so dirty). The guys did a great job and Tommy was very friendly. They came out twice because the first time the color didn't match the interior so John returned when the proper color came in. My Porsche Panamera headliner was loose and went by Porsche for an estimate and also to all my favorite upholstery places on Oahu - all the upholstery shops were afraid to upgrade a Porsche and the dealer wanted to charge triple of the standard ceiling liner update. I found Tom here on yelp, got a quick response and he replaced my nylon liner with Alcantara. He did it in a day and the install is flawless. That's okay, he showed up, and they both worked hard out in the hot sun for about 3 hours. They did a great job and matched the color of the old headliner perfectly. He has LOTS of colors in the back of his van if you want a different color. I was very grateful as most places won't do SUV's. The entire experience with this service provider was a disaster. ~2 hrs. late for initial appt. w/no call to explain ~could not do installation within area provided: never informed beforehand concerning requirements to do the actual work so had to work off-site ~damaged a vehicle light during installation; offered to fix it, came an hour late & could not repair the light ~ never showed-up for subsequent appt. to actually repair the damaged light phone constantly goes unanswered & voicemail full, so no way to contact ~having to go to a "shop" defeats the entire purpose of a mobile service ~if I don't go to their shop, I will need to have the damage repaired at another provider & at MY expense ~never given receipt for cash payment for initial service ( actually done well) said using "a card" was a hassle, so I have NO guarantee for any work done This review won't be accepted, so I am forced to give a single star when I would use a negative if available. read more
