Long story short another shop installed my lower ball joint, struts, and upper control arm and lower ball joint ended up collapsing on the next day. Thank God it was just on the parking area. Man. Chance from the beginning to the end was the most polite, patient, informative and respectful person I've met when it comes to dealing with aftermarket wheels. The work that he did on stretching my tires was fast and great quality. His prices are really fair also. Picked up an '08 Mustang "Bullitt" version which I've always wanted after watching Steve McQueen as a kid jump through the streets of San Francisco in the original '68 GT 390 Fastback variant. in the movie by the same name. I was lucky to find a S-197/5th Gen "Bullitt" this far west (thank you JMac \m/) but wanted to turn it into a daily driver, so mods had to be taken off and put back to OEM. In this case, the suspension. While I love the look of the "lowered lifestyle", the handling of the car and all of that, the truth is on Honolulu roads your constantly having to dodge potholes that are more that happy to crack/bend a rim, knock suspension out of alignment or a whole bunch of of other potential problems not to mention taking speed bumps etc. at 45 degree angles in hopes that you don't "bottom out" and give yourself a heart attack. Enter Francis and the boys at Chance Customs. I explained what I wanted to do (get the car back to OEM ride height) and they took care of me with top notch service, both in the office and out in the service bay. the car rides sooooo much better back at the proper height not to mention I'm no longer scared shitless when I'm staring down upcoming speed bumps. It'll take another couple of weeks for the installed springs, struts and shocks to settle in and maybe drop 1/4 " which is perfect. Yes yes I know, I could have gone the "coilover" route, but I knew that I was never going to lower the car again, so why bother? Oh and then the potholes....nope! The bottom line is the car is fun to drive again, still plenty responsive and still plenty bite in the corners with the stock bullitt strut tower brace installed. I've got some other projects I want to do like new rubber and suspension refresh both front and back - I'll be heading back to Francis to get it done right and with Aloha! You should too. read more

Took my truck to get aligned after installing aftermarket adjustable front struts and upper control arms. Upon inspection the auto tech found some issues on my lift kit which Francis had installed 6yrs ago (wasn't because of the job he did. It was the lift kit itself). From day one of requesting a quote (quick responses) to changing my appointment twice to the day i got my rims installed, he showed so much patience, aloha, and professionalism. Francis was able to provide a service that 90% of tire/rim companies could not do, which was to install my new rims on my current tires that I had on my vehicle which included mounting and balancing. A lot of other places wanted me to buy new tires with the installation (I expected that's how most places operated) or just did not offer the service at all due to "risk." If they did offer this service they charged what I thought was a little ridiculous. The location is a small little shop at a busy intersection so make sure to drive slow when you get around the area.
