They can't tune, they take way to long to fix your car and just way to expensive for half ass jobs

In 2020 took my BMW 335D, to Streamline performance to Kai and paid $550 for them to install my VRSF Downpipe to my vehicle. They said it needed some welding and charged me extra for that. Unfortunately, only found out now after getting the car up that nothing was installed and just the exhaust was just disconnected to make it sound like a straight pipe. Extremely disappointed in the way I have been dealt with my Streamline and feel I have warn other potential customers about their deceptive, shady and shocking practices!!! Where is my VRSF downpipe?? You charged me for disconnecting my exhaust from my M57 engine and took my downpipe. Disgusted. STAY AWAY!!! You have been warned read more

It's Friday afternoon, 430p, two days before Christmas. Your work week is coming to a finish and you are about to get home to relax before all of the holiday festivities over the weekend. You pull up at home, get out, lock the doors and walk away when you notice, "hey...thats a big rock stuck in the tread of my fairly new tire." You walk back to your car and see that this rock is actually a screw and it's smack dab out of the safe range to plug the tire. It's Friday. Find me a tire place open over the weekends that take walk ins...close to Nuuanu. It's Friday. You have plans all over the weekend for Christmas. M*therf**?er! Luckily, you have a tire in your backyard for cases like this (don't ask, I'm weird, lol). So now it's finding a place....on friday...that'll still be open when you get there. You google and call a handful of close places. NOBODY answers phones anymore. You decide that it says they close at 6 and they are less than 2 miles away. Chance it. Low and behold, Streamline Performance is OPEN! AND they have no line of people, which from what I'm told, is rare. The guy (who doesn't take a day off) was an absolute dream to work with. Speaks clearly and politely and he is courteous. I was on and out quickly for under $40. This included mounting and balancing the new tire, removal and disposal of the old one. Please keep in mind: They get very busy so it's best to call ahead. They sell tires. If you bring your own tires, pricing is based on size. My 18s were $29.95 plus tax and disposal. Especially if you have a JDM car, I would highly recommend Streamline for any job, big or small. Although it can be busy at times, also is always willing to work overtime to see that the job is done well and to his standards. I left my car there in 2015 to do a motor build. During the process my car got broken into, they stole some parts off my car. Then insurance claimed total loss because of this shady business. Went through the process of fixing the car, 5 years later they finish . I repeat 5 years to build my car in that shop. And owner Kai did not compensate me or anything. I know he's been taking stuff off my car to service other cars. And still the car that I got back is still a peace of crap. All electrical does not work, paint is messed up because of leaving my car out In the sun. Other shops would've done a motor build job within weeks NOT eeeeeFfffffin 5 years. Still pissed at him. Went to get some tires mounted onto my new wheels today and stopped by this business, as I had them do a previous set of wheels and I was very happy with the work. Kai was very attentive when I arrived and made sure my wheels were placed on cardboard and placed of the way so that it would not get scratched or damaged as they went about thier business. Very fair prices and they called me very promptly to tell me my wheels were all done, plus it was done quicker than I expected. Lots of shops come and go, but Kai has been around for a while now. If you're looking for tires, Streamline has the deals! Call them up and get a quote. I guarantee you it will be cheaper than Lex Brodie's or some other tire shop. They let you choose if you want cheaper tires or higher grade which I think is great. Make an appointment with them and you will not be disappointed. My car was broken into and the owner never called and told me found out when I went to check after not being able to contact them on the phone, was quoted on price and charged another because the break in was my fault, and the owner just gave excuse after excuse about how he is having a hard time, well the really person was me having a hard time for even trusting this guy with my vehicle period. After the dealership topped off the coolant instead of finding the issue (leak in radiator), I wanted to take my car to a trustworthy auto shop that wouldn't rip me off. I was able to find Mishimoto heat exchanger, as well as an OEM radiator from Z1 for less than the dealership was asking for the radiator alone, all I needed was someone to install it. As I don't have the equipment or space to work on my car myself, Streamline Performance, being an authorized dealer for Mishimoto, was the best place to have work on my Q60. They've been able to do anything I would have normally taken to the dealership for, from serpentine belt installs to oil changes. Although the VR30 platform has a very difficult bleeding procedure requiring an Air lift tool, Streamline used all the proper equipment to get the job done, and now I can finally use my new car parts. They're very helpful, friendly, and have great communication, giving me updates on my car as well as letting me know what might need replacing next, and I'll continue to take my Infiniti here over the dealership. read more

This is the only place I would ever take my car for maintenance or repairs. They're prices for NEW tires of all brands surpass any tire company I've called in my area. They're fast and honest and I love that! It's hard to find shops who don't advantage of customers who don't much. I'm already planning future repairs to up keep my car for my teenage daughter who will be obtaining her provisional's soon. Mike and all the guys at this shop are so personable and so informative. Kai is a great mechanic, very knowledgeable, and very fair in his prices for the work he does. I had an airbag light on and he was very helpful in trying to diagnose the problem. He informed me of how the diagnosis for the problem, which they'll diagnose the car for two hours with notice after those two hours to ask if they should continue working on the diagnosis. This morning we called to get a quote on tires, he spoke to someone named Jason, the size was 196/45/16 and 165/40/16 was trying to see what was below 205/40/16 and he starts questioning asking why he wanted those sizes, honestly what is it any of his business on what size he wants? If a customer asks a question as simple as to what size they want you shouldn't go against them or recommend/demand something else. I would give this negative stars if I could. 90% of the parts Kai said they replaced haven't even been touched or were replaced with faulty used parts and took over 3 months to get my car back as it was excuse after excuse. Had two other mechanics look at his so called work and said we were robbed and the car was not fixed. Needless to say I'm still having problems with the car after giving over $7k it should not be having the problems it does. Reporting to the BBB and getting this taken to court. My Husband took time off to get new tires for my working car. He wanted to try out this business because they had my tire size. None of the other reputable shops were carrying my stock tire size. He chose the Nexen brand tire because we have them on our luxury cars and my husband finds them comparable to other popular name brand tires. The tires are fine. The front desk is fairly professional and very personable. Now for the service: 1. New tires installed, but the valve stem covers were old and not matching. One was gray and one other was cracked. Probably because the installer tightened the cover too hard. 2. The advertisement stated "Buy Any 4 Tires, Get FREE Installation, Mounting & Balancing." My husband was charged for this service. 3. The advertisement stated "Expert Mounting, Balancing, and Installation." However, all four tires psi weren't the same. False Advertisement? I'll let you be the judge. Would we recommend them? We would not recommend them. We support our local businesses; however, when workers become complacent, it affects the business. My overall grade for this business is substandard. Not having enough free time due to work in the midst of COVID-19 has left me no choice but to look for a shop to add a couple things to my G70. With all the necessary parts in hand, I was wondering where I'd even find a place to install them. Then I remembered Kai and his work quality from people I know on island. Made an appointment around January time frame but couldn't get an open schedule till this month because they're always backed up due to their high demands from those who actually want quality work from an auto shop. At first, I was slightly worried as my car isn't well spread out enough that there's only a handful of people who knows their way around it. From what originally was supposed to take (which was 8 hours by estimate), it took almost a day and a half to complete the work due to some unexpected things but they managed to install everything I wanted from them, and more- as they inspected and replaced what needed replacing and reinforcing for a very minimal cost. At the end of the day, they saved me the time and hassle to get the work done safely and in a timely manner. Thank you Kai and his team for all your work. Overall I wasn't impressed with the shop. The shop is small and seems like nothing works. From the start we went upstairs to the office/ waiting room & the AC was broken and we were told by the staff that it's been this way for a while and the owner doesn't want to replace it. The carpet up their was old and patchy. On the plus side the staff was nice. I was told it was going to be an hour to an hour and a half to do my exhaust and it took 3 hours to do that. Also the thing was they just jacked the car up in the driveway to do it. Where is the lift?? This place from first view looked to be more if a junkyard. Nothing about this place screamed performance shop. I know we are not on the mainland but come on. Sure this place is great to get a tire changed at but I wouldn't let them get into my car too much at all beyond the basics. I have seen better at a jiffy lube. read more
