Had a bad experience here a couple years ago. Brought a vehicle in with a tire that was losing air. They put air in it and they charged me 50 bucks for air. I vowed to never return. Today I woke up to a flat tire. The day before I noticed a chunk out of my passenger front fire. I took it to Mike's Tire anf two technicians looked at it and said it was completely fine. I believed them and thanked them for their time. Clearly, it was not okay. I drive this vehicle for Uber so passenger safety is very important to me. I called Mike's to let thrm know ow what happened and the guy could care less, tried to sell me a tire, and gave no apologies. Called Pono, they looked at inventory found a used tire and got me in immediately. They were very friendly and the swap only took 15 minutes. I have new found respect for Pono Tires. Excellent work. read more

Had a leaky tire and called around to some of the chain tire stores - no one had an immediate appointment. Called these folks and they asked look for what type tire I had by looking at the panel on the front driver door. They told me over the phone how much it would cost to repair the leak or if they needed to replace the tire right up front. Very transparent and honest and also that I could come right in. Best decision ever. They quickly checked and repaired the tire for the price (very reasonable I thought). In and out in less than half an hour. Highly recommend this place. read more

I initially came to this shop to do a tire rotation on my truck. I arrived around 9:15am and they were able to take me in immediately. When I got there the worker informed me there was a nail in my front tire and walked me over to show me. So I opted to get all my tires changed. To change all 4 of my trucks A/T tires it was 1,200 and I was in and out in less than an hour, which was awesome because I had my 3 young children with me. Overall I had an awesome experience, the workers communication was excellent and their ability to provide the necessary work in a timely manner is a plus. Will definitely be back. read more

Pono tires on republican street is a highly recommended business I definitely would return to if I need any tire issues. To start I needed two front tires for my Honda Odyssey van. I first tried to go to discounted tire outlets Sam's club and Costco with no luck, just the options of ordering it and waiting 2-3 weeks or pay extra for shipping and get it within 4-5 days. Tried Pono, the girl looked at the size on my vehicle and said we have it. Though it was previously used, it was a go ahead for me when you need it right away! The tires are great, with a lot of more miles that will be put on them! I was given a speed balance and installation for just over $80. per tire. Plus a (1) year warranty. I am very pleased at Pono, and if I ever get into a situation like this again, I will check Pono (Hawaiian) tire company. Great Job people at Pono, in and out 15 minutes like you promised!5 Stars ! read more

Was so lucky to find this business. I had a tire that needed to be replaced ASAP on a Saturday morning, and every place I called either didn't have the tire I needed in stock until Monday or couldn't do it until later in the day.
