I was looking for a place in town, and saw Discount Wheel and Tire does free flat repairs. I first called their phone number, which seemed like goes to a central office for Discount Wheel and Tire, and every person I spoke to was extremely kind. I called the first time to inquire, and then called the second time to just say how awesome the experience was. If you plan to do walk-ins, the shop does say it closes at 5:00pm, please know that their walk-ins are from 8:00am until 4:00pm! When I got to the Kakoi location, I went in saying "I think I have a slow leak", and they got me in right away! There is a customer waiting area with AC, and I was in and out within 20 minutes. The service was free of charge! The guys at the front were very hospitable and the overall customer service was outstanding, and I would gladly come back again for any of my tire needs. I received a message saying my appointment needs to be moved to Saturday July 25,2026. I arrive for my appointment and I am told that they do not have the tires I requested, but can they install customer bought parts per policy. I understood why they wouldn't install the shocks, but not having the tires, is completely unacceptable. There was absolutely no communication leading up to my appointment that they wouldn't not install my shocks. There was absolutely no communication that they wouldn't have my tires I wanted. Instead of just giving a set of tires that they had in stock for the price of the original tires, the clerk looked at only what "deals" they had available, and didn't even have those tires in stock. I would have to come back on Monday (a day I am unable to make due to my schedule). And I needed tires immediately due to the amount of tread I had on them. As I stood there just in disbelief at the situation before me, the clerk said that was all he could do. I shared that had there been communication prior I would have just went somewhere else, he responded "that's Firestone for you". He did not really try to make the situation right. He was completely ok with having a potential customer leave. He just ended with "sorry that's all that I can do, good luck".

Today I woke up to a flat tire. The day before I noticed a chunk out of my passenger front fire. I took it to Mike's Tire anf two technicians looked at it and said it was completely fine. I believed them and thanked them for their time. Clearly, it was not okay. I drive this vehicle for Uber so passenger safety is very important to me. I called Mike's to let thrm know ow what happened and the guy could care less, tried to sell me a tire, and gave no apologies. Called Pono,they looked at inventory found a used tire and got me in immediately. They were very friendly and the swap only took 15 minutes. I have new found respect for Pono Tires. Excellent work.
