I was initially suspicious about the perfect 5 star rating on yelp for Oahu Autoshop. There is no way they can be this good, right? Boy was I wrong. Jessica and Darius are awesome. Impeccable communication. Answering texts at all hours of the day and night. Clean shop. Affordable pricing. No hard sell, just the honest facts. Timely service. I messaged on Sunday, got me in on Tuesday even though Monday was a holiday. Service was fast; all done in a day. I had a bad alternator that was working on/off. I initially cancelled the appointment when the alternator was working again. "No problem"; they didn't give me a hard time or anything. They handled several repairs on my Subaru, including an AC evaporator replacement, rear brake pads and rotors, and an oil change. Had both of the front CV Axles and front brakes replaced on my wife's 2017 RAV4 and the value from this shop versus anywhere else is miles ahead of other places. I was able to drop the car off the night before since that worked best for my schedule and it was done for me to get the next day. Darius also rotated my tires for me on top of my requested repairs for no extra cost! I got dealer service at fractions of the cost. I went down expecting to get my front brake pads replaced and brake fluid flushed and cabin filter replaced. The mechanic who worked on my car showed me my car brake pads and a new set, and it was very similar. I expect that the dealership is trying to gouge $$ off of middle class ppl like us so that we end up spending more on the car when it might be time to buy a new one. I came to get a $300 job done when the dealer quoted me $690 for all, but walked away paying for only $36 for the filter replacement. The nice mechanic said that my tires needed replacing soon and I told him I'd go to Costco. He seemed to have no issue with that and said tires are cheap there. Was also trying to figure out when was the last time I got all 4 of my tires replaced on my car... probably over 6 years ago. I'll be back when my brake pads really do need replacing!! This review is for the ladies!! I live on the westside of O'ahu and had a blow out in the middle of the night. I already knew my spare wasn't going to last me long because I had previously drove on it and didn't replace it yet so I was concerned. So, I ended up staying in town looking for the most affordable and quickest option. I'm not too savvy about tires so I'm trusting the professionals on this one. I didn't know where to go in town because I knew if I tried to drive the spare back to the Westside it would take too long going the backroads/service streets. To all the girlies out there driving on your spare, you aren't suppose to go over 50mph on a spare and there's only so many miles you can drive on it before that too blows out! Listen, this place was one of 12 that Yelp had sent my call for help to, and in no time Jessica reached out and gave me a quote that I couldn't pass up! Affordable and fair pricing! Met the wife, the husband, one of their colleagues, and their youngest son. Very quick and efficient process and the accommodations are wonderful. Place to sit, they have a TV there with Roku and refreshments in the fridge for their patrons to enjoy while work is being completed. I came in for 1 tire, but with their advice I ended up replacing 2. I trust that they understand that safety is important and didn't feel like it was a sales tactic like the traditional auto shops.
