As a mom of toddlers, I appreciate a full service gas station! They pump gas, wash windows, fill tires, check/refill fluids, all the alls. So I make sure to tip the uncles for doing the job I don't want to do. Some reviews complain about customer service yet let's remember, it's a gas station. This is not Nordstroms or a racetrack pit stop. Be patient and be kind. They have a full service line and may charge you to check your oil and tires just in case you don't need gas (which was the recent case for me) They checked the tires (told me I need to check the driver rear tire because the pressure was so low.... Been coming here to do routine maintenance (oil change & safety check) for a couple years. Had great service every time till today. Went to put in gas at full service. I forgot to unlock my gas lid then the worker tapped the metal gas nozzle three times on my car, scratching my paint. His coworker laughed because he knew that wasn't the right thing to do. I get it... it's minor but that's not pono of them. I confronted them about it and they told me they didn't do that. They were like my 4th grade students trying to come up with a lie on the spot. "I laughed because he usually taps up here on the car". I just wish they owned up to their mistake and said sorry but they didn't. Where's the aloha nowadays... I came here last year for my safety check. No appointment needed. No problems. In and out. I dropped in today (Saturday afternoon) and there were at least 5 employees sitting around like porch monkeys--goofing off, pouring water on each other's heads... A couple more were working in the garage... After explaining my reason for being there, the young man who greeted me grabbed his clipboard, looked me dead in the eyes, and told me I needed an appointment for this routine inspection that can be completed in under 10 minutes. Perhaps there was nobody on hand qualified to perform the complex and challenging task of verifying my vehicle registration, turning the lights on and off, and that my tint isn't too dark. If that was the real reason I am still without a renewed "safety" sticker, then perhaps this station should put more effort into training their employees so that they're qualified to perform the work offered here. After all, it seems like they have plenty of time to sit on their hands. read more

I had a nail in my rear right tire that causing a slow leak. I initially wanted to plug it myself but to buy the kit and put in the effort would have costed me a few bucks less than coming here and letting the professionals do what they do best. I was greeted by Winston as this is a full serve gas station. I informed him of my situation and he wasted no time helping me. He started by putting air in my tires until Felix came by and said he could do the repair right away. Felix and Winston directed me to the side fence where Felix finished the repair in about 5 minutes. He instructed me to monitor the air pressure and to bring it back if there are any issues. The repair costed $15, which is well worth it for the amount of care and service you're provided with along with the initial problem at-hand. *Don't forget to leave a tip. They'd appreciate knowing that their efforts go a long way. I can't thank this place enough for the service I've been provided with today! They were quick, efficient and extremely helpful. I first came here for my safety inspection after a recommendation from a friend. They work efficiently and have friendly service here. The safety inspection was done in 15 minutes. I decided to come here another time to get one of my tires checked because it was losing air faster than the rest. They inspected, got rid of a small screw from the tire, patched it up nicely-- all in 15 minutes for $15. Fantastic deal. This is the best place to go. This place is a lifesaver! As I was driving, my car alerted me that my tires had low pressure. I tried many different gas stations in town, however I couldn't find anyone who could help me. Since it was Easter, many of them were closed. Finally I came across Burt's. I was so impressed with their quick service. As soon as I parked, an awesome gas attendant came to my window. He filled my car up with gas as he came around to each tire to fill them with air. I was done within minutes. We definitely need more service stations like Burt's! read more

I called around, and many places had the battery I needed, but didn't have any immediate appointments. :( Called Burt's, and not only did they have the battery I needed, but someone had cancelled, so they could take me right away! I pulled in around 7:30 AM to check my tires since my dashboard showed the four tires were unbalanced. Immediately four people came to the car to service it (one to check the tires, one to check the oil, one to wipe all the windows and mirrors, one to pump gas). I was out in no time at all. All right. All right. Hopefully after doing this review, my bad luck will be over. Within a month, I've been here three times, and it wasn't to gas up. I've had a tire puncture on three different tires on separate occasions. The first was my right rear with a screw, then my right rear with TWO metal scraps, but only one was causing a leak, and then my left rear with yet another screw. The screws and nails weren't particularly long. They were shorter than the length of a fingernail. Maybe these tires are terrible, or the car I'm driving can't handle (the windshield was cracked from a small debris that hit the edge of the glass...). I am still trying to figure out if it is a specific area or place I drive to that caused these tire punctures. This gas station is located on Houghtailing/School Street and is quite easy to get in and out. For a small gas station/auto repair shop, there seems to be quite a lot of employees. I was immediately greeted and they quickly checked the tire for the leak. On my first visit, they ran out of tire plugs, so I had go buy some myself and comeback. The person who helped was very fast, and it just cost me $5 for labor. It's normally $15 with the plug. Sweet! The plugs I bought was a set of three, so I thought I'd just keep it in the car for next time.....which I wasn't expecting to be within a week, and then the week after that.... I wonder if it that is why I had three tire punctures. -_- On second and third instances, I had the same great customer service, and I'm suddenly a regular, or now I'm the guy who gets tire punctures all the time... Please, please, please let my left front tire survive! Every time I start the car, I am worried of seeing that tire pressure indicator light on. read more

It's one of my work neighborhood's gas stations that's in between where I work and Kamehameha Shopping Center. I normally don't come here to fill gas, since I normally fill up at Costco since it is cheaper, or somewhere in Kaimuki, where the price is comparable to other gas stations in town. Some will say a penny saved is a penny earned. While that may be true, I can fill up here once in a while and everything would be right in the world. Just like any other gas station across Hawaii, it's normally a quick entry and exit, unless there is a line of cars and the traffic can be horrendous to the point where you would need to search for another one. I'm glad I do not drive that much, so I would just need to fill up maybe ever 2 1/2 weeks, if even that. I normally catch the bus to work, but sometimes, I just need to drive to work on some days where I just am running very late and need to drive and not be late. The process is very simple to pump gas. There is no middle man to tell you what to do and how much you need to do it. When I want to fill just $10 worth of gas, I can do that. I always carry my plastic with me. Very much an annoyance when it's cash only. The staff here is quite helpful, but all I want to do is fill gas and get on with my life. This is a good place to get gas, but then again, any place that's cheap enough can be considered good. Generally speaking, gas stations are a dime a dozen. Very minimal service if all you do is get gas. Maybe I should buy something at their mini mart they have going on, but there is many places to go and Yelp and I can't seem to be here on any given day and buy fast food from a gas station, when you can do it at a 7-Eleven or someplace pretty cooler than a gas station. Just sayin'. This place can be worthy of 4 stars, but it's good for what it is. Thanks to the other Yelper's reviews since I did not know I could get a safety check here. This is the only place we go to for our safety checks. They are friendly and work fast to get you on your way. I also took my vehicle here to fix my brakes. They didnt charge for an inspection because I already knew it was my brakes, this saved me $100. Other places I called charged $100 and up just for this alone. I have rims that require a key to remove the lug nuts. I didnt realize this because I bought my vehicle second hand and was never given a key. They called me and informed me of the situation. They refused to even try and take it off because they didnt want to ruin my rims. Im guessing there are places that would have destroyed it without a care. I didnt know where to go but the mechanic said to try Ron's. I went, they matched a key for me and I was back at the shop. I had my vehicle back by lunch....love it! Warning: this is in a high traffic area so be careful while driving on the lot and also while waiting for your car to be fixed. People drive through to avoid waiting for the light and walk through to get to bus stop instead of walking around. DANGEROUS! read more

Something old fashioned about a car joint with lots of young guys, and they help out my mom who goes to get full service gas since she's handicapped and has a hard time getting in and out of the car, although she can drive. They're always very nice, they check the oil and stuff each time. We also come here exclusively for safety checks. We brought an old car here for someone else to get the safety done because we went to Midas who wrote us a long list of things that were wrong, asked $6K to fix it, and we weren't sure if that was correct. We drove straight here and Uncle checked it out, he said most of the things were nonsense. He did offer to fix the thing that was broken for much less, but it ended up being that it was a bigger fix than it appeared. They called my mom, they spoke to me, they spoke to my friend, they held the car till the end of the day since I was at work, and we weren't sure when they could come and look at it. They allowed us to take the car to decide what we wanted to do - it was a CIRCUS for me, and after all of this, they never charged us a dime. We brought my car here later and they remembered us and asked about the old car. Got the check done in about an hour. I suggest going down early, and at the beginning of the month, so they dont' run out of stickers. Less than $30 cash, in and out! Awesome service! Found a nail in my tire and heard from a friend that they and Insert plugs. I got there on a Wednesday morning before 8am and they put a plug in without putting the car on the rack. This young 20yr old kid sat on the ground pulled the nasty nail then muscled a plug into the tire. I think I was there for only 10 minutes. He only charged me $15 and save me a bundle by not having to replace the tire nor wasting time to do so. This is a great community repair service!! My go to the last couple years to get my truck and my fiancé's car safety checked. One of the reasons why I chose to give my business to this place was because of the small family-owned feel to it. I went in today to get it safety checked and they turned me away. They stated that my truck needed a recon. The same truck they safety checked the past two years, and that has been safety checked at Midas before that. Haven't touched it. When I talked to the manager/owner (I presume) he seemed agitated that I didn't take his employee's word. Should have sent my fiancé in for a different result. Loved the service before today (reason for two stars) in our previous experiences, but won't be back. *UPDATE: Midas safety checked my truck with no hassle, issue or power trips! read more
