Last September, my Honda's dashboard lit up like a Xmas tree. Every warning light came on, so once I was able to pull over and park it, I called Lim's where I've taken my car in for a transmission fluid change 3 years ago. They were honest and efficient back then and they continue to offer the same great service now. Once the problem was diagnosed, I opted to have them do the work rather than take it to the dealership for the repair. It took 3 weeks to complete the job only because the part wasn't available from the dealer. Once they had the part in hand, they fixed it in a day and before they gave me the keys, they test drove my car throughout the day to make sure that the car ran perfectly. When I picked up my car, Hyo took the time to explain what Sonny did to fix my car. To date, my car is still running well and if something else should come up, I will be taking it back to Lim's for servicing. Hyo, Sonny and Steve are awesome at what they do. I was referred to Sonny and his team after the icons in the dash of my teenaged Prius lit up almost all at once. The worst was when the battery light came on right after I hung up the phone. Called them back and they assured me it should still be ok to drive and gave me directions to their location. I waited in their little air-conditioned office space and hung out with Sugar, a very curious and friendly boy kitty. Long story short, they couldn't help me fix my car, but they were very kind and gracious and did not treat me like I was a waste of their time. Went to this place twice already. Each time, they never tried to upsell me to get me to spend more than needed. First issue I thought was tune-up related. Kyo discovered it was a torque converter issue and printed out the service bulletin related to it. He gave me suggestions on where to go for the torque converter replacement and did not charge me for the diagnostic. Second time I went in was because my breaks were grinding. A different employee only charged me for break pad replacement and didn't try to upsell me on the rotors. I am now loyal to this shop and will come here for all my auto needs. The only downside to this place is that parking is tight. Best to call way in advance to make an appointment. Other than that, these guys are honest and reasonably priced. read more

Steve had a little bit of work before starting with me. No biggie. Old school mechanics, honest and dirty (with grease that is). They replaced a broken rear axle for me with a used part from Discount Auto, and the total cost was about $1500. This was way better than the $3400 Nissan wanted for parts alone, labor not included. I was able to get the part delivered to Lim's by Discount Auto due to Steve having called around for me and their relationship with Lim's The location and faces have changed over the years but great to find out Lim's is still a great shop. read more

I was recommended to go to Lim's by my nephew. He said they do good work and are very ethical. I experienced that first hand! The air conditioner on my Subaru Forester was not working properly. I called Lim's and got an appointment for the next day. Steve and Hyo worked on my car efficiently while I waited. After putting in fluid and a dye Hyo told me to come back when the air got warm again because if there was a leak. the dye will show where it was. Well, my air was warm by that afternoon. I called and they were so nice in trying to fit me in for my next appointment. When I returned, Hyo inquired if I checked if my car was under warranty because my car isn't that old and haa low mileage. He even helped me read my car contract. To my surprise, it was under warranty. Hyo suggested I drive over to Subaru service since it was close by and have them fix it. He could've easily taken the job and charged me.
