OVER $6,500 SPENT AND NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!…read more
I genuinely cannot express how terrible our experience with this shop has been. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Between the outrageous prices, horrible communication, unprofessional employees, and complete lack of accountability, this has easily been the WORST experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop.
We originally brought our 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham in for an oil leak. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into a bill of OVER $6,500, with the shop telling us they needed to remove the transmission to complete the work. They kept our car for OVER A MONTH, and throughout that entire time, getting updates was like pulling teeth.
Their communication is absolutely pathetic. Half the time, their phones don't even work, meaning the ONLY reliable way to get information about YOUR OWN VEHICLE is to physically drive down to the shop. Timmo or whatever his name is, is who we dealt with throughout this nightmare, has been consistently unprofessional and, in my experience, seems to have no idea what he's talking about half the time. Getting a straight answer out of this place is nearly impossible.
But here's where things get even worse.
After finally getting our Cadillac back, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED LEAKING JUST DAYS LATER. Keep in mind, we NEVER had a transmission leak before bringing the car to this shop. The transmission only started leaking AFTER THEY REMOVED AND REINSTALLED IT.
We brought the car back, and they replaced a seal. Then they actually had the nerve to try charging us ANOTHER $300 to address a problem that appeared immediately after their original repair. After pushing back, they eventually removed that charge.
You would think that would be the end of it. NOPE.
Now the transmission is leaking AGAIN after less than a month and barely driving it, and instead of taking responsibility or even acknowledging the possibility that something went wrong during their work, Bubba, the owner, is refusing to take accountability.
His excuse? It's an old car.
Apparently, according to Bubba, because our Cadillac is from 1983, that somehow excuses a transmission leak appearing immediately after his shop removed and reinstalled the transmission. We understand perfectly well that older cars require maintenance. What we don't accept is using the age of a vehicle as an excuse to dismiss a problem that DID NOT EXIST before their work.
We have also spoken with multiple people in the lowrider community who are familiar with these cars, and they believe the transmission leak is related to the work this shop performed. Yet Bubba continues to insist they did nothing wrong.
And the icing on the cake? THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US ANOTHER $700, only to then tell us they don't typically perform this type of transmission work!
Are you kidding me? You had no problem removing the transmission, charging us thousands of dollars, and putting it back in, but now that it's leaking, suddenly that type of transmission work isn't something you do?
What makes this entire situation so infuriating isn't just the money. It's the complete refusal to take responsibility. I would have had far more respect for Bubba if he had simply admitted that something might have gone wrong and made a genuine effort to resolve it. Instead, we've been met with excuses, finger-pointing, and more attempts to charge us.
OVER $6,500. MORE THAN A MONTH WITHOUT OUR CAR. MULTIPLE RETURN VISITS. AND NOW A TRANSMISSION LEAK THAT WASN'T THERE BEFORE.
We trusted this shop with a classic Cadillac that means a lot to us, and this is how we've been treated. Owning an older vehicle doesn't mean a customer should have to accept poor workmanship, ridiculous communication, and endless additional charges.
If you own a classic car or lowrider, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting this shop with your vehicle. Based on our experience, once they have your money, getting them to stand behind their work is an absolute nightmare.
I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. Save yourself the money, frustration, and headache. TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE.
