Aulani's Garage does good work with polite and professional service. When my check engine light came on, I was able to call and schedule an appointment for early the following week. They took a look at my car, noted a few other things that needed attention, provided recommendations, and provided a price quote which required approval before proceeding with any work. After issues were identified, they were honest when explaining what was truly necessary versus what was simply a "nice to have". This is particularly helpful when you're on a budget as car repair costs can really add up quickly! I was able to schedule my car drop-off ahead of time, which was super convenient since their location is a bit cramped (right off the highway off-ramp next to Seafood Cartel). This made drop-off and pick-up so much smoother. Fair quotes, great communication, and trustworthy service all around. Recommended if you're in the Salt Lake, Aiea or Pearl City area! P.S. Came in last Saturday with a flat tire. Noticed it after eating next door. They took me in right away and repaired the tire, checked the other tires, and got me out in about 30 minutes. Got my oil changed today. They use synthetic oil which is a better quality and it only took a half hour! In and out so if you value your time, call to make an appointment and they will take excellent care of you! What a great shop! Made an appointment for safety check today. I actually went in about 15 mins early then my appointment time, but they took me in. Looks like they just finished someone prior and started working on my car right away. My car was done fairly quickly, but front desk Jenn was bombarded by a customer asking lots of questions to which she patiently answered and comforted him. I can't get upset at that as that was some awesome customer service. All in all I would have been out of there under 30 mins if he hadn't steamrolled just right when my car was done. Auto shops like this are RARE. Great service, timely, and professional. I especially appreciate their fair pricing! Needed to replace the rear shocks on my car and a friend mentioned having a good experience here. I live in the area so decided to give them a try. This place is a smaller business/garage so you gotta be patient and leave a voicemail because they are usually in the garage working during the day. They will get back to you pretty quick. Was able to get in the next day after my shocks arrived and dropped off at 8AM. Decided to walk back to my apartment since it was just a couple miles away and realized when I got home I left my apartment keys on the key ring! Had to bus it back and when I showed up to get my apartment keys they said they had already installed the parts and made time to test drive my car so I could drive back home :) Super impressed- it's been a long time since I've been to a mechanic/auto shop and felt like I wasn't being taken advantage of. Needed a safety check and everywhere I went, there was either a long line or the only available appointments were weeks later. Looked on Yelp and found Aulani's Garage and decided to give them a shot. I had no clue where to park since the nearby overhang area converts to a restaurant for lunch/dinner (Da Seafood Cartel). Fortunately, the owners notified me that I could park anywhere before 11 while they were starting to open for lunch. Kaeo and his staff help me book my appointment for that day (taking appointments starting after 1000), I went to get a few other errands, came back and got my safety check done. I wish I could keep these guys secret but it would be a shame to not promote them cause of their excellent customer service. The only issue I had was the parking, I still don't know where to park cause that place is always packed with cars being fixed. I love them. I was trying to find a safety check place and everywhere was booked, i made an appointment at lex brodies down the road and when i got there they told me they didnt even have me in their system and turned me away. Aulanis fit me in on the same day. On another occasion they were able to inspect both of my cars on the same day. They barely ever answer their phone but theyve never let me down for a walk in. They charge like $25 for the safety check when another place i went charged me $40. Better to support a local business too. read more

Very accommodating and super nice owner and staff. My car suddenly stalled in front of their shop and was blocking the cars coming down into Aiea. Yikes!!! Owner Kaeo and one of his men immediately saw the commotion and helped push my car into his shop where they were able to examine and diagnose my car. They even went out of their way to troubleshoot the issue for the next 3-4 hours so that I could drive home at least. I felt bad but also thankful it stalled right in front of his shop of all places! Overall, had excellent customer service and they did everything they could to help a stranded stranger. They even had reliable referrals for tow companies that they work with.
