I've been to Neue Auto a few times now and honestly wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Alvin and Codi are both so amazing, just very helpful and professional. They're usually able to take me in pretty soon too which is great. On my most recent visit, I went in thinking I needed specific work done, but Codi realized it was a totally different issue. He fixed it right then and there, so I didn't even need the major work I thought I did! As a woman in my early 20s, I'm always prepared to be sold on things I don't need, but that never happens here. They're so good at explaining what happened and I've never felt ripped off. I'd like to start off by mentioning the great things I experienced. The team working on my truck was extremely knowledgeable and patient throughout the process. My partner received pictures and updates along the way, and I truly appreciated the communication, especially since they had my truck overnight. One challenge was how narrow the entrance is when pulling in, but thankfully that wasn't too much of an issue during drop-off. My experience ended up being 4 stars because I paid $704 for diagnostics and a transmission fluid service, only to be told that the transmission issues would likely continue over time. The recommendation given was that replacing the vehicle might be a better option if we didn't want to continue investing money into the truck. Afterward, I reached back out to ask for a quote on either rebuilding or replacing the transmission so I could better understand my options. Unfortunately, I've waited quite a while without receiving a response. At this point, even after spending the money on the diagnostics and service, the truck is still undrivable and sitting in a parking lot while I continue paying for a rental car. I completely understand that transmission work can be complicated, and I am grateful they were able to inspect my truck since I don't know much about transmissions myself. When I first brought the truck in, I also mentioned an issue with my taillight. I was initially told it would be added to the diagnostics at the end, but it was never looked at. I was later informed that I would need to pay an additional $185 just to diagnose the taillight issue. At that point, I decided to simply pick up the truck. The communication was excellent from start to finish while the vehicle was actively being worked on, but as a returning customer, I do feel disappointed that I haven't received any follow-up regarding the transmission quote. I went on Yelp and submitted a new project for my vehicle's repair. Neue was one of a few shops that replied and had availability. They were upfront about their diagnostic fee of $185 plus tax. I needed a new alternator, belt, and battery for my 2006 RAV4. I asked for a rough estimate so I could compare it to a few other shops, and they told me $400-$600 for parts and labor. After reading other positive reviews, I decided to have my car towed from Kaneohe to this shop. The drop-off went smoothly, and I received a call shortly after with two quotes. The first quote was $2,075 to replace the alternator, belt, and battery, and the second was $3,200 to also fix an oil leak in the engine. This is an older vehicle, and the quote was 4-5 times higher than what was originally estimated. I decided to pay the $185 diagnostic fee and take my car to a different shop. After calling around to a few smaller shops, they told me this specific car requires more labor because the radiator has to be removed. However, they said it should cost between $1,000-$1,300 at most. I ended up going to a local shop, and they completed the repairs for $1,150. They also checked for an oil leak and found nothing. This shop not only bait-and-switched me on pricing but also tried to get me to pay an extra $1,200 for a repair I didn't need. I would give 0 stars if I could and will be telling family and friends to avoid this shop, as they are not honest. UPDATE: 04/16/26 I uploaded a picture of the Yelp message coming directly from your company, so you can't call me a liar. 'If you can't produce this, what you're saying isn't just false, it's libel.' That is a direct quote from you. I also wasn't looking for the cheapest repair, I was looking for a fair quote. After visiting your shop I called three different shops and you quoted roughly twice the amount that they did. So I went with a shop that priced right in the middle and had good reviews. It's also interesting that you didn't mention your $1,200 quote for an oil leak that didn't exist. Your pricing is your pricing I just wish you were upfront about it or provided me with a more realistic quote. The shop I went to used all brand-new parts but sold them at cost rather than upcharging their customers. That business has been around for over 30 years, so it's surprising that you would resort to insulting their credibility rather than owning up to your mistake and making things right. Thank you for further proving my point about why people should avoid your shop. Maybe this isn't the experience for everyone, but as a first impression, it guaranteed that I won't be returning. I award 5 Star rating to Neue Auto LLC, earned due to the diligence and honesty displayed by service advisor Mr. Alvin Niki and the Automotive Technician that performed the OBD Diagnostic test on our 2013 XC60 vehicle which begin indicating engine warnings, shutoff in safety mode and ending in engine service required urgent. The diagnostic revealed Crash Zone Faults still stored on board. Mr. Niki's explanation was thorough, understandable to this elderly veteran, Mr. Niki recommended I contact Insurance Adjuster explain the situation. Instead of we can fix it, Mr. Niki's recommendation was the wisest. He was not deterred about losing a future customer in explaining that what we needed is a little beyond the their capabilities, given the dealership would have the Vehicle specific diagnostic tools and the ability to factory reset the electronics. We will be having our XC60 veicle serviced by Neue Auto LLC in the future. The WAIT ~ I had an appointment for 8:30am.. they didnt take my car till almost close because supposedly appointments that MISSED the day prior took precedence (not cool). 2. The QUOTE ~ The Friday I took my car (which I had to wait the WHOLE day for a diagnosis, see complaint #1), I was told possibly around $600.. when they FINALLY called me back Saturday afternoon, they told me it was going to be $2600!! How does it jump over 4X's the amount?!? When we got a hold of another mechanic, he got me ALL the parts (less than $1K) and charged me ONLY $600 for the labor and my car was up and running within 5 - 6 hours. If negative stars were available, that would be this company's score. This company took my money and did not fix my car, BEWARE!! They charged me $700, then told me I had to have the car towed back to my house while the DME module was sent for "repair", after two weeks of not getting ANY responses about the status of DME, I canceled the credit card charge. But then miraculously, they called and said the DME was ready but didn't have the techs available to come out to install it for a few days !!?? I re-instated the charge and volunteered to install it myself since it was just a plug-in module. Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem. At this point, they wanted the car towed back to the shop again. WHO WORKS ON CARS LIKE THAT?!!! I talked with the place that Neue sent DME to and they said it tested good and shipped the unit back on February 8th. Neue told me they just got it back on the 23rd after I called them over 10 times during that period. So in short, they spent 15 minutes "diagnosing" the car, then I paid to have it towed to my house, in addition to the fact that I had to call them 10 times, cancel original charge to find out the part was magically available but no can come to install it...now going on 3 weeks and they wanted me to do the car tow fire drill again... In summary, they made approx. $500 for 15 minutes of time. I didn't write a review at the time because we had a death in the family and frankly, I was done with them and their shady operations. Can't go wrong when most places charge as separate services. Oops. Forgot they use full synthetic oil too. My car was done faster than they said it would take and ready when I came back for it. They have a waiting area but I recommend dropping off your vehicle. These guys are thorough with the service and it takes time sometimes. If you're unsure of what your car problems are, have the team take a look and they will find it. AC was blowing "cool", but not cold air. After filling up my car with freon every other month and driving with the windows down, I knew that I needed a permanent fix. A friend recommended that I give these guys a chance. After talking on Yelp, I made an appointment and arrived the next day. I've assumed that the compressor was faulty, but after they diagnosed the entire AC system, it turns out that it was a bad leaking condenser. I was able to save some money now that the mechanics found the source of the actual problem. They had the part on hand, got to work, and I was able to pick my car up the next day. Now my car is blowing cold air and after "chilling" in my car (pun intended) for a moment, I've realized that I've taken it for granted. Their prices are affordable and it was money well spent. Called Thursday afternoon, was asked to call Friday as they were closing. (No problem). Saw the good reviews and explained I had low coolant and my engine temperature was high. I was told the process is a $185 diagnostic, followed by service. Diagnostic fee applies to service. Called Friday Morning expecting to come in but was told to set an appointment for Monday 9:45 AM. Explained again was looking for a coolant flush. I did not notice any leaks while car has been parked overnight. Was quoted $200-$400 for coolant flush. Monday showed up for appointment. Warm receptionist. Explained that I needed coolant for the car and if possible to be safe an oil change. She told me the diagnostic may take a bit (they are busy) but offered a Uber ride one way and to come back. Pretty awesome. I reiterated to call me and let me know when diagnostic was done. Watched a movie at ward. It's 2PM and diagnostic write up not done. I stayed and waited. They told me I could leave the car but I felt like it's been 4 hours already and no diagnostic and I just want a coolant flush and possible oil change $2200 quote. Showed me a few pictures of oil residue. Suggested oil gasket replacement. Even mentioned car could be a fire hazard. I keep pretty good care of the care and explained a drop in oil in the day before. I declined and asked for just the coolant flush and oil change. Even offered to sign that I declined full estimate. What made me feel terrible was that not knowing or telling me at all that he decided to put 100% water in my coolant while I was away. Usually I would have to agree to any service. I appreciate the oil top off of a quart, but water in a coolant was a deal breaker for me. I asked if he could take that out, offered to pay for a complete coolant flush as I originally wanted. He said there was a coolant leak so I asked to see it. 315 pm here. I have had the car on and see no leaks. I'm disappointed to be refused service, but more disappointed I was told that distilled water would not damage a car while simultaneously being told my car takes specifically 50/50 coolant formula. read more

Neue was a blessing to find. After going in circles for three months with a nissan dealer, Tony nissan to be exact. I decided to take my truck to another shop for diagnosis of problems. I did some research on yelp and found neue automotive repair. I sent a message to them on yelp explaining the issue I was sill having even after Tony Nissan replaced all these parts; MAF, exhaust manifolds, spark pluugs, wire, distributor cap, fuel injectors, and this was after I initially had tony nissan do the timing belt replacement package. This is when all the problems started with my truck and tony Nissan couldn't find their own mistake. Neue automotive repair diagnosed the problem and fixed it in two days. Truck is running excellent now. Problem was spark plugs over gapped and timing gear mark off by approximately two teeth by certified technicians at tony nissan. In two days Neue automotive had my truck up and running excellent. It is so amazing. Also, another thing I really appreciate with Neue automotive is their communication updating me of the status of my vehicle or ither issues. Me having a automotive background can see the knowledge and expertise these guys at Neue have. They explain everything step by step. They won me over, and definitely will go back when my vehicle require maintenance or service. Skip the dealers, go to Neue. All the employees are friendly and easy to talk to. read more
