Great quality and value. Friendly customer service and management. This business is also located right next to the Skyline train stop, so you can catch the train or a bus easily from this location if you need to go somewhere for a few hours. Will definitely be back to this business for future jobs! read more

Repairs Done Right - Bay area of business - Auto Repair Near Me - Waipahu, Hawaii

I had a great experience with Repairs Done Right. I found them through Yelp, they replied extremely quick and quoted me the best price for the service I requested. They were able to find the issue quickly and despite having to conduct a huge job (timing belt & high-pressure fuel pump work) my car was only in the shop for a day. Pros: genuine OEM parts, quick repair, accurate quote, detailed break down of the work and cost per part/labor, friendly employees, convenient location) I definitely recommend repairs done right and would use their services again, my car is running great. read more

I showed up to RDR one early morning (they weren't even open yet), my cars check engine light was on and my car was smoking. Ariel greeted me so kindly and offered to take my car in so this I did. She was so kind and understanding well beyond exceptional customer service. Extra ordinary would be a fair rating for her service. Within 2 days my car was fixed, hallelujah! They did a great job and helped me understand what was wrong with my car and what needed to be repaired. I will never go to another auto service company again. RDR had my loyalty and commitment for a lifetime. Thank you Ariel & staff! read more

My Tacoma required major engine repair, was at a repair shop in Kalihi for over a month only to find that they were incapable to do that level of repair. I had it towed to Repairs Done Right in Waipahu. Billy gave me a recommendation and estimate. I really didn't want to part with my Tacoma, I ended up getting the engine replaced along with almost everything that bolts up to it, restoring my 31 year old truck. I'm happy with the work that was done and I highly recommend this repair shop if you want " Repairs Done Right" read more

Will definitely use for any repairs I may need in the future. To all the staff at Repairs Done Right, thank you for the outstanding customer service and repairing my car brakes to feel brand new again. read more

My old Jeep broke down and I didn't know where to go. I saw Repairs Done Right had rave reviews, so I decided to go there. I told the tow truck driver where I was going and he told me that was the best place around, and that they would treat me fairly. He was right! They replaced my fuel pump and got me back on the road. My gf brought her 2000 Honda Accord V6 there and they got it running like new. A good, trustworthy repair shop is hard to find. I'll be telling my friends about this one. read more

Submitting this review 3 months after repairs were completed. My transmission would not shift into gear. Called RDR for an appointment and they were able to take me in the next day. I towed my car to their shop and they quickly diagnosed my vehicle needing a clutch replacement. Quote was sent electronically and upon acceptance my car was ready for pickup two days later. Payment was done electronically and so far the car drives and shifts normally. Service was efficient and price was fair. read more

My truck threw a code for a thermostat. They were quick to set up an appointment and get the work done a few days later. Clear invoice and explanation. Nice people to work with from over the phone to when I dropped off and picked up. Payment was easy with their online payment system. read more

I was told that my brakes needed to be rebuilt and that it was going to cost $1600. I couldn't afford that so I had my truck towed away. I paid almost $300 for diagnosing the problem. Anyway, I had my truck towed to another shop (one I use regularly) and they found a disconnected cable. They connected it and road tested the vehicle. They didn't find any other problems. They also didn't charge me anything since it was just a disconnected cable! Needless to say, I was not happy with Repairs Done Right. I gave them 2 stars because they took my vehicle right away and they were prompt in replying to messages. read more

Can I just say.... Five stars just isn't enough!!! We have used them for several services! Took our car to good year to get an oil change they said we had all these problems. They quoted me an arm and a leg to fix only some of the issues. Came to repairs done right and they were able to diagnose my vehicle with issues good year did not even find! They gave me quotes for all the work I needed done, and gave me a honest timeline of when I actually needed to get these repairs done. They did not push to make money off of me and made sure I was comfortable with the service I was receiving. The day of my repairs... they even looked at and fixed my ac for free after all the work I was getting done! I highly highly recommend them for all car repairs!!!! read more

Ariel is one of the most polite and pleasant people I've have dealt with. Our regular mechanic recommended Repairs Done Right because he couldn't diagnose an issue we were having. Ariel scheduled us for a diagnosis appt (we had to wait almost 1 week for an opening). Billy gave us a quote and we approved the work. We drove away the next day, weird noise gone, car fixed. I didn't use it, but RDR has a neat system to text you the quote, you can click a link to approve the repair, then pay online before you pickup your car. read more

Billy and his team are freaking awesome from the moment I put in my request via yelp I got clear and precise information

Billy and team fixed my daughter's car at the drop of a hat with no questions asked. Even made recommendations without pressure and still more inexpensive than previously quoted through another shop. They are honest and stand-up individuals. Would highly recommend! read more

Friendly guy, only interacted with Billy unless someone else was communicating with me through text. I requested a quote for front brakes (rotor and pads) and for diag on a noise coming from the front passenger wheel. I ended up getting front brakes (pads and rotors), new front tires (needed them), front struts (needed them) and the front wheel bearings which i figured was the issue before I contacted them. All of the stuff they recommended were things I felt needed to be changed, so it was nice to get those done. I also asked them to do an oil change since the car was already there and it needed it. Billy went in on a Sunday even though the shop was closed to complete the work on my car and I was able to pick up that same day. All in all great experience, transparent pricing and great service. I'd take my car there again. read more

Last night, my Corolla started shaking as it entered the garage. The "Check Engine" light also went on. Next morning, I left a request in Yelp and RDR was the first to reply. If I could have the car towed there, they could fix it. Sure enough! I got AAA to tow the car and within 90 minutes, it was diagnosed and fixed! Apparently, there was a faulty ignition coil that caused a spark plug to fail. What other repair shop takes a car on a walk (tow) in after lunch and has it ready by 3 p.m.? I can't say that will be true for everyone because the degree of difficulty in repairs varies, but that's as quick a repair as I've ever had. I once needed tire repair and took it to another shop (that will remain nameless), but I waited FOUR hours to have a screw removed and the hole plugged. Something that could easily have been done in 5 minutes. read more

Quick and awesome service! My brake lights wouldnt turn off. So happy to have my car fixed!

Great work on my leaking differential and was able to squeeze in a fix for an AC compressor that broke the night before my appointment.

Went in to get my front & rear brakes done. Got all brake pads, rotors, & passenger side caliper repaired. Fair prices. Great service & done in a timely manner. Will definitely be going back to Repairs Done Right for any future repairs needed to my 2007 4Runner. read more

Polite and timely service. However, poor internal communication within the shop claiming they didn't know vehicle was picked up despite notifying me the car was in fact ready for pick up. Several parts and bolts left off the vehicle. Mistakes happen but things like this can easily be avoided... read more

My first experience here worked out so well, that I plan on switching my car needs to here. Unlike my last place that couldn't find parts for my old car, and hesitant with the parts that I found on my own, Billy didn't even need my help. The whole process was a step up from what I'm used to. I got a quote with all the breakdown, clicked on a link to approve it, paid online with a credit card (my last place charged extra for paying with a c/c, so I'd write an old-fashion check), and show up for my appointment. I also appreciated being able to talk and ask questions directly to Billy, owner and mechanic, so that there's no miscommunication/misunderstanding that can happen if only being able to talk with a receptionist, like at so many places. This place is also very conveniently located walking distance to the rail. read more

Speedy and great value repair. Came in for an a/c compressor replacement after comparing estimations with other shops, and decided to go with these folks. These guys filled me in on all my concerns, and went out of their way to actually show me. Even though I just needed the a/c compressor replacement, I ended up also getting a serpentine belt + tensioner replacement as was their recommendation. The process was quick, and waited less than 2 hours for the car to be ready. (Other shops quoted it to be 3-4 hours just for the compressor). Would heavily recommend, waiting room was comfy and cold too. read more

It's been a few weeks since I had some work done here and I'm happy with the repair that was done. My engine was leaking oil from multiple areas. I dropped my car off and picked it up a few days later because the repair was going to take time. No leaks! They gave me an estimate for the work...just decided to get it taken care of. I like the fact that they communicate well and explain things simply. Happy with the service. read more

Toyota Camry. Brought in for knocking sound when I drove over uneven surfaces. It drove me crazy and was told by another company that they couldn't fix it and I needed to take it to the dealership if case the airbag deploys. Ariel was such a pleasure to work with from the initial conversation, I could stay in her office and talk with her all day. They were quick to see me and communicated with me effectively. Dropped off my car around 11, got the call that it was done by 3. Billy was kind and determined to find out what the cause of the sound was so that I can leave satisfied. He was honest and I really appreciated his attention to my car and my thoughts on the issue. I didn't feel like I was lost in the countless papers and plastic jackets that happen with other car companies. My car is sound free and I am a very satisfied and grateful customer that didn't have to pay the $1900 that was quoted from other places. Needless to say, I will be sending everyone with car issues their way. THANK YOU guys so much for all of your help! read more

I had a slight brake issue on my wife's car and saw rave reviews on Yelp about this place. Having a brake problem is something you should take seriously cause if you ignore it, you get into a car wreck. Anyway I made an appointment and dropped it off. I decided to include maintenance tune up, transmission fluid flush, along with my brake job. The work was done and we were satisfied with the job done. It cost an arm and a leg, but better than buying another car... mind you my Crv is 13yrs old... never changed those thing. The staff was very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend this place for any domestic car repairs... they don't do safety checks and foreign car repairs. read more

My check engine light came on and got a ODB reading of "Coolant Thermostat". I called and spoke to Billy to see if he could take my car in that morning. He stated that they were booked but asked me what the problem was. When I told him he stated "code P0128". He knew the code right off the top of his head. He told me that I could still drive the car, that the problem wouldn't blow up the engine or anything bad until I could bring it in. Billy was able to take in the car within 2 days and had it fixed within 3 hours. Really great communication, service and price. I saw them on a news story so I decided to try them out. Really happy with my decision and will use them again. read more

In short, my radiator fan completely broke and was loose in its shroud. Then I find out upon bringing my vehicle there that the A/C condenser fan is also broken... it figures ‍ I had a very limited budget to work with, and was pleasantly surprised that I could meet my budget with some generous wiggle room. It's a pleasant surprise to know that there are places that still keep things, direct, honest, and reasonable. Do your part to keep places like this in business! read more

Quality work and they are not trying to rip you off like the dealership. The value is reasonable.

Great place--especially the office manager Ariel. They did an oil pan gasket for me, that ended up leaking. I let them know about it, and they took it in right away and fixed the issue at no cost. Additionally, they paid for new AMSOIL oil to replace the stuff I put in there previously that leaked out. They stood by their work. RESPECT. read more

I recently had my transmission fluid changed at Repairs Done Right. I drive a 2023 Honda Pilot and I was sick & tired of the dealership's attempts to sell me on unnecessary services. RDR not only completed the transmission fluid change (for half the price that Honda was trying to charge!), Billy was also nice enough to look over the list of "suggested" services that was being pushed on me by Honda & told me what I did & did not need. Honest, fair pricing & friendly service. Highly recommend ditching the dealership & visiting RDR! read more

I am so grateful for Repairs Done Right for fixing many issues I had with my Dodge Grand Caravan. I researched many shops, reviews and was drawn to their high ratings. Before towing my van to their shop, I sent Billy a video of the noise I was concerned about upon starting the engine and he already had an idea of what was wrong with it. Only when I got there did I think to ask if they take extended warranty. I panicked when they said no. (I know, I know....it's my fault for not asking before I towed it there.) So I resigned to the fact that I would pay for the repairs and try to get reimbursed by the extended warranty company. To my surprise, the next day Ariel went above and beyond and called the extended warranty company and upon discussing it with Billy, they made an exception for me! I was so relieved and overjoyed! The repairs were done in 1 week. Billy, Ariel and the entire crew at Repairs Done Right, I can't thank you enough! read more

Really pleased with this shop! Ariel the office Manager is very pleasant and Sean...just a cool dude! He even cleaned our rims as the CV boot had sprayed grease, due to leak.
