This will be long but worth the read. I do not leave many reviews but I cannot overlook the fact that they wasted my money and most of all, my time. I have a ram promaster ecodiesel that needed to be taken out of limp mode. There was a check engine light on putting it into limp mode. They "diagnosed" the issue but from the conversation we had over the phone, he did not seem all that confident they could fix the issue. But he reassured me that he will do everything they can to fix the issue. I also want to add that he did say his diesel mechanic had another project and will get to it when he can. They have now had my van for over 3 MONTHS(3 months and a week to be exact). I called just a week or two ago to check on it there was no answer. I left a voicemail and never received a call back. I found another shop that would take it and actually work on it. CONCLUSION: It's clear to me now that they had no real idea whether they could fix the issue in the first place. I received absolutely no updates for over two months, no returned call, and still got charged $135 for a "diagnosis." If your vehicle has a specialized issue, I would not trust this shop with it. read more

Easiest, quickest, and cheapest safety check! It gets busy fast so be prepared to try to keep out of the way. I accidentally pulled right in since it was empty and skipped ahead without knowing. There was a person who parked, spoke to the owner, and was told to drive his car in just before I got there, but I had no idea that happened until I pulled in and heard the owner tell me that he'd take care of that person first. He was extremely nice about it and I apologized, but I have to say that everything was so quick I only waited no more than 5 minutes. You get in, get out, all so effectively and he helps you get out too with the incoming lanes. Very nice person and wonderful business! read more

Not sure why this place has bad reviews. The guy isn't even rude. He's extremely black and white & straight to the point. He's not there to waste your time or his time. We've been going here for many, many years. Always courteous, fast, excellent service. Mr. Lee retired several years ago, and we were worried that the company was going to close or be taken over by someone who didn't have the the same standards. Well, no worries. The people who took it over are carrying on the Lee's Garage tradition. Excellent place to take your car for a safety check. Went back to get the sticker on our car for the safety check. When we asked if he had a tool to put the plates on he said I can't be bothered with this and was very unhelpful. I guess we will go buy a screw driver and do it ourselves. This guy is the meanest laziest mechanic I've ever met. He was not helpful in any way. Yea go sit back in your chair you lazy asshole. Went for Inspection and they claimed my blinker wasn't working. Instead of a quality job, they did some rigging to get it to blink and then charged me 345.!!! Very cocky and rude and disrespectful. He stated this isn't one of your friends who help you with your car, we charge 75.00 an hour. I asked him to add a can of freon and he stated it would cost $75...one of the guys drives a fancy car so he must love to take advantage so he can make his car payment. I needed a safety inspection and it was 4pm on a Friday. Most places were closed and the places that were still open were booked a few weeks out with a few having some slots open for the next day or Saturday. So I decided to take a chance and get it done here despite some of the less than stellar Yelp reviews. As others here have pointed out, Lee is not the friendliest guy. But I came here needing a safety check, not a new best friend. His English is limited. But if you need a safety inspection, this guy is quick. The price was $25 and I was in and out in under 15 minutes. So I can't complain. I can't speak to his mechanic skills but despite his gruff attitude, he comes off as a no nonsense kind of guy that would give you a fair deal without trying to rip you off. But again, I didn't have any car work done here just the safety inspection. His puppy was chilling in his office when I pulled up and came out to greet me. Surely a man who likes animals must have some humanity in him? The rude car mechanic with a heart of gold? I don't know but if you are looking for a quick, cheap safety check and don't mind that he isn't going to high-five you and be your new bro, I'd recommend giving this place a try. read more

As a fellow small business owner, my pet peeve is when owners act like their customers are an inconvenience to them. I came here simply for a safety and Lee managed to rub me the wrong way instantly. Brought my car to have the belt changed then they said i have to change belt tensioner too, I didn't have time to buy parts so I left my car over night next day I went to the shop with the parts they put it in, started the car and said I needed a new radiator. Lee is awesome. Great person with one thing on his mind... to do his job. He knows what he needs to do and he is not in the business to make friends but to make sure he does what he needs to do to get a repeat customer. His work ethic and skill shows why he is still in business. It is not for any other reason. Let the culture bias stop right here. If you don't understand people from other cultures; if you have a problem with respecting the way other people are, then find another auto mechanic. Leave personality out of it. Let his work ethic and skills do the talking. I will always travel from the North Shore to work with Lee because of his timely service and knowledge I could use anyone and make a friend with anyone. I have been taking my vehicles to Mr. Lee for the last 15 years because he does high quality work at a fair price. Most of all Mr. Lee is as honest a mechanic you will ever come across. Example: I took my car to Mr. Lee to check my brakes to see if they needed to be replaced and Mr. Lee said, "come back in 6 months, they are still good for now". You can't beat that kind of honesty. I have always taken my car to mr lee.. He is very honest and knows what he's doing. I am a new yelper and not affiliated with the business but the other day when I was looking for there phone number I google searched them and yelp was the first on the search ranking .. Mr lee could pronally care less about yelp since he has a loyal following but I felt obligated to write this review because of the other review I have just seen.. Out of all the crappy mechanics I have run into mr lee is top notch and the bad review is probably written by someone out of fustration for having to pay to fix his car. 90% of the business mr lee gets is korean customers so that's probably why he doesn't have many reviews but yelpers should know this is a hidden gem and in the past years me and lots of family / friends have used lees garage and never been cheated or charged for something that was not needed to be repaired read more
