Great service...owner was able to get me high performance special tires for my Model X Tesla...that Tesla dealership didn't have in stock the Germany made General Tires, that are for hi-performance tires for cars driven on Auto-von...where there's no speed limit... Replace from tires with Mitchelin hi-performance tires....not cheap...but rides better than Korean Hornbook tires.. Safety and performance are important!!! read more

The biggest drawback of the 2024 Tesla Model Y (or any pre-Juniper model) is the jarring suspension, it just doesn't ride like a luxury car should. After doing some research and finding the right coilover kit for my car (went with MPP if anyone cares) I needed to find the right company to do the best job. Submitting "project requests" on Yelp is easy enough but I wanted to control who I was sending my requests to, so I selected the top 3 companies on Yelp. From start to finish everything went well with David and his crew. I had an unusual job: I wanted to put on custom rims, steps, pistons for my rear door, and a tire ladder on a mercedes sprinter 4x4 cargo van. It required modifying the front wheel well to accomodate the larger rim and tire. I asked David for a quote, and he delivered them quickly. The price was more than reasonable and the way Dave approach was so kind and friendly. I had first difficult time finding the shop near the time close, but he kindly gave me the direction which goes to ramp to second floor. The shop is very well organized and everything seems in place. The resting area is inside and very well air conditoned. The atmosphere waiting at the shop is very comforting and I have my new shop for any of my tire needs in this Island. I picked up a screw on my front tire on my Tacoma and needed a repair ASAP! Being that I bough all 4 of my tires from Goodyear I thought it would be better to go there to get it patched just in case that they may need to replace my specialty tire. I woke up early to call Goodyear Kapolei promptly at 8 AM to get a reservation or at least ask their morning timeline. It went straight to a automated message board. I left a message and my number. I called a few more times to hopefully speak to an actual person but to no avail. I ended up driving over. Got there in 10 minutes, it's now 8:15 AM and there's already a line. When I get to the front, I let them know my situation and ask them their timeline and they said it would be a 4 to 5 hour wait!!! Being I had to be at work in an hour I hightailed it to Mod industries in Kalihi on the recommendation of my boss. Called them and an actual person (Dave, the owner) answered the phone. He was very personable and friendly. He listened to my request, and even though he was out of the specific patch they needed, his assistant Micah gladly checked my tire in for repair. Not only did they do a great job on the patch but they totally hooked me up with an ridiculous price! Ridiculous! All this to say that I understand why my boss is so loyal to Mod Industries, they are good people with a great work ethic! I totally recommend Mod industries for any of your tire needs. read more

We have been getting quotes for coilovers from a few shops. Dave gave us quotes online and communication was great. Went down a few weeks ago to meet Dave at his shop. Gave me a couple options to lower our Acura ilx. Decided to go with the tein coilovers which Dave ordered. There was no pressure to upsell me. The order took a week or so to arrive. Today the set was installed; took a few hours only. Pros: excellent communication, customer service, price to install and location. Cons: not in stock; have to special order which is understandable Been to other shops and felt rushed with the customer service. Also they charged a lot more for labor. I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline and I ordered an 2" lift kit off of Amazon. I called around and David was the most helpful person I spoke to out of 2-3 shops I called. He ordered new shocks and struts for my truck and scheduled my install once all my parts came in. He quoted me a price and a install time about 3hrs. Went to see David regarding a 3in lift for my 2nd generation Tacoma. He quickly gave some recommendations. I sent him an email the following week for an estimate for the lift and tires and he responded with a couple of hours. In 2 weeks after that my parts arrived and installation and alignment was done.
