I've never floated on roads until this morning when the roads decided to transform into rivers. Luckily for me, I had just asked for 4 tires for my anniversary and I got a coupon for tires at Sears! I had an appointment with Sears Auto center in a few weeks to get all 4 of my tires changed. For my car, I need 18" wheels, and Sears quoted me around $1100, which included a friends and family 10% discount. Costco also boasted similar prices. Then last night my yelp buddie Tze M. (thank you!) posts her review about this place. I decided to call them after I started hydroplaning this morning. Yay for yelp: I got tires, it was cheaper, and now I can spend the extra money on something else, like food! LOCATION: Sand Island Road. Drive past American Carpet One, New Hope, and turn right up the ramp of the Amerisource Bergen building. WHO COMES HERE: they sell tires and rims for all kinds of cars - 4 door sedans, trucks, monster trucks, racing cars, luxury European cars, soccer mom SUVs, and everything in between! CUSTOMER SERVICE: David (the owner) and John (who answered the phone and did my tires today) were both extremely helpful, they didn't try to "upsell" more things than I really need like at Sears (don't even get me started, but Sears will try to sell you TPM, extended warranties etc.), and they were punctual - they said it would take an hour, and it was done in 44 minutes. That is extremely important when you have little kids in the waiting area - always good to under promise and over deliver!! EXPERIENCE: these guys have been in the business for a long time! JN Automotive trusts them enough to send their customers (from the high end Bentleys, Ferraris and other fine Italian cars, to the Audi, Mazda and Chevrolet) to them for all their tire needs. PRICE: they got me the same type of tires that I had on my car (performance, ride, etc.) for $400 less than what Sears was going to charge me! If you want the Michelin/Goodyear/Toyo tires, you go to Costco/Sears, but if you just want good performance tires that won't slide and fishtail in the puddles, this place is worth checking out. From what I can tell so far, the tires are great. I hope they last 40,000 miles like they're supposed to. **Must make appointment. Master Card accepted. read more

David and Micah are the BEST!!! For staters it took me 5 years to finally give my car the appearance it truly needed. Back then I used to own a Honda and it just came with everything. But for me to give my corolla splus the look I always wanted is mind blowing. Don't get me wrong, I know nothing about my ride, but with the help of David and Micah, they made a dream a reality. I've been researching alot and judging from other places, their prices were kinda high and the time to do the installation was way too long for me, especially because for me, flexibly for time is very important when it comes to balancing my family life. Anyways, when I came across Mod Industries, David was able to work a scedule with me to squeeze me in to install a set of eibach lowered springs. The price for installation was GREAT!! The time for install was PERFECT. In a few hours my car was sitting on lowered springs. I was like WOW and amazed how fast the installation was compared to other places quotes like 4-5 hours for a much steeper price for install. I asked David what would he recommend for coilovers. One of the suggestions he made was BC Coilovers. I thought about it for a few days and after constant review about the coilovers, I went and purchased it. Once i got it, i gave David a call and we locked in a installation date. Everything went well, it looked exactly how I wanted it, but I couldn't keep it that low. Coming from a guy who knew absolutely nothing about coilovers except you can adjust the ride height. I gave David a call and was able to squeeze me in to raise it up. Great shop and even better people. I emailed David regarding getting my HID lights replaced (after being poorly installed by another shop) with LED lights. David emailed me back within the hour and I got an appointment the very next day. Lucky for me he had the exact lights that would fit my car. I came in 45 min before my appointment and the moment I walked in, he greeted me promptly and got straight to work. Very knowledgeable and very helpful with all my questions. I was in and out before my actual appointment time and that was him taking his time making sure everything is good and the way it should be. I'll be back for some new wheels one day. Five stars! Story: Driving around with one tire deflating everyday & refilling air into it on a daily basis was getting pretty darn annoying. Went to my auto dealer & was told that no nails were found in the tire. So, maybe then it's the stem valve, the seals between the tire, and/or rim, or even a split in my actual tire. Or even, that's how my rims & tires are made. Or gotta use Nitrogen, instead of regular pressured air in the tires. No way...no can be! All kind scenarios. Man, the stress that was causing me! I finally decided to change my tires. Even though it was only a year and a half old. Something was definitely wrong with that tire. My friend tells me about this tire place he went to, MOD Industries, & the great service and tires he got from there. So, frustrated with my faltering wheel, I decided to call. I called the day prior and asked if they had my tire size in stock. Had! Check! Awesome! Then, if they had any openings for the next day. Double check! Super! Finally I was quoted a price over the phone. What a great deal! Tripe check! The person over the phone was super friendly too. Quad check! Yew haw!! The next day, I bring my car in to get the tires changed. The first guy I meet was super friendly and nice. This is awesome! Then I went into the office. The owner is super nice & cool too! Totally awesome! Within less than an hour, all four tires are changed out. Wow!! Most excellent! The climax to the story you may ask? Nail in the tire! Super small one, but enough to puncture through. Bummer part is that it was super close to the tire wall. That's pretty much a blown tire...new ones needed. Super awesome job to MOD Industries, finding that culprit nail! (Bad marks for my auto dealer for not finding that - but that's another review later for my auto dealer) Finally tonight....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOD Industries for your tires. Called on a Friday, inquiring about a headlight replacement for my car and spoke with Dave. He listened to what I had to say but gave me an alternative that I definitely had interest in so he told me he'd put the order in and let me know when it'd be time to bring the car in. A few days later he let me know that the product had come in and because he was booked through the week offered to have me come in earlier than their standard opening time (10am) to get the job done and I was down! Went with American Racing rims w/Nexen tires. Put in an order and the wheels arrived and were installed within a week. Gave the car a cool look and was a big step up from the Prius stock rims. Once the wheels were on, decided to go "all in" and lower the car about an inch so it would have a lower profile but still look like it was owned by someone over 18 yo:). Ordered H&R springs which took a bit longer than expected to come in which was no prob. Mod had them installed in less than 2.5 hours and the car looks really great.
