I had a flat tire and needed assistance ASAP. I went to Goodyear because they were so close and Shelby, Cody & the Goodyear guy who fixed my flat were amazing!! They accommodated me, were super kind & helpful & wouldn't even accept payment for the job!! Cody even let me know about Goodyear's 4 year battery warranty, which is longer than the one I have now & awesome tire warranty also!! Apparently if you setup an appointment online it is not reflected in store. So my advice is to call the shop before scheduling anything. As for me I scheduled an oil change online. I came in the next day at 9 am (my appointment time) and I had to tell the person running the counter all the info I already submitted online. Then the person behind the counter told me "They will get to it 'whenever'". I waited 2 hours in their lobby area. They still had my car outside waiting for an open bay. "Whenever" = 2 hours + at this location. I gave up waiting and asked for my keys. I drove over to Jiffy Lube. After about 10 minutes of waiting and giving my info, my car is actually in their bay being worked on! Amazing! If Goodyear told me "Our mechanics are currently busy with other jobs, it might take 2 hours or more before we can work on your car." I would have thanked them and went elsewhere instead of waiting. I will never come back to this location. read more

Do not set foot in this place unless you enjoy paying premium prices for grade-A incompetence. I had to replace my fuel pump three times in four weeks, and these clowns somehow still managed to misdiagnose the issue every single time. They charged $225 for a "diagnostic" that amounted to nothing more than checking fluid levels and glancing at a tire-pressure readout -- the automotive equivalent of taking a pulse and declaring someone healthy while their leg is missing. Meanwhile, McCully Auto Union charges less ($180) and actually performs a real diagnostic the kind where a mechanic uses tools and a brain instead of blind guesswork and crossed fingers. Goodyear's so-called "diagnostic" never once addressed the actual cause of the repeated pump failures. After the third fuel pump died, I insisted they redo their diagnostic. Instead of acknowledging their own idiocracy, they doubled down, performed the exact same useless non-analysis, and then charged again despite the fact that their original incompetence directly caused the second and third failures. There is a reason their reviews are abysmal. They have no understanding of what they're doing, no interest in learning, and absolutely no shame in charging full price for half-assed work and wrong answers. STEER CLEAR!!! Unless you want to fund their ongoing crusade to remain catastrophically, irredeemably incompetent. read more

I've been here a couple times. The representative not very friendly. The first time I went there I asked if I could get the better oil change oil change, and was told I couldnt and that they didn't carry a 5w oil full synthetic oil as they manufacturer recommended 0w full synthetic. I said ok, and had my oil changed. I returned a couple months later with my girlfriendds car, and forgot what the same representative told me the last time, and was told rudely. "I told you last time, you can't use 5w in newer cars last time!" I replied "ok, sorry I forgot " He also added," You can go to Midas, and pay almost $200 for oil oil change!" I didn't say anything after that. After I signed the contract, he put the tire lug key in the bag, and THREW it behind him After picking up the car and leaving a few days later my girlfriendds car ac was blowing hot air After checking saw that there is no refrigerant, and looks like there may be a leak now I have to recharge, and may have to take it to mechanic to have it checked for leak. I've had several Hondas, and never had an issue with ac when my car had less than 50 k miles. I don't think I will be returning to Goodyear again read more

I set up an appointment online to get tires installed today While setting up the appointment it let me put the tires I wanted in my cart and set up the appointment, I even called the store to add alignment to my appointment and the guy that answered the phone said he found the appointment and added the alignment. Then I go there with my wheels in my car only to be told that they do not have the tires in stock and the girl tells me did you check if the tires were in stock, I told her the website did not say that it was not in stock. Are you kidding me at no time did anyone call or tell me that the tires were not in stock. What a waste of time and gas. That is terrible read more

I've been to this location a few times before and always found them to be quick and informative and yesterday was no different. During a torrential downpour, an employee saw me waiting and immediately asked if I was waiting to get my car. He saw that it was double parked in the middle of the lot and quickly moved other cars out of the way and proceeded to help me navigate the congested parking lot...all of this in a torrential downpour with no complaints or umbrella. Called for over 2 hours before they closed to schedule an oil change but no one answered the phone. Kept calling for over 90 minutes. I would call back every 10-15 minutes. Also left messages but no one returned my phone call. Also called different locations with the same results. One location's message was that they were closed even though the web site said they was open for another 30 minutes. read more

We just came back from a month long trip and one of the first things I did was add air to my tires. I drove my vehicle around and no issues. Due to the jet lag, I was up very early and an alert stating that one of my tires had low tire pressure popped up on my phone. How could that be since I just added air to the tires? Sure enough, there was a shiny screw in my tire. Tesla wasn't able to schedule the vehicle till the next day so I looked up Goodyear Auto Service because Lyn L raved about them after she ran over a nail not too long ago. They opened at 8am so I had to wait a few hours before I could call them to see if I could bring my vehicle in. The quote they provided me over the phone was shocking as I was expecting the price to be somewhat close to Tesla's quote but it was significantly less. I'm glad I called because I was told that they didn't have the special pucks for Tesla vehicles and told me that I needed to provide them in order for them work on the vehicle. Lyn L was gracious enough to let me borrow hers since I didn't have the pucks. Once I had the pucks, I added air to the tire and drove to Goodyear. Fortunately there was a couple open stalls on their lot so I took one to park my car then proceeded to the cashiers office. Cheenie was the cashier that assisted me and she was efficient. She told me it won't be done right away but will call me once it was completed. I took care of the paperwork with her and left. With how many cars they had, I wasn't expecting my car back till the afternoon but they called me back in less than an hour! The guys in the bay that worked on my car also put back my lug nut covers along with the valve stem cover without me asking. That's great initiative as they were left in the cup holder. Overall, this was a great experience and they are very deserving of 5 stars. I will definitely bring my car back for future tire issues. Thanks again, Lyn L! read more

I made an appointment at 12pm for a tire repair. The estimated wait time when I got there was 3 hours. I had to take time off of work because I had to wait 3 hours for my tire repaired (something I thought would take 20-30 minutes). I don't understand why they take appointments if I have to wait that long anyway. I should've just walked in. After 3 hours, they deemed my tire to be patchable. I drive it home and a couple hours later my tire is flat again. The patch failed. Now I have to take time out of my day (again) to get the tire fully replaced. Thanks. read more

I have to start off by commending Lem for having such great customer service. I came in due to a puncture and called ahead to check on their wait time. He was great on the phone, very courteous and provided an estimated work time. But more importantly, he provided great/professional service in each interaction and when some of his coworkers tried to pull him to do something else, advised that he'd complete my check-in before he addressed their issue. I personally hate coming into these types of shops because I often deal with grouchy personnel. I get it, they're swamped with work that everyone wants done immediately and I'm sure deal with unruly customers. I've dealt with that at other tire shops and even this same shop previously. But Lem was great and deserves to be commended for it as anyone working with customers should be reminded that each interaction is important. read more

Online reservation system broken I usually go to the other tire service shop (ends with stone) but thought I'd give the Waialae location a try to do my alignment since it's closer and the fact I got new Goodyear tires. Tried the online reservation system and booked a time. I got email confirmation stating that the location will contact me within 24 hours but nobody called to confirm. I guess you have to call the location if you want to make an appointment but then why bother to even have the online reservation system? Just to mention the online reservation for the other tire service shop works with no problems. read more

I just went t to the Kaimuki location to get help getting a nail out of my tire. The technician told me to go inside to ask for help. The clerk told me to leave my car there. So, I asked him how long it would take, because I need to pick up my son from school in a hour. He laughed at me and said "come back next week." He also said "they were busy all this week." He never told me any prices or how ling it would take to fix my tire. Very rude and condescending service. They seemed cocky and don't care about good customer service. I will never return to this location. Where is the Manager??? They need to be retrained in customer service. All the one star reviews were correct!!! read more

Goodyear is an absolute travesty. We went in for the cheap oil change and left with $2000 power steering leak. The paperwork even shows that they inspected for power steering leaks and there wasn't one. The next day there was a puddle under the car. The prop that holds the hood up broke off in the process of the oil change, and we didn't realize until we cleaned the car out to sell it that the technician just hid the prop in the trunk under all of our beach stuff!!! I had a bolt in my tire. Stopped by an hour before closing. Asked one of the employees if they can help me out and said they are closing. Very disappointing. Change your closing time to an hour earlier if you're going to turn away customers. What's more disappointing is that they only had one vehicle in the shop and non in the lot. read more

And calling them forget about it, they won't answer and if you leave a message they won't return call. Took my car in because the tire pressure light came on. Was told the next appointment is a month away...seriously dude you want me to drive around with low tire pressure for a month?! They wouldn't even take 5 minutes to look at my tires to check if there were nails inside. Went to Salt Lake (Stadium Mall) location and they were fantastic. Took me as a walk in and willing to help. I was panicked as it was 6pm and I knew not much would be open and I was loosing air pressure. I called and called but no answer so I took a chance and drive over. Closed at 4pm. Why???? Very busy location with super small/ tight parking area. I felt like I might need to go to the body shop after getting the tires fixed. The day I went 90% of the customers have nails on their tire. Did someone just sprinkle a bunch of nails on the road? The entire day was behind the schedule and I waited over 3 hours for the 30 mins nail fix. Because of Covid, they rolled the windows down. Unfortunately, we encountered heavy downpour so all my seats and floor were wet and they did not acknowledge any of it. I might try another service station next time. read more

I don't tend to pay much attention to my tires. (My former husband and boyfriends used to do that for me!) But one day I thought they might need to be rotated or replaced. So I went to Goodyear, which is the closest tire place to where I live. I asked them to advise me. The guy eyeballed my tires and said they needed to be replaced. He gave me an estimate for $918, including 4 new tires, tire installation, and wheel alignment. I may be old, but I'm not stupid, and that seemed too much. So I checked with Lex Brodie's. The guy there actually measured the tread and told me that only two of the tires needed replacement. He said I didn't necessarily need wheel alignment just because I was replacing tires. To make a long story short, I ended up paying less than $300 at Lex Brodie's. The service was friendly and good. I will go there in the future for any tire needs I have, and I will avoid Goodyear like the plague! read more

They took me last minute when other shops said they were booked. I initially wanted to check my alternator being my car died in me the day before. They checked it and since I was there asked if they could do my brakes. The next day the car was making a loud screeching sound. They took the car in same day found there was a problem with the parking brake and fixed it. They even stayed late so that I would get the car back that day. Priced was fair, service was great, and they were very detailed when explaining their findings. read more

I showed up for my 8:00 appointment this morning to resolve an A/C issue; it was blowing warm air. I get a call 2.5 hrs later saying my car is ready for pick-up. No issues at check out; I pay my $83 and I'm on my way, or so I thought. I decided to let my car and A/C run for 5 minutes to make sure that it was cold. After 5 minutes the A/C was still blowing warm, so I went back into the store to see if anyone had actually tested it before calling me and saying it was done. The manager (I think) took a look at their paperwork and discovered that they did not have the Freon that my car uses so they couldn't resolve my issue. I then asked him why would a service rep charge me for the $83 and not mention that nothing had been done. He stated that he didn't know why that happened but would speak with the service rep. He was really cool about it and refunded my money. I understand that mistakes do happen, but what a waste of everyone's time. It also begs the question of how often does this happen at all repair shops. Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and just go to the Ford dealership. Five star rating for the Manager's (I think) professionalism and customer service. read more

Please do not make an online appointment for Goodyear Kaimuki; they will tell you they do not see your appointment in their system, even though you show them your confirmation e-mail, and they may not even work on your vehicle as well. Here is my experience: I scheduled an online appointment for 8:00 a.m. for an oil change and tire rotation. I got there before 8:00 a.m. and was the first in line. When I went to check in for my appointment, the guy said he could not find my information, and I was number 4 for an 8:00 a.m. appointment and would have to wait, even though I was the first one to check-in. He says they were booked for the day, even though I showed him my online confirmation, and says he cannot squeeze me in, but I could leave my car there, and if they have time, they would work on it and call me at 5:00 p.m. to let me know if they were able to work on it. What a joke! I scheduled an appointment online and had a confirmation e-mail, and then I got there for him to tell me that they could not work on my car because they are no available appointments for the day. What is the point of having online appointments if it does not show up in the computer system in the store? I called and went to the Salt Lake Goodyear location right after the Kaimuki location refused to work on my car that day. The Salt Lake location was willing to take me in as a walk-in, and they were quick and got everything I needed done. read more
