The best customer service ever! I always go for my oil changes there, couple of weeks ago, I went to the Wahiawa location and the young lady who helped me, was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make my oil change fast, checked my whole car out for any issues, filled up my tire pressure without me asking! She was the best! All the staff there are really accommodating and nice! If you're looking for affordable, quick drive through oil change experience where you don't even have to step out if your car, this is the place I highly recommend! Safety check not recommended!! It took THREE FULL HOURS from being 1 car length behind the "Safety Inspection" sign at the entrance to finishing my safety check (they don't take appointments). There is no sign or person indicating anything about the wait time at any point, and once you get past the entrance, you're trapped in the line with no way to exit for at least an hour. From the entrance, you can't see the whole line or tell how many cars ahead of you are waiting for inspections - no way to guess how long the wait might be if you haven't done it before. The staff person who did my inspection was not very friendly, and when I said "I really wish you'd put up a sign that says it's a 3 hour wait" (without a rude or angry tone, just weary), he ignored me and just told me how much I owed him. No hint of kindness or apology for the insane wait time. I wish I had read the reviews, because this seems to have been an issue here for at least a year. A simple sign to set expectations or even just kind words from the staff could've mitigated the horrible experience. read more

Took me 2 hours to get an oil change and there were only 2 cars in front of me . The two younger workers moved really slow and were not efficient. They seems very inexperienced and ill have to check my oil when i get home if they even did it . I would go elsewhere if all you have to do is oil change. They don't care you've been there for 2-3hrs and they look at you and still move slow . read more

Hilarious and friendly service, using charm, wit and aloha to make it a great experience. I worked a 1/2 day and really needed to get my oil changed, so I pulled in. They have two lines, one for oil changes and one for safety checks. The safety check line was long and they blocked that final car, making it the last... I could not see how long my wait would be, so I just sat and listened to music and did a little work on my phone. (Some 1/2 day but we are all guilty of that.) They have a small shop and gas station here, so if I had wanted I could have run in to grab something to eat or drink but Incase ok. I waited an hour and finally it was my my turn. All of the attendants were friendly throughout the process, guiding vehicles where to go, ensuring safety. It is roomy behind the station which you can't see from the road. When it was my turn, I was heckled a bit. This type of interaction is pretty fun. I don't know what a base oil change costs here, but I have used this company off and on for years when I don't make appointments at the dealership. Anyway, the upsell of items starts flowing, and I am not afraid to ask how much something will cost, or say no. When something makes sense, I will buy it. What I liked was the interaction, and explanation. He showed me the filters and one definitely did not need to be changed, he was honest, while one did. I paid for that for sure. Never wrote a review for an oil change before! Came on a Wednesday around lunchtime and only had to wait for a couple cars to finish. LOVE the drive through option, baby was able to sleep through the whole thing Mahalo nui loa to the Manager Jaren and his crew! There were a couple new guys training but I was impressed at how they still explained and educated me about my vehicle and recommendations for service and maintenance. Jaren took extra time to give me tips and make sure I understood everything. There were a couple things I needed done and never even realized. Best service ever! I ran over something on the Moanalua Freeway by Halawa coming down from Red Hill. I immediately felt one of my tires give out and my tire pressure light went on. I had my kids with me, so I was definitely panicking. Fortunately, I could still maneuver the car long enough to get out of there and into Aiea. They were closing up, but were gracious enough to help me with my spare. I didn't have a jack, so I would have been in trouble if they didn't bail me out. I will always appreciate what they did. These guys were AWESOME; helpful and funny as well. I appreciated the relaxed yet still professional vibe they maintained. This is the kind of thing where you have to get there early and just sit in line in your car and wait for them to open. Definitely not ideal but trust me if you don't you'll be out there what will seem like forever. Now this 5 star review is coming from someone whose car they initially failed (due to the break light being covered with tint) but I won't hold it against them because I know they were just doing their job and despite my eventual reaction which to be fully transparent was crying in my car after I left LOL They suggested I call around and find a place to replace my tint with one that had a cut out before I could pass and I got quotes over $250 for the replacement (which keep in mind I was already thousands deep because I had to ship this car, and bring all the tags over to the state, etc) either way out of it good things came and I realized that I could see better out of my back window without the tint shout out again to Ohana Tinting on Dillingham for taking care of this for me and providing wonderful service. Special shout out to these employees at Oil Changers Imi - funny guy, with lots of personality, made the experience lighter and less intense. I have been a dedicated patron of oil changers in Aiea, but my last review was over three years ago. Unfortunately, my experience today while filling up gas did not reach my expectations. I arrived at the gas station on May 23, 2025 at 9:13 AM. I began to fill gas and after 3 gallons of gas, the pump became inoperable. I approached the anteroom only to discover that the door was locked, and the clerk was sitting behind the counter. I explained that the pump the pump became inoperable. The looked at the computer screen, which did not indicate an anomaly. I asked the clerk what I should do after reiterating the problem. Once again, the clerk said that the computer did not indicate a problem, while insinuating that I was incorrect l. So I asked what the clerk recommended. Clerk said, "try another pumping station." However, when I return to the pump, it began to work again. Subsequently it abruptly stopped yet again. I decided to just leave with the tank not completely full. Two suggestions for the gas attendant clerk: When a customer approaches with a problem, always give the customers the benefit of the doubt, regardless of what the computer screen is indicating. My low tire pressure sensor came on, so I stopped by Oil Changers. Even though they were busy, the cashier was friendly and let me know I could pull up front and speak with a technician. Jaren was kind enough to take a moment to fill my tires with air. Today is regarding their safety check. I was there early as I could make it which was 6:15am. We were 3rd in line which was already a great day. But nope, right when 7:00am... the worker came out and said that inspector was not in. So they waited till they opened to tell us. The line was up the road. The decency of humanity! Could have they told us earlier? Or just put a sign that no inspector today? Could have told the first person in line that there was no inspections today instead of waiting till they literally have line piled up. It takes a minute to come out...... they were probably waiting till they clock in. They could have told the cashier who's on the clock to put a sign????? Took my 2021 Sierra here to get oil change and they were super quick. I asked about changing my transmission fluid the guy checked under my truck and said it has been changed along with the diff fluid, it had a date both when it was changed, super honest and reliable service. Honestly showed up here for the good reviews but turns out I came out here with false presumptions. I've been waiting in line for a safety check for over 1 hours and there are 5 cars in front of me, 1 left. It's 8/1/24 at 2:15 and this is ridiculously long. Edit: It's 4:15 and there is 1 car in front of me. I also see why it's taking FOREVER. Your workers are split between oil changes and safety checks. It would be much faster if you had one person doing one thing at a time. I don't see anyone being helped. I get that your other services are priority but if you can't have a single car go through an inspection, why even do them at all? I'm in the aviation industry and not even my preflight inspections take this long! What does that tell you? Don't come here for a safety inspection there is 0 value. Edit: To the manager, I've seen your responses to other 1 star reviews and it's literally just copy & pasting. "We're sorry for the inconvenience" blah blah blah, well go and fix the problem instead of not doing anything about it. If you want change, you can't sit back and do nothing, you should know. Reliable for Vehicle Safety Inspection, but it takes a looooooong time. First I waited in line for 2.5 hours. Then when it was my turn to be inspected, it took 27 minutes from the time I pulled into the inspection bay till the time I reversed out of there. My vehicle is a 2018 Honda CRV with no issues and I had all of my documents (registration and insurance) ready and up to date. I was told to wait around the corner on a bench and someone would call me back. After 20 minutes went by I was like WTF is taking so long? When I poked my head around the corner, the guy had my hood popped open and he was looking at my engine. Not sure why this was being looked at for a safety check, but whatever. I don't think a safety check should take longer than 15 minutes. read more

I absolutely love coming to this location of Oil Changers! I come here for all safety checks, and oil changes. Recently, I came for a safety check on my car, needed the windshield wipers changed to do so. Got there at 6:45am, they open at 7am, and there were already 5 cars in line! So, I waited about an hour, but that's okay. After my safety check, I reversed out and got in line for an oil change. There was 1 car ahead of me, so the wait was short. The staff is super friendly and helpful, great service, and I love that they are very transparent with evertlything they're doing. Some auto places take advantage of women that are by themselves because most don't know much about their cars. But I appreciate their sincerity and honesty here. I've had people try to take advantage because I'm a female, not realizing that I have auto mechanics in my family and I check everything over with them. Let me say jiffy is not always the best results as when you take the moment to do things right the outcome usually is outstanding. Pandemic situations did make us shift in so many ways last year as my safety approached I seriously didn't know where to go without making a appointment which is difficult for me as I don't have a set day off and they usually have on person who does it and certain times as well. Not this location but I did get one done in a hearbeat and was just relieved to get it done so they already got my vote for any future services. Today...yup been counting on my car for everything but have neglected it so much that I had to take it for it's due oil changer....here I am! I did remember passing this location on many occasions and is the closest for me and wanted to visit them. Easy access heading west right off the freeway on the Stadium exit you just head straight down and it will be on your right on the ground floor with 76 gas right in front next to Aiea Shopping Center. Driving up you go through to the back and wait to be called forward you just need to follow signs for oil change or safety check. As it's mine they ask the usual questions of type of oil and do a thorough check of your lights front and back and was told that my third light is going out and one of my tire was extremely low on air so I need to monitor them to make sure my tire doesn't have a nail or whatever may be wrong with it. I asked to have my filter check as well which she did an it was fine but did request to turn on and rev my engine for a check and I'm totally clueless but am more than willing to check anything that my need my attention as my safety check is due in a couple of months...you know where I'm going for that. All done while you remain in your car, though there is a $5 off full service oil change with your Yelp Check in, I already got a discount so I will save this deal for another time. Hands down the most professional, friendly staff that does it best and get you on your way fast I got more information about my car than I'd ever thought and am so so grateful!! Oil changer at this location ( Aiea ) have been my go-to since I started driving. They are very reliable and they get the job done quick in and out. If you do decide to come on the weekends, they can seriously get backed up. I suggest coming on a weekday or right when they open. Cassandra and Bryan are excellent. They don't take appointments. So if you are going for a safety inspection expect to wait in your car for 2hrs. No shade, no estimate on wait and no one available for any updates. We've been going here for pur safety checks past couple years since my previous "go to" closed shop. Their mechanics have always been friendly and have positive attitudes. The one who stands out the most because she's done most of our checks is Kaylha (spelling?). Something I learned on why the wait is so long for a safety check. A couple years back, my previous shop had told me when the State of Hawaii went to the "iPad" system he was doing safety checks at his normal pace. The State had questioned how he's able to finish so many in a day (or week or month). State was probably thinking he was faking/"pencil whipping" his checks. I know he doesn't, because he's turned me away on a bad light bulb and even told me once I'd need to get new tires before the next years safety or I might not pass. Apparently, the State has a certain time expectation to complete a safety check, even though it doesn't take that long. Now, is this still the case today? I don't know, but I've been patient ever since I heard this. read more

Since Oil Changers came to the Island, I've used them 2 times a year for oil changes and every year for my Safety Inspection. I called this morning to make sure they were doing inspections as I know not every Oil Changers does inspections every day. The woman who answered the phone confirmed that they would be doing inspections until 3 pm. At 130 I drove the 30 minutes from my home. Upon arriving I was told by a mechanic that they were not doing Safety Inspections. When I explained that I made the trip because I called first, the mechanic's reply was "the boss came in and shut it down because we are short staffed". No apology. No alternatives. I parked and went into the cashier and told her that I had traveled 30 minutes after calling earlier in the day and asked if I could make an appointment. She coldly replied "service is first come first serve". (Again - no apology). Realizing she wasn't going to help I asked for the manager's name and number so I could follow up with my concern. She gave me a name but wouldn't give me contact information - then said defensively "I don't work for Oil Changers". I'm assuming she said this because this location is paired up with a Shell Station, however, she was wearing a "OIL CHANGERS" polo shirt uniform, so this statement was laughable. So I left. Oil changers feels like going to my dad for help with my car honestly. I initially went here just for oil changes but every time I visit they fo the extra mile by filling up the air in my tires too or checking to see what the lights mean that come up on my dash. Even printing out informational sheets and showing me videos to learn about what's going on. Christian is always so friendly and patient every visit & Emi and Bryan were so much help too.
