Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I asked for the manager and the person who I felt was the problem (Mr Joo) stated that he was the manager! This shop doesn't care about customer service at all. Save the hours in your day and go elsewhere. Manager has no concept of online pricing vs what is quoted. When you make an appointment online and submit personal and car info, the manager still asks for it manually and then continues to make errors. Manager struggles with computer system. Said Manager never EVER picks up the phone - just immediately says "hold please" and immediplaces all incoming calls on hold even when he has the capacity to take the call. Zero customer service ! I asked for oil change and brake inspection and was not able to get an answer if my car would get serviced after waiting 3+ hours. I went back to the service center to ask and was told if I wasn't called yet that he didn't know (he could not go ask the mechanics?). I wasn't even confident he had my correct cell number in order to receive a call. He struggled getting my personal information into the computer (and I have been there several times before. I will never return to this service center when in the past I praised their customer service. Get rid of this self claimed manager. I was not the only person who left unhappy in my 1 day at the service center ! Go elsewhere and don't waste your valuable time! I visit this location at least twice a year for my oil change, tire rotation/alignment and other checks. I usually call for an appointment. Since this location is close to some good eateries I just tell them I'll drop off my car and will come back after they call that it's done. The past year, their hours changed a little and appointments were more necessary to help them plan out their day because of the restrictions/safety, but when I somehow picked up a nail driving around they were nice enough to take my car. The office/check in guys are always nice. The last time I took my car in for them to just check my tires...it's been a while since I had to buy new tires and was a little worried that I needed new ones...they checked the system first and reassured me that my tires should still be very good, but of course they'll have someone check all four for me. I buy my tires here as well, so a quick check in the computer and they have all the information. I always purchase the alignment package when I get new tires to ensure the tires get aligned at least once a year. read more

After waiting patiently in line for almost 15 minutes, getting skipped over twice by people in line behind me, and multiple times by people on the phone, they guy with the cocaine pinky nail finally gave me a quote of almost $300 for 1 lunch wagon tire. Horrible service and horrible prices. I will not be back, even if the location is convenient. Spend the time to do your research because these guys will most definitely try to take advantage of you. Awesome awesome service! Highly recommend this place if you're looking to replace your tires or any other service this business provides. Huge shout out to Ryan! This guy has been amazing with helping me out. Needed to replace all four of my tires due to wear and tear. Long story short: The tires I needed wasn't in house, so Ryan pulled some strings to have them available the next day; otherwise I would have had to wait a week to change my tires. Come to find out I gave Ryan the wrong tire size :( Poor guy went through all the trouble, but he was so sweet and reassured me my mistake was an honest one. Had to get our Kia Souls oil changed & a service check. I initially used the chat feature to set up an appointment with Kia but they never responded. I was able to make the appointment online with Goodyear Kaimuki at 10am. Parking is tight but we were able to find one so my guess is to make your appointment as early as possible. Besides being close to where we live this Kaimuki location has its perks being close to shops. We hopped on the bus to have breakfast while we waited and later did some shopping at City Mill. Avoid this location! I brought my Toyota Tacoma in for a oil change and tire rotation. First of all it took 3 hours when they said it would take 45 minutes. And when it was finally done, I started to drive away and I noticed that my tires were completely off balance. So I drove it straight back and told them they didn't balance my tires. So I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to do that. A few days later I heard something in my engine bay so I took a look and there was a Dr. Pepper plastic bottle in my engine bay... for sure the guy working on my truck was drinking it and left it in my engine bay. (Happened 8/23) The woman on the phone was very helpful & nice. My A/C was blowing hot air & she confirmed it sounded like it just needed the liquid & was an easy fix. Took my info down & made an appointment. I show up to my appoint the man working the front desk was SO RUDE & acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Made me feel so stupid. Said I would need to leave my car over night until the next morning to see because he didn't know how long it would take to see what was wrong, after everyone else I spoke to said it just needed the liquid . Left because he was so condescending & rude, stopped at the Autozone next door, purchased the liquid & someone in the parking lot was able to help me apply it & just like that within 5 mins my air was fixed. read more

I took my personal vehicle in today to get some work done on it. Had the following done on my car - Had the manual transmission flushed out, & refilled with synthetic transmission oil. Purchased two new performance tires. Had my brakes checked on the car - had the front brake pads replaced with ceramic brake pads, and also had the rotors resurfaced. Had the brake line flushed out, & replaced with Dot 4 synthetic brake oil. All this work done on a timely fashion........took my car in early this morning, got my car back by 2:30 PM. Great service at a reasonable price! Car drives like a dream now! Who says you need to take your car back to the manufacturer to do the work? Had an appointment to get my disabled car towed to Goodyear Waialae at 4pm. Tow truck was an hour late and got to Goodyear at about 530pm.....which was half hour past closing time. Cheenie was still in the office finishing up when she see saw me get out and kindly told me that she will promptly help me with the paperwork. This "going beyond" attitude allowed the technicians to begin working on my car first thing in the next morning. It saved me one day because if Cheenie didn't put in my the paperwork at the time she did, I would have had to come back the next day after work to start the paperwork and then the technicians wouldn't be able to start work on my car until late afternoon. Probably wouldn't get my car until Wednesday. Because of Cheenie, I got my car back on Tuesday. Guy Inoue was my Technician and was super cool in explaining what the issues were. He even took a few questions from me after I went to pick up my car. 1st rate customer service and first rate car service all around. Will definitely come back for future car needs. read more

Looking to get an estimate for some work from Goodyear Auto Service on Waialae Ave. I set up an appt online - wished they could have told me the cost for the diagnostic. But that wasn't the issue as most garages charge for diagnostics. So I went in per my appt time expecting to be busy as it's in a prime location. But what angered me most was the rude mechanic. I understand that customers can be rude. So I try and go with a positive attitude as I know the mechanics have a tough job and long day. But at the same time, I wasn't expecting the verbal abuse from the mechanic for simply directing where I should temporarily park (again, busy given the prime location). I've taken my cars to Goodyear Waialae in the past with mediocre service. After seeing me and seeing my car, he's not touching my car. I'm disappointed. Brake fluid flush and wheel alignment. Been going to the Kaimuki location for about 20 years. Always quality work. Prices are very competitive, especially if using the 3 year alignment package. Location is very convenient and staff is very professional. Only major downside is the parking at times, can be very congested. Suggest that a discount on their next service is given to people who wait for (or pick up within 30 minutes) their vehicles as an incentive to clear their vehicles off the lot as soon as their cars are ready. read more

Scam alert! Take your car literally anywhere but this place. Took my tire here for a repair because I had a nail in it and it was almost flat. They returned my car to me and said there was no hole in the tire. They filled it with air and charged me nothing. The next day my flat tire sensor goes off again for the same tire. I return it to them and they tell me my tire stem is broken and to replace it with the sensor it will be over $60. I annoyingly pay it knowing that THEY most likely broke it as I had not touched the tire myself. The following day.... Low tire sensor again for the same tire. I take it to my regular mechanic who patches the simple hole from the nail. Either the guys at Goodyear are completely incompetent so they're scammers. Arrive at 7:45am mentioned the 8:00am online appointment was made and was told there are 3 to 4 cars ahead of me for wheel alignment that called in. Brought the wife did a test ride and drove on H1 vehicle drives straight however steering wheel is turned slightly right when going straight. Now back here and they are doing it again. They did it a second time right away greatly appreciated. However after the second test it drives straight no drift but the steering wheel is off center. Offered to do a one block ride along but they declined. At this point requested my payment be returned as it is not beneficial for the store or myself. It is now 10:00am. Requested I bring the vehicle Saturday morning first thing and it would be done correctly. Question. Should I take it back or just go somewhere else and pay again? The vehicle drove straight before and has great tire wear. The reason for the alignment is all new front suspension was installed. I damaged a Goodyear Eagle Sport tire with less than 14,000 miles on it; that I had purchased at this store a few years ago = the tire snagged against a coral rock curb and a deep gouge occurred - so deep that the steel belt was exposed. I purchased a replacement on the Goodyear Tire website and was offered a "next day" appointment with a "waiting room" option,to my delight! I arrived at the shop and parked (they have more than a dozen customer parking spots), went inside and the new manager; Mr. Garrett, was busy with a customer so a salesperson; Ms. Cheenie Marie, checked my confirmation number and she said: "It should be done in an hour." - another perk! 43 minutes later, she called me to the counter, handed me the repair confirmation, my wheel locks socket and keys. Hyo; a tire installer there, is very professional = he did what a tire installer should do (but most do not in both Hawaii and California) with a freshly installed tire = he matched the tire pressure with the opposing tire. Like the previous visit in 2018, this was a pleasant customer experience as they literally got me in-and-out, which was a huge surprise as every lift was occupied and the waiting room had only 1 empty chair! read more

Made an appointment well in advance only to be told not only do they not have my tires in stock but that they wouldn't install them anyway because they are too "soft" for my vehicle. The tires in question are the tires that come on all 2019 WRX from the dealership. Instead they tried to sell me some cheap Goodyear brand tires. Complete waste of time. Will tell everyone who will listen not to give any Goodyear store business. Went twice for tire repair. One time they could fix it, the other they weren't able to. Since they sell tires it was really convenient. Since no place can help immediately, the woman on the phone helped me to understand my options with a slow leak were until my tire could be looked at. Both times they were very quick and helpful. I have been a loyal client of this location for nearly 20 years. I had an uncle that worked in a key position within the Corporate area and always did my business with these guys because of that. It seems with the changeover in counter people due to retirement the desire to serve people has gone downhill. I put four brand new tires on my car and the car would run rough (from the tire area) and have a funny smell right after the installation. I thought it was just the new tires breaking in but after a couple months I went back in to ask them just to put it on the rack and check it because it never went away. I felt like the counter person was trying to find reasons why I was trying to bother him rather than figure out what was going on with my new tires. He promised to drive it to see what he felt, he called me after a couple of hours and said he ran the engine and didn't smell anything or see anything wrong! What...this is a tire shop right? He never put it on the rack and checked the tires but said he did a road test and it felt "smooth". As I drove it for a short ride home the issure returned. A slight thud and a unique "carpet burning smell". I looked on youtube and fairly knowledgable guy said it was probably a brake situation. It turned out to be the breaks as I took it to a regular mechanic and he diagnosed it right away. It says on their website that they do brakes but I would say no way to that. They don't really seem like they do service much less brakes. If you wanna buy and change your tires then they are okay but anything else I would take somewhere else. I also will be going somewhere else where the service is better. One thing that I noticed is that they are very short handed with workers in the garage. Probably an indication of how the guys up front treat the guys in the garage. Disappointing because this is not how Good Year Kaimuki used to be. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I have gotten a low air message on my dashboard several times for my tires. Twice I've driven up to good year and they have taken care of it for me on the spot even though they are incredibly busy. They didn't charge me anything, These are some honest folks. If you need anything to do with tires this is the place. It's not easy to reach them by phone, you might as well just drive up. You can schedule service online too. But you can't get any kind of is kind of estimate unless you go in. Turned out manager from hell is no longer there and customer service improved manyfold. Came in for tire replacements and oil change. Service was normal but they went above and beyond by solving my spare tire problem where the valve stem had exploded. They offered to drill the valve stem hole bigger and put in a new stem. Even better i happened to have another spare tire with the same issue in my trunk, and they fixed both for me, saving me from having to order two new replacement donuts, which are hard to come by. Called to make and appointment for two front tires, got one first thing the next business day. I showed up a little late, no problem for them. Asked for an alignment check and he said they can check it and if off spec. adjust for a reasonable price. He estimated 2 hours and I walked home. Almost exactly two hours later, I get a call to pick it up with tires on and alignment done. I took it right up to the H1 for a test and it was like a new car! Forget Costco, three hours plus with and appointment, just to rotate and keep the warranty alive. This is way better! read more

First impression was not good for this place, however I'm glad I keep my online order and went through with the purchase. I purchased tires online last week at Goodyear.com, and was able to book an appointment as well at the Kaimuki location. Got the confirmation email, thought I was all good to go. I called yesterday just to be sure (I had a hunch that I should make this "double-check" call for some reason) and was a little put off by the person who answered the phone. Blame it on the system, but he did not see my appointment at all! He was also a little condescending, but it didn't bother me because I know how auto shops can be. Anyways, he asked me to come in at 9 AM, even though I was able to book an 8 AM appointment on Goodyear.com. Second impression was much better. I came in at 9 AM, was able to be quickly serviced and even laughed at a couple of jokes by the same person who gave me the not so good initial impression yesterday. Thanks for helping me with getting the new tires. They are much, much better than the OEM Bridgestones. I'll come here again when I need new tires, and will make sure to make that "double-check" call as well. read more
