Pretty familiar with Bait so I knew that I we had to stop in here for a little. I think there might be parking in the back but we settled for street parking which was tough. The store wasn't the biggest or the busiest but the employees were pretty friendly. They have a decent sized selection here, nothing out of the ordinary. I was really here for location specific stuff so I bought a Honolulu Bait tee, a Harbor Vintage collab tee, and a Gremlins Bait tee. Definitely worth stopping by if you're a fan of the brand of if you're looking for some decent shoes. read more

My friends and I tried visiting here two days in a row. We're from out of town and wanted to do a little shopping here. The first day they closed an hour earlier than the hours listed online. We came back the next day with plenty of time before their listed closing hour. Upon our arrival, there was a note that said "be back in 20 minutes". We waited for over 30 minutes and no one returned. Lastly, their phone doesn't work. Big let down since it was my first time visiting a BAIT store. read more

Yeah came here Saturday and it closed a whole hour early. Came again Sunday and it had a brb in 20 min sign. Waited 30+ min and called 10x times, dm then multiple times. Not sure why this is a typical practice of having one worker. I love bait but this one got to be the most frustrating experience since I'm here for 3 days and 2 of those days i am not able to go. This is my first time here. This is a collectible store of many well known Japanese animated characters. But, my friend said we should go after our brunch at Sakura Terrace. So, we did! I was like this kid in a toy store. My friend purchased a nice red Snoopy Giver bag, Snoopy giver coin bag, and baby Grogu (Yoda?). I purchased two t-shirts for my granddaughter, 3 cans of He-Man, some Skull guy, and Robin. If you get gold versions of those characters, it's worth some bucks! But I found a 18" Harry Potter. He and one shirt were 20% off which saved me $45. I can't complain and had a budget in mind which did better than expected. However, I'm not through and intend to return. There are so many collectibles! Clothes were 50-60% off. Billionaires brand clothes were on sale too! Come on down...check it out! Ciao!!! read more

First of all when we got there it said on the door it was closed until 3:50 even though we were there when it was supposed to be open?! It also said it was open on yelp! But 2 minutes later he opens the door so we enter and I ask the guy if they have any Kaws and he is like "yeah! We have it in the back." But after he says that he just zones out for 10 minutes so I ask him again, do you have kaws? And this time he says "Whats Kaws?" So I am thinking in my head this guy is crazy because he just said he knew what it is and now he doesn'st?! So then two minutes later he says that they are out of kaws and will have it next year!Overall they had fairly priced bape and good prices for Be@rbricks. But thats not what I was looking for. read more

Amazing service each time I come in the store, everyone is so friendly and easy going to talk to especially if you have questions. Although not a lot shoe selection, they still do have hot drops each month. One of the more lowkey streetwear stores on island. Just wished more people knew about this place so that they can get the foot traffic they deserve. Not sure what that guy Patrick is talking about tbh lol. read more

Bait is a US based retailer that originated on the west coast with several locations including this Hawaii based location. They focus on urban and pop culture with products that range from street wear, apparel, sneakers, figurines and collectibles that have collaborations with pop Japanese culture as well as urban pop culture in general. This location is a decent size where you're not feeling like you're crammed and you just might find that one item that may always seem to be sold out online! There's really not a lot of inventory tbh, so just keep that in mind and gauge your expectations. There's a lot of cool crossovers and collabs with current and classic mainstreams like Cowboy Bebop and Initial D. The location isn't exactly in an easy location to just access by foot nor can you just walk by randomly and discover. You have to know about it and arrive by vehicle. Collectors and pop culture enthusiasts, if you are in the area, definitely give them a swing by and check it out. read more

I found this location by mistake. It is a bit hidden since the sign face the other direction of the street where we were coming from. However there is a little parking lot in the back and the workers are extremely friendly. I been to the LA and SF locations and all the workers seems not too happy to be there. This location make you feel like you want to buy something. Just too bad all the items I wanted doesn't have my size. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this store! read more

They do a lot of raffles here so it's good to just pop in and try if it's something you want. I think the different brands they bring is good - but I feel like a lot of it is overpriced. Granted, there is barely any other hypebeast stores in Hawaii so this place is definitely one of the few you should check out. read more

Hard to find hypebeast stores in town. They have a great selection of bape, supreme and CDG etc . The prices are not unreasonable but still not cheap. Great place to stop by to take a look instead of buying on StockX. read more

BAIT is the new store where the old piano place used to be which was going out of business for a long time. As far as I can tell BAIT is a clothing store but it also sells toys which kind of have a street Japanese pop flavor along with some kickass Spider-Man figurines and other kinds of high quality model toys. The displays are gorgeous and ultra hip (whoever does the arrangement should work at Ala Moana window display or something, you're talented!) and the actual venue is amazing: floor length windows and lots of light and an overall bright look. The store is also spacious and laid out in a flowing way, and the arrangement of the clothes is very neat and kind of like street meets luxury--for example like five nice t-shirts on a clothing rack instead of 20, that kind of minimal showcasing. It's a neat store with actually great items and nice clothing designs too, but prices can be pretty up there. I am not familiar with all the brands or anything so I don't know what's regular or not. But anyway check this place out just as a cool place with a great aesthetic. I will say though that BAIT is kind of a lone ranger on this street. The other clothing stores are pretty far away and you wouldn't quite expect a store of this caliber to exist in this little bit dingy area. If BAIT existed in Ala Moana I bet it would get lots of traffic just because of how cool of a store it is, and it's kind of got that Asian hip hop bent as I mentioned too. Not really surprised there's not a whole lot of traffic here, yet. I did also have some confusion about what exactly was on sale or just display and kind of like didn't know about the designs, if they were originals or what. I think some kind of description somewhere would help. Other than this, recommend you stop by. read more

Finally got to check out the shop! And I didn't leave empty handed! Happened to pick up many of their in house items and was not dissatisfied with the quality! Very helpful guys and cool vibes, the only downside is the parking which you really have just get lucky on, parking is located in the back and is shared with other businesses in the complex. Also bring money, if you broke it'll pretty much be torture looking at all their dope gear leaving empty handed. read more

I had the chance to pop in this place and they have a good selection of pop/hip hop clothing that has inspiration from Japan and Korea as well. Very chill vibe with a clean layout that makes want to relax and enjoy culture. Lots of unique items you can't easily find in Hawaii. Prices are decent and I did buy a few smaller items. Will probably finding myself coming back here when I need a unique gift for friends. read more
