What is VH07V? It's "ALOHA" upside down! Why is it upside down? Because - when you look down at your heart, you'll see ALOHA there! Isn't that clever?!?!? You should see the videos of the owner, Ed, on Instagram! He's so smart about changing shirts, making the stickers come out of the shirts, placing stickers on caps, changing his hairstyle, etc. You'll see what I mean when you look at his Instagram! It's hilarious! Anyway - the original shop is in Waimalu. For townies, it's a bit "far". Luckily, the company is doing so well that besides donating much of the profits to various organizations and charities, VH07V has a new second location in Kaimuki, Honolulu! It's a quaint, blue, remodeled house. It's very cool! The Grand Opening ended on 5-19-24. There was a drawing for gift cards from various Kaimuki businesses... one free entry blank for each visitor and another entry blank for a purchase of $30 or more. Let's hope we won the $500 Hawaiian Airlines gift card! Service is local-style Aloha Spirit! The staff are efficient, helpful, and personable! They will assist you in finding the right shirt color, design, and size! Maybe you'd rather get a sticker, lanyard, towel, cap, duffle bag, keychain, or tote bag? Just ask and they will find the merchandise! CONGRATULATIONS to Aloha Revolution, Ed, and his staff on this beautiful new location! Welcome to Kaimuki!

Aloha and welcome to Kaimuki... Remembering the days when we spelled with the calculator upside down this is what the creativity of vH07v reminds me of and what a fun logo that's also a fun conversation piece. After finding out they just opened their second location right on 12th Ave you know I had to check them out and it's so easy to find just look for the blue house with their famous Shaka logo and just go inside. Feeling like I need to take off my shoes to browse this shop that cute and cozy though so perfectly organize and easy to find the women's wear item I was gifted a Sakura shirt which I really love though to get a tank for the summer as it's already heating up and found it super easy. The staff is so friendly and helpful with everything I just love that I don't need to drive all the way to PC to shop now as this is a super convenient location. There is a discount for ASB debit card holder of $15 off with $75+ purchase which is a great deal! Spreading the Aloha on Kaimuki right here and I'm so thrilled. Thank you!

Although the location is nearby the business area, it's a nice location. Personable staff and beautiful showroom and lots of selection...

The brand has a long history in street culture, and this location reflects that identity with a clean and minimalist retail space focused entirely on the clothing. The store layout is simple and well organized, which makes it easy to browse through the collections. Racks feature a mix of graphic tees, hoodies, hats, and other staple pieces that the brand is known for. The designs maintain the classic Stüssy style that blends surf, skate, and street culture influences. One thing that makes this location interesting is the connection between the brand and Hawaii's surf culture. Stüssy originally emerged from surf roots in California, and seeing the brand represented in a place like Waikiki feels very fitting. The shop tends to attract both visitors and locals who are interested in streetwear and limited releases. The environment inside is relaxed and focused more on the clothing itself rather than flashy retail design. What stood out to me most was how the store maintains the authenticity of the Stüssy brand while fitting naturally into the Waikiki shopping scene. Overall, Stüssy Honolulu is a great stop if you are into streetwear or want to check out one of the well-known global brands located along Kalākaua Avenue.

The Merrie Monarch vibes must have kicked in and I had to finally pop that cherry. I initially went with my hula family and used that time to soak everything in. The next day I went back alone to purchase a few items I couldn't stop thinking about. Both Nāpali and Hōkūpa'a hyped me up during my visit and all items I tried on was sold on the spot. Countless hugs and mahalo were exchanged during my encounter with them. Again, I had to go in a third time just to mahalo your (business) ʻohana during my trip to Hilo! Just about a week later I figured I would "window shop" again during my lunch break at South Shore Market and I was able to catch up with Hōkūpa'a. Then after some time of being educated about the items at the store I was sold again - resulting in me purchasing even more items than I did in Hilo! More hugs and mahalo were shared that day. I can't thank Nāpali a me Hōkūpa'a and the rest of the Salvage Public ʻohana enough for your continued legendary service every time I visit.

Jamie W and I were waiting for our reservation at The Pig and The Lady (review: https://yelp.to/LhZdZcHz26), so we had time to explore the Kaimuki neighborhood. Beyond the necessary malasada at Pipeline Bakery (review: https://yelp.to/coxyVLI5P8), we were curious about a couple of LGBTQ-owned businesses on Waialae Avenue. One was a fun pet supply emporium, The Public Pet (review: https://yelp.to/XXvGoRe97Q), and this was the other store. There were plenty of things to browse. Clothing and accessories appeared to dominate the main hallway, while housewares, handbag, and fabrics were presented in the back area. There were unique items like colorful hair clips, duck-head umbrellas, and tins of mackerel filets. Andrew makes sure there's nothing predictable about the inventory here, which makes a return visit mandatory. RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Another plus is you can enter the store from the parking lot instead of having to walk around to Waialae Ave. Once inside it's a large open space with plenty to see. One entire wall dedicated to beautiful hang bags. Another wall for aromatherapy and vases. Keep walking toward Waialae and there are lovely clothes, beautiful shell lei, local kine themed Christmas ornaments on sale, jewelry at register and other such boho-ish items. Big star for these lovely unique items! There are changing rooms available. We loved all the displays of old school things like a printing press! Lost a star because sadly no welcome when we entered, asking if we needed help or show us where things were located in case we didn't see them. Lost a second star because despite our purchasing some items there was no mahalo for stopping in. We purchased some beautiful ornaments for next year and some lei that was quite reasonably priced.
