Much mahalos to the staff at Fitted Hawai'i who helped me out on 2/8/2020, you guys had no problems helping me out when asking you which sizes were available for which t-shirts that I was interested in and this was multiple employees working the store who worked together to help me out. Not just one and then the others were just chatting away, busy looking at their phones, or simply ignored and could care less, the latter of which I experienced at another store in Ala Moana that I'd visited right before this one. Although I've purchased items from Fitted Hawai'i's website a few times for shipping to CA before visiting their actual retail store, I never got the chance to check it out until just this year and I was glad to be able to finally stop by - it is a very small store, but they produce some of the freshest designs in the state. Many of their items sell out real quick online, as there's a limited number available and a high demand for their merchandise. read more

"Fitted is hella tight." Aloha is definitely served daily here. They've got good service, very helpful and encouraged us to touch everything (you ever noticed how you feel trained not to touch things at certain boutiques like you're 8 yrs old again?) We went here twice on our week visit. Their hat display is very nice, simple. They do a lot of releases, which are usually very limited and cannot be found anywhere else. It's harder to find a sold out piece here vs a piece from Huf, Supreme, etc. on ebay, craigslist, your connect's trunk, etc. The karmaloop-slash-Hypebeast-slash-hip hop-slash-skatewear-slash-whatever you wanna call it market is VERY saturated, and these limited quantities and revolving releases keep people interested. This is a hat store, although they sell some tshirts, sweaters, and small accessories. Some of their stuff is a little wild and out there, but you can tell they stick to their style, and although it is not for me, it definitely works. My bf and I use stores we hear about or visit online often as a guide or point of reference. When most people go to Hawaii to go surfing, learn to paddle boat, etc. We came to eat and make a homage to all the urban stores we hear about. This place was one of the infamous ones. If you want local flavor, I recommend using their blog as a guide. They talk about places to go to eat, and teach you a little bit about the island's history. Note: You don't have to go all the way to Hawaii to get a taste of the "HI LIFE". Order online at fitted.com. They also do phone orders. I'm not much of a hat girl, nor am I turned on when spending dolla dolla bills ya'll on t-shirts. The selection in this store is immensely limited. The hat selections come as they go and clothes are strictly pricy to join the "super modern hip kids." The one thing that I did go crazy over were the stickers. Call me a tad bit off since I complain about the prices on clothes but I went ape shit on those stickers! GIMME, GIMME, GIMME! With the limited amount of items in this store, I think they'd be just as prosperous if they only had their website to sell. The demographic of their target consumers come from all over the world so I'd bet you're better off buying their threads online. read more

Very small selection this time around and customer service was subpar. The guy was nice and slightly helpful but the girl sitting at the counter was just rude. We finally decided on a $60 dollar hat and stood at the counter waiting to be checked out, she was less than two feet in front of us sitting on a chair on her phone. We waited in front of her for a few minutes staring but she never looked up-- when she FINALLY noticed she even copped an attitude. I almost got to the point where I walked out and I wish I did, didn't want to spend that much money there and will probably never visit again. Whoever she is, find someone better. read more

I went there on Sunday 8/21 at 11:20am, waited 10 mins and store was closed. I kept calling until someone answered which was noon. So Yelp and their answering machine says they open at 11am. Opened an hour late. Is this island time? Store had great hats and style but a little disappointing I had to make such an effort to try & buy something at the store. Also 99% of the store had snapback hats not fitted hats which given the name of the store didn't make sense but maybe store name has nothing to do with the type of hats they sell. Although that's the reason I went there was for a fitted hat. None the less even more disappoint once I was actually able to get in the store. I was hoping to find the Aloha hat and Shaka hat but nothing. A competitor near by ended up with my business. read more

Aloha Served Daily. It's not just a motto, it's the way things are run at Fitted. From the way the shop is presented to the type of stuff that's brought in and sold at Fitted, the staff really has the whole thing down. Step in through the door of the small shop on Kona St. and you're instantly greeted by the two or three workers in the shop. They always got some sort of game on in the shop, so it's just a relaxed environment to chill in and stare at some hats. Speaking of hats, these aren't your run of the mill baseball caps. Funky designs/patterns/logos mark the selection here. Their in-house design team puts out some of the more interesting designs out there. A BIG plus is that they also cater to the robust gentlemen in the audience, so the big boys can get on the fashionable tip too. Also, they have a very spread out release schedule, so there's constantly new stuff in the shop. Every trip will yield new things to check out and try on. If there are any downsides to this shop is that their women's selection is wanting. I don't know how many females would frequent a shop like this, but I would assume a good amount, especially with the amount of New Eras seen on females nowadays. I'm sure they're working on it. Other than that, this shop is easily one of the top places to hit up if you're visiting from out of state. From the chill vibes to the awesome hat selection, you can't deny that these guys know what they're doing. It's quite a hidden location, posted up next to a pet shop and behind Ala Moana, but if you can spot the bright yellow awning, you'e in business. I've always been a fan of hats, they take the ease out of having to do my hair and provide me with another point of accessorizing. I however, have not always been a fan of FITTED, until this past summer when my hype beast friend Chris O. inspired me to check it out. The shop is clean, small, nicely laid out, chic like boutiques should be, and fresh (as in they're stock is continually updated since most of their items sell out). The staff is... OK, one staff member rubbed me the wrong way on my first day there to pick up a KAM. I didn't know my size and although there was a small line behind me, I didn't appreciate the loud sigh she let out just because I wanted to try 2 different sizes. The other staffers I met along the way were always cool, even sliding me some free stickers! HELPFUL TIP: Arrive early on Saturday if you want to grab a common size of their limited edition releases (usually that's 7 1/4 - 7 3/8). Some items are dropped on Tuesday, but usually those go on sale online as well, so less to worry about there. Sign up for their mailing list to get a sneak peak of what's being dropped a day or two before the release. It makes it a lot easier to decide whether or not it's worth the trip there. If you can wait for some long holdiays (Labor Day, Statehood Day, etc.) they usually will have a T-shirt sale (dropping prices anywhere from 25% to 35% off, though they usually don't have the best sizes and designs in stock by then). FITTED custom designs include: The Kam (Kamehameha Facial Profile) The Mua (Side Profile of an Ali'i) Pride (Old English 'H') Chee-Hu (Hawaiian Flag) Aloha (Aloha in Script) Expect to pay $30 for shirts and almost $60 on hats. I'm not a big hat wearer at all, but I respect Fitted's hustle big time. Their consistent releases of hats and shirts are demanded from all over the world. It's nice to have the upper hand on mainland people for once and be able to get dope gear. This is the third Black Friday sale I've attended. I went last year and stayed all night to get deals. Got some great ones. This year I went after my major shopping and stood at the end of the line and STILL was able to get great hats and shirts. You have to respect a business that can literally empty the store's stock on hand at great prices, closes down, and does a complete restock with all new products.
