First time at this location. Looks nice with the Hawaiian souvenirs but I wasn't greeted by the security guard. She actually turned her back when I entered which was odd. I heard her greet sobriety ends and that's her job. An employee greeted me but still it gave be a bad vibe. Located on Waikiki next to the ABC store. This is one of the best ross stores i have been in travel wise! Clean bathrooms and designer shades on deck! They also sell many hawaii based souvenirs here. I have bought many items throughout my stay here in hawaii and my favorite purchases were the flower earrings which is form of plumerias for $6.99! Price wise some items I have scored for really cheap - cheaper than swap meet prices. Examples are clothing on the clearance rack. Scored items as low as $4.99! Customer service here is decent. They are helpful with assistance if needed. So the items you will find here "Hawaiian" based - are keychains, deck of cards, boxed christmas cards, boxed cards, hawaiian attire sets for man/woman/child, bathing suits, pareos (swim wraps), hawaiian dresses, hawaiian male shirts, tote bags, lunch boxes, luggage tags and straps, neck pillows, quilt sets / blankets, ornaments, snacks, hawaiian car solar boppers (ex: hawaiian hula girl), puzzles, 3d lego like small toys, stuffies / plushies, jewelry (wood, earrings, bracelets, necklaces) , mugs, luggages were the items I saw while my stay. This is a 2 story store the restrooms are upstairs - which is btw clean. The dressing dept staff stated that the store manager checks on the restrooms every hour for cleanliness. They charge for bags here when you purchase items - be mindful. So make sure you bring your reusable bags or you will be charged for bags. As a general merchandise store, stock may vary but there are usually good buys in household items and children's clothes when I shopped. A very close friend of mine Marian, turned me onto this Ross store. When I was on Oahu, I would visit Ross at Ala Moana. Until finding this Ross in Waikiki. It opens at 8 AM ,so we try to get there around that time. This store is huge. It actually has two stories. It's jampacked with amazing products from around the world. Everything you could imagine and more is at this Ross store. There's an escalator and an elevator to go upstairs and you can take your buggy. (shopping cart.) The staff is so nice and helpful. They're happy to show you where everything is ,if you can't find it. They have clean restrooms, but you must have someone let you in. There are nice changing rooms upstairs and down to try on your pre-purchases. We like to in the morning for the best choices. By 11am it's packed with people inside. So many great clothing choices, shoes, wonderful cosmetics from Korea. Food, luggage, household decor,and more. It's just a joy to shop here! My friend and I always have a wonderful time and buy so many things. We wonder how we're going to carry them all home. I like this Ross! Lots of Hawaiian souvenirs here. Also lots of clothing selections, less home decor and household items here compared to other Ross stores, but still a good amount. I found a German honey here that sells for double the price on Amazon. It's supposed to be high quality honey! The staff were very friendly and the items from the fitting rooms were put back on the racks quickly. The staff there work hard! I like how they validate parking. They'll give you a sticker. 2 free hours with any purchase from Ross if you park at the waikiki business plaza, the parking structure where you have to go through a corridor before you get to the gate bar, next to all the food trucks. Ross is on the 3rd floor. The parking machine on 3rd floor has been broken for a while, so you'll have to go to 1st floor or just bring your ticket with you as you drive out directly to the gate. read more

The positives: The upper level is much quieter because less people know about it. There's a big assortment of men's clothes, kids clothes, storage boxes, home goods, pet care and accessories, and holiday decor. The workers are friendly here as well. The negatives: The fitting room. I tried every open door in the fitting room and the locks don't go all the way across the door, so you have to hold the door closed with one hand while trying on. When I was leaving, I noticed the tile on the ceiling directly above the left side of rooms was completely moved aside so who knows if anyone's watching up there. There is not a very big selection of women's clothes that are more petite, everything left was mostly plus sizes. read more

Hello retail therapy at an affordable price is just bliss! This Ross is located in the heart of Waikiki next to the Hyatt Centric in the former Waikiki Theater so yes it's massive with two floors filled to the brim you know I'm gonna browse whenever I'm nearby which isn't that very common. Clearly a convenience as many forgot to pack or in need of certain essentials so this location honestly I do rarely find the things I'm looking for Ross does have a great return policy of within 30 days you can return if you change your mind just as long it's in sellable condition so shopping there is always non-negotiable as it's always a find here and it's so nice, clean and organized with the friendliest staff and though I'm usually walking from a nearby errand but there is parking and is free with purchase I believe so check for that much needed therapy and go home with a fabulous find. I am a bargain hunter and this Ross was a treasure trove. Tons of great deals on women's clothing. They had a large selection of both casual and formal dresses. Very affordable prices. They were a little light on handbags and shoes though. I also found men's classic hawaiian button down short sleeve shirts for half the price of ABC stores and other souvenir shops. In the fitting room, you can only bring 8 items of clothing in at once. And they count things like belts on dresses as separate pieces. So if you have a huge haul like I did, it can take awhile to try everything on because you constantly have to rotate all the items in batches. There are 2 things that makes me want to shop at this Ross Dress for Less (RDL): large selection and parking. Oh, and did I mention the parking? RDL is a national chain of discount department stores that has currently over 15 locations on Oahu. Their Waikiki store took over the space of the old Waikiki 1 and Waikiki 2 theater spaces. Yikes, my age is showing. The Waikiki RDL store has 2 floors of merchandise and quite spacious compared with other locations. The men's section is quite impressive with a large inventory of shirts, pants, shoes and accessories. There are 2 entrances to this RDL: from the parking garage and the main entrance on Seaside Ave.. At either location you can pay for your merchandise. Just like other stores, don't be surprised to see a large inventory of various snacks while standing in line waiting to pay. This seems like a successful strategy to increase sales while you wait in line. And yes, I've fallen into this trap and have witnessed others do the same. Very smart. Too good. Validated parking to this location is key in drawing locals into this store where they can easily go to other RDL and not pay for parking. After you pay for your merchandise, take your parking ticket and receipt to the 2nd floor cashier to have your ticket validated. Then, step outside to the Waikiki Parking Garage Parking Pay Machine to have your parking ticket processed. Lastly, use that ticket as you exit the garage. RDL validation is good for 2 hours. Entrance to the parking lot is just before you reach Waikiki RDL. It's on the Diamond Head side of Seaside Ave and you pull in the driveway but you need to be careful as this entrance has heavy foot traffic of people going in both directions. If you into people watching, this RDL is for you. With some locals, there are MANY, MANY tourists who also shop here. Please keep in mind that you have to show your patience and ALOHA when waiting in line to pay. Not all tourists speak English so at times you see the cashier struggle with the customers in communicating and this holds up the checking out process. Overall, this RDL ranks high on my list of their numerous locations on this island. I've found the staff friendly and a great selection in their merchandise. 2020 #15 read more

This is the nicest Ross I've ever been to. 2 floors. Spacious. Organized. Friendly staff. And best part is TWO hours of free parking with validation in the heart of Waikiki. Parking in Waikiki is a pain but with an option to shop here with free parking makes the experience totally worth it. Always love checking out their home goods and packaged food selection for new discoveries. They have such a neat variety at amazing prices. We ended coming here because hubby needed an outfit for a luau that we are going to. The guy at the front was greeting all the customers but he also told us they close in 45 minutes. Hubby found some nice jeans for $7.00. Not bad. My daughter wanted a dress too so she got a dress. This store has two levels which was cool. The store needs to be bigger for customers to get around. I definitely liked that. I didn't really need anything but we also needed a bulb for our wires so our phones can charge. Thank goodness they had one available. This Ross in Waikiki is huge! Why is that? Because this space was a movie theatre back in the day. I remember falling asleep twice in there watching Talented Mr Ripley and South Park. They were boring! I won't be bored now coming here as the Ross here isn't boring at all! This Ross is located along Seaside Avenue, before Hyatt Centric, and across Musubi & Bento Iyasume. There's parking, which you enter before Ross, across Lau'ula St. You can get validation from Ross for two free hours after purchase (of course). Its clean and organized inside with security guards manning the entrances. This store is definitely more geared more towards travel and for tourists related items to go with the plethora of clothes, shoes, and home items. Overall, a nice Ross to come to, but it can get pretty busy because of tourists. The staff are generally friendly and pleasant. You can't beat free two hour parking in Waikiki with any purchase from Ross. Grab a bottle of water and you're good to go! read more

The lady at the fitting room was friendly, kind, helpful and very pleasant to talk with. She had the biggest smile and a friendly tone of voice. The security guards at the front, all three days we came here were so welcoming and greeted us upon entrance and even our exit. The lady at the register, Malia, was not. I understand you may hate your job, but I hate paying for something knowing it can be cheaper, so we hate some things but I'm not here to take it out on you so don't take your attitude out on me. I asked a simple question, wondering what the difference is on pricing on the same exact items and you can't respond without rolling your eyes and sighing? Then telling your manager almost instantly like we can't comprehend English? Giving you the benefit of doubt that you may have had a bad day, but hey, I had a bad day too, in paradise on my vacation no less so please don't make it worse. Customer service is a huge part of your job and you did not do very well today. Hope you're okay in life. This Ross is one of one of the cleanest I have ever been to. This Ross location is possibly the biggest I've ever seen with it having two stories and generally large square footage. I came here looking for a pair of sunglasses, and any other necessities we may have missed on our second day here in Honolulu. Something you don't see in California is Saint Laurent bag hanging at a Ross, so this was something I had to share! In Honolulu, you can see rows of designer shops showcasing their newest handbags - and it seems like their Ross even carries them too. Security is extremely friendly here, we were greeted as soon as we came in. Generally everyone who works here asked if we needed help with anything, which was really nice and not like the Ross we have back home. If you're seeking Hawaii souvenirs - you won't find them here. You can find clothing, beach gear, holiday decor, shoes, suitcases - but you will not find souvenirs. I have to make this clear because I've noticed people trying to get souvenirs here and complaining on my visit. However, right next door you can find a very cute Hawaiian souvenir shop and a milk tea shop as well! I'm really thankful to have found this location, because we had a lot of essentials that we clearly forgot to pack, so this made our trip easier! There are a lot of department stores further away, so if you're in the area, Ross is possibly the best all in one shop you'll find. The prices here are comparable to most Ross's you'll find, so you won't find any major deals. I will say although they have large shoe racks, the selection isn't that large. I was able to find a pretty cute pair of heeled mules here but aside there was nothing else that caught my eye very much. The second floor you'll find baby clothes, toys, and men's apparel. The entire first floor is women's, luggage, and some decor, so you're bound to find something you need here! The top highlight is how friendly and helpful the staff is here, but I do wish the location had more selection instead of the feeling that you're settling on something. I do think that it's the best bet for affordable necessities, so I highly recommended visiting just to check out the inventory and what's available. This location has 2 floors. 1st floor has Hawaiian merchandise, food, bags and luggage, womens clothing, shoes, and accessories. 2nd floor has mens clothing, and accessories, childrens clothing and accessories, and home. Customers can take the stairs, elevator, or escalator to 2nd floor. I don't like that the clothing racks are 2 tiers because I'm short and cannot really see the clothing sizes. The clothing racks are close so there is enough room for 1 customer to look at clothing. It has the best selection of merchandise as compared to other locations. I've been to this Ross multiple times, and this past visit... I noticed that the store was really clean and super organized! This location has two floors and a great selection. I love that there are items are that are tropical themed that you can't get on the mainland. Staff are very friendly as well.
