Located in the strip of Waikiki is a 1 level small macys store. Don't exoect alot of sections such as juniors section housewares etc.. This macys only has a few sections of jewelry, swimwear, cosmetics. However they carry one of the best deals on clothing and swimwear here! ROSS is my top fave but thats another review LOL You come here for mark downs! Scored a 2 pc crochet robe/pant set to wear with bathing suit underneath for under $40 , peek a boo dress for $10 with that purchase scored a $10 coupon - went to ala moana and scored a $7 maxi strap dress with using the $10 coupon. They also had $4.96 INC earrings sale stash in the jewelry section. You can still get coupons even without a Macys CC all you need is a phone number. Five stars for the deals here but not so much of the categories they have inside the store. read more

HORRIFIC Customer Service!! Never walking in this store again! As a local, I've shopped here time and time again. On a routine walk I stopped in to use the bathroom. As I politely asked the gentleman in the back cash register counter for the code, he waved his hand at me and said "I'm with a customer right now." I stood there and waited thinking that he would give me the code and go quickly back to the other customer, but he decided to make me wait, and wait, and wait. After standing there 2 feet away from him for 2 minutes, without even looking again in my direction, I gave up. This is probably the smallest Macy's that I've been in. While the store is small in size, you can still find all the necessities. They have men's, women's and kid's departments. They also have luggage, swimwear, jewelry, shoes and cosmetics. Yesterday, was National Lipstick Day. MAC was running a great deal. They had 40% off on select lipsticks, lipliners and glosses. I wanted to get the O lipstick and Oak lipliner. However, they were sold out. The salesgirl offered to order it for me and send it to my residence with free shipping. I told her that was fine. She looked up my info in the computer system and rang me up. She was really helpful towards the end, but in the beginning she saw me looking at all their lipsticks for 10 minutes and didn't bother coming over. It was only after another woman came by that she decided to come and help us. read more

Thank you Yasuko for a great service! I really appreciate it very much. So, for today's visit I went in to do a return on a purchase I made online. The item I received didn't seem to be what I wanted. As we walked into Macy's we seen how busy the store looked. I really loved the set up tho. It catches your eye as you enter. The sale signs, the SHOES! ( oh my goodness the SHOES). The bags too! Oh man... if I only came alone, I would've never left. LOL! In my opinion, this location is one of the best locations to shop at because they seem to have more of everything in stock. Maybe even better sales too. The variety of items they display makes you want to shop instantly! It's dangerous for us women! Hahahaha... Anywho, I went to return an item I purchased online and was waiting for help at the register. There was this one employee who seemed to have seen me, but didn't make her way towards me. Instead she kind of walked the opposite direction. But no matter, because she probably had been in the middle of helping someone. But this other employee asked if I had been helped. I said no... with that she offered her assistance. At this, I was ok with just a simple refund. I explained that I didn't really care for the color of the item and had wanted to do an exchange. But, seeing as they were busy, I was ok with accepting a refund. She willingly looked up the item, searched their database to see if there was in stock of other colors. She said, if the items on the floor, we can do the exchange, if not, I can either go to another location or return it and do an exchange online in-store. As confusing as that sounded, she assured she'd help but first things first, lets get the other color and see if that's ok with me. Well, when she came back, she showed me the only one left in-stock at this location. It was the COLOR I WANTED! So, she helped me do the exchange & gave me a few pointers on taking care of this type of material. Then, after our exchange, she simply thanked me for coming in and I totally appreciated HER for the service. She went out of her way to go through all that for myself. She also informed me that if I do decide to change my mind on THIS COLOR, they have another color available at another location. I can go there to swap it out too, if I wanted. I came here the other week just to check out. I've been trying so hard to avoid Waikiki during this pandemic but I had to return something to a store out there. I figure since I was already out there I might as well walk around and check out some of the stores. This Macy's is probably one of the smaller Macy's on island. There really wasn't anything different from other Macy's. And the sales were the same. The selection of the merchandise is a lot less. But the bright spot of this store is located in the back of the store. And I probably wouldn't even had noticed but I had to use the bathroom. They have a small shoe selection back there but what they had was all on sale. Some of their shoes were 70% off! I definitely don't go anywhere fancy anymore since having a baby, haha but they had some nice dress shoes. They also had some cheap athletic shoes for like $50. My daughter "lost" her shoes the day before and so I saw a good pair for her. It was a cheap price, $15 for Skechers waterproof shoes. It was weird though because I saw the exact same style, same color but it was $5 cheaper. I asked the lady if the one I got was $10 too but she said that mine was still $15. She said that it depends on when it comes into the store. When it came later, the price gets cheaper. Don't know, it was the same model. Came here with my MIL on NY day. We already knew what we wanted, so shopping was simple. The saleslady was friendly and she seemed knowledgeable about the products. We were able to validate our parking there for IMP, and it was like a $7 validation since we bought something at Macy's. We did have to wait though to get it validated because she couldn't do it for us. I like how the store was clean, and it wasn't busy at all. Most of the sales reps greeted us. read more

I went in to look for dress shoes and when waiting in line for a while, a guy noticed me and said he could ring me up elsewhere. I said I needed them price checked so I could choose which one and apologized for not seeing one myself. He took out his app and did it right there for me and was super polite about it. I decided on a pair and he rang me up. We talked while he rang me up and I signed up for a membership card. Thought it was strange it asked for income and SSN but he explained it and assuaged me. All the while we had a pleasant conversation. All around great experience. Man was a middle-aged bearded light skin guy with dark hair. Rang me up on the west side of the store. The most ironic thing about all this, is that I don't "normally" go to Macy's... but since I was on vacation, I'd thought to just explore -- only to be accused of shoplifting by KELLY because I was walking around with my tote bag that had a dangling plush toy hanging off of it... the way she approached me was really upsetting. This is the second year in a row that someone in my family has been mistreated by this Macy's location. I am fairly certain it was the same woman (Siphen) both times. Last year, she refused to give my aunt the discounted price for coverup just because it was in a larger size than the other one she found. Exact same product and color. This year, she asked me if I had a Macy's card and when I told her no, she asked if I was a bronze member and i said yes. I told her I had Macy's dollars and showed her the email and she told me that the Macy's dollars didn't belong to me, but belonged to whoever owned the Macy's card I purchased them on, insinuating I did not purchase my own merchandise. I told her that i paid for my own mercy on my own credit card (not Macy's) and she was rude even further, so I left all of my merch at the counter and left due to her rudeness. For a place like Hawaii, where everyone is nice, it seems like Macy's should be able to find a kinder person to represent their company than Siphen. My entire family comes here every year and we will NOT be returning to this location. read more

I hate this Macy's. It's small and doesn't have all the makeup brands I like (where are you, Benefit!?) I don't shop at Macy's all that often, but I frequently walk in because the Hawaii credit union ATMs are always located in Macy's across the island. This particular location happens to be the most convenient for me, so I keep coming back. I'm not all that impressed with the shoe selection here. Maybe because it's a small store, I can never find anything I like... everything seems too "mature" and the cute shoes only come in size 5 and 6. Maybe they cater to the small asian feet of the Japanese tourists, or maybe I come at the wrong time and my size is always out of stock. Whatever it is, I usually don't anticipate finding anything I like here anyways. On my last visit, I came to return something I had bought from MAC. The woman at the MAC counter left me hanging while she went to go find someone who could help me. What?! You don't know how to do a return!?! Dumb. While I was waiting around, I noticed that Clinique was doing a promo and went over to ask about it. No one was at the counter....... So not only is it a tiny store, they also understaff; on top of that, the staff that is there is unable to perform normal tasks like returns.....I was so confused. Mehhhh. This macys is smaller than the rest of their store chain on the island. Seems that cosmetic section is huge in the center of the store and other departments surrounding it; shoes, women clothing, men's clothing etc It's convenient in Waikiki but very small. read more

We stop in this very small location, many times (4-5x) on our week long trip. It's in the middle of Kalakaua, and open late, so it's pretty convenient for us. What's funny is that my husband finds something he likes (Tommy Bahama, Quiksilver) usually, and it's on sale. We also take advantage of the 9% off Sales Pass for visitors (time sensitive) that's in the free booklets all over town. The bathroom is just past the shoe department, up the stairs. The sales people are very friendly and full of smiles. It used to be bigger (it was the swimwear department) but then a restaurant moved in. True Story: We saw an older lady (60s) trying to recapture her youth (but failing miserably) in clown-like makeup (like the most known lady on the Drew Carey show- bright blue glittery eyeshadow) and hootchie mama short shorts (wrinkles and all), big hair, and costume jewelry and painted nails- not nice- she looked like an aged street walker. It was one of those "Oh, no she didn't" moments. She could've been one of those "Don'ts" in Glamour magazine, with the black bars over the person's eyes, to protect the identity. Came here w/ my indecisive BF looking for a G-Shock. We came here, looked at a watch, my BF wasn't sure if he wanted it so we left. 10 mins later, we came back to get that watch he was looking at.. right before he was getting ready to pay, another G shock caught his, and then a different one... -__-The new sales rep who assisted us was sooooo patient! This is a much more organized Macy's than the one I'm most used to at the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto. It almost felt more like a Bloomingdale's to me than a regular Macy's. There were lots of items on sale but unfortunately my cousin and I still could not find anything to buy other than very basic make-up... This is a nice store to stop in to though! read more

Oh Macy 's! You want to be awesome, but just can't quite get there. For the uninitiated, here's what you will find... 1. Service that is only ok. The employees will pounce to make sure that you bring your purchases to them so they get commission, but once that is done, they are off socializing with co-workers. If someone else offers to help and learns that you have committed to someone else, they will try to disappear as quickly as possible. 2. Prices change constantly. There is a sale of some sort almost every day of the year. You will never know if you got a good or fair deal unless you shop at Macy 's all the time. 3. Good thing I didn't read the other Yelp reviews before visiting this store! Despite a number of scathing reviews by others, I had a good experience here. I was here to shop for women's clothing and felt the selection was reasonably good. Some things were on sale and some not, pretty much standard for Macy's most of the time. The sales associates were all very nice and very helpful except for one buffoon in the ladies shoe department who was busy flirting with some tourists and ignoring the other customers. (By the way, the bathroom is located just beyond the shoe department if you're in need.) The Waikiki Macy's is located directly across from Royal Hawaiian Center (Building C0, on Kalakaua Ave. Since I was already visiting RHC and had validated parking, it was convenient to take advantage of Macy's late hours (open 10:00am - 11:00pm daily). This location is probably my least favorite store to shop at. First of all parking, you'll have to find street parking. If not you can park at the Royal Hawaiian Center but you'll probably need to validated it in one of the shopping or restaurant stores so you can get free parking for a certain amount of hours. I usually park at Ross, since I always find something to buy anyways get it validated for free parking up to 3 hours and walk over to macys which is less than a minute away. I've only been here a few times and realize how this store is probably the smallest macys I've seen. So of course their selections will be limited as well. They don't even have a baby section! I would think for a large chain store they would have a bigger store in waikiki especially being that its a tourist attraction. At least their hours are longer than others to cater to the tourists who shops late. But for the couple times I've gone there this past week, customer service in the hang bag department was very friendly and helpful. They were so attentive and quick to my needs. The cashier even suggested ways to save money and gave opinions on what bags were fit to what I was looking for. I'll probably only come back to this location only if certain items I'm looking for is only available at this location. read more

Early Sept 2013 This Macy's is the Smallest Ever, so don't go here if you're trying to get an Epic Shop on. This particular location does one thing very, very well: SWIMSUITS. Seriously, ladies, when it's time to add to the 58 swimsuits you brought to Hawaii, get to this store and up your game. The older lady at the register near the kids section/women's section was disrespectful and rude to myself and my husband. Neither of us felt as if she was listening, or even bothered to make conversation. She seemed out of sorts, maybe she was just having a bad day, but definitely reflected it on myself and my husband. We love the Ala Moana location, they always have way better customer service. This older lady seemed like she didn't care, and when my husband asked about a military discount she rudely said "that will not be offered here, or any Macy's".. Super tiny Macy's! I'm happy they're keeping this old Liberty House location open though, as a decent promotional department store choice amidst all the full-price boutiques and ABC store-type shops. Despite the tiny size, they will most likely have what you need "in an emergency" but don't bet on a large selection. The stock is definitely focused strongly on casual/beach wear, though I was surprised the jewelry/watch and cosmetics departments were able to eke out as large a space as they have. This store could be amazing with a full-on remodel. They could gain massive space from removing and changing some of the old giant displays (cosmetics and jewelry cases for example) and by "opening up" the space to feel less closed in. It would be great if they gave it a Contemporary Liberty House theme (no more ugly carpet though). Maybe when they feel the competition from Saks moving in and realize this is an excellent piece of real estate? read more

This is one of the worst Macy's I've been to =/ It's small and convenient if you are in Waikiki, but they really don't have much to offer. Their shoe section is small, their clothes section is kinda blah...I think the only thing you can find here is make-up or swim suits. Popped in to shop. The selection is small but the staff was fantastic. Helped me with some clothing and watches. Clean store, many sale items. Gloria was so sweet and genuine. Helped me use my coupons!! She was a nice person indeed. Leah was sooooo helpful helping me pick out a gift for my husband. I was looking for some specific items and found them. And Gloria... I promised ... On September 9, 1791, the three commissioners overseeing the capital's construction named the city in honor of President Washington.
