Got engaged and went into Gucci with the intention to purchase a key pouch to commemorate the trip. Walked in and Emma helped assist my fiancé and I. She noticed we were both hot and sweaty from the Hawaiian heat and offered us some water before she could pull out our key pouches. I noticed a mini Gucci bag and asked for the pricing and she explained that there is Hawaii pricing and we would be saving 10% as well as up to 6% in taxes (compared to the state we live in). I was afraid that I would be discriminated against or looked down on for not looking well-dressed or put together because that's how I felt at the other location. However, the staff proved me wrong and was extremely helpful from the moment I walked in. I was helped by Junko right away and told her what I was looking for. She guided me over to the bag that I wanted and let me try it on. I loved it and she told me she would clean up a new one in the back. I came here during COVID, this store, like all high end stores follows guidelines to ensure that all guests receive proper safety measures and only allows a certain number of guests at a time. We were at the LV store and they didn't have anything I wanted in stock. YSL was second on my list but came to Gucci because it was about a block away. We waited in line for a half an hour before we were let in. I had only wanted to browse but found a large Marmont purse that I couldn't resist! I got it in a cream color because hubs liked it more than the black, which was my choice. But after thinking about it, I have a TON of black purses and cream is a nice addition to my collection! I went back again and found a tote that I had to get! I bought another black bag, lol! Overall, I'm happy with my purchases! So I was looking for a specific item and called the Waikiki store to see if they had it. They said they did and I could be contacted by a client advisor to put it on hold. Gave my name and number and waited for a call. No one called. Since there was only one of this item in this size, I drove down to Waikiki from Mililani. Valet parked at the Ritz-Carlton and walked in the rain to the store. Greeted at door and was told a client advisor would be with us shortly. A couple was right behind us and they were helped right away by one of the 3 women who were standing near the door. So we walked in, looked around, went upstairs, came back down and went to the greeter to ask what was going on. I told him it would probably be their fastest sale of the day because I knew exactly what I wanted and they had it in stock. He said I had to wait for my client advisor. I said oh I have one? He said yes, he's upstairs helping someone at the moment. When we had gone upstairs there were 2 guys helping a couple of men. So I said how did the people who walked in after us end up being helped first? He said they have a system to assign client advisors. So if we walked in first and the advisor was already helping someone why was he assigned to us? So I said oh I just thought you didn't want to help us (we weren't "dressed up") so now there's another advisor near the greeter and they tell us to have a seat they would call our advisor. The greeter then offered us water or sparkling water. We declined. Then the client advisor who was standing near the greeter also offered us water. We sat and waited a few minutes before our advisor shows up. He helped us and while we were waiting to be rung up, the couple who came in after us was done and gone. Someone explain the process to me please....... To add salt to the wound I try to contact someone on the Gucci website and it sent me to text. Still waiting for a client advisor "who will be with me shortly". I don't know what's worse, being followed around and watched like you're trying to steal something or not being helped at all . read more

Junko was a wonderful, gracious salesperson when we wandered in last Monday. I had browsed through the LV, Dior, YSL stores before going to Gucci looking for a particular type of wallet. Junko graciously offered us water or champagne as it was a warmer day. None of the other stores in all of our visits and days of purse shopping/ purchasing had offered us drinks! Lo and behold, unlike the Gucci Ala Moana site, they had the Dionysus GG Supreme wallet (more like a purse actually) there. Sold! Definitely glad I had not bought the one I had been eyeing at YSL across the street (although the saleslady there was wonderful as well). Junko smartly showed us (which is always a great tactic, I've only seen this at Gucci on this trip the "Mainland price + our state tax" vs the "Hawaii price and tax"). When I first came in to the store I kept waiting for someone to help me but nobody ever came out. I kept asking the lady at the door if anyone was going to help me. After about 10-minutes I got impatient and asked a nicely dressed associate if he could help. He apologized several times stating he thought I was working with someone. Store is huge w/ 2 stories of goodies. I came in w/ a specific purpose of locating the shoes I wanted. Not a small feat considering I'm a size 5/35. Get the pun? Haha After an unsuccessful attempt in Maui 2 days prior, I was hopeful since this store carries a larger offering. Lo and behold, they were upstairs and when I asked for a 34.5 (the site advised they run large), the salesperson said they had it. After trying it on, the shoes felt a little big still but not as massive as they could've been. Decided to take 'em. The shoes weren't 20% off as part of the price reduction for Hawaii. Realized she actually gave me a size 34 when I wore them to dinner and looked at the box. It worked out anyways but she could've told me that they didn't have the size I originally asked for. Bought the cutest shoulder bag at this location which was walking distance from my hotel. They have good inventory. I was able to try on every bag I wanted to try. Saved close to $200 compared to how much I would have spent in my hometown due to the 10% discount and lower tax rate here in Hawaii. This is the location on luxury row in Waikiki. It is one of the largest Gucci stores. They are currently celebrating their 100 years. I came here to purchase I hat I wanted that I saw online. They were out of stock but Mi Ran helped me and ordered it from Vegas. I came in to pick it up and it was gorgeous! But it didn't fit me right. So I instead did some early Christmas shopping and got my sister a card holder and my mom a card holder. Mi Ran was so nice and thoughtful. She gave me some candies to celebrate the Gucci 100 year anniversary and showed me their special collection. They sold out of the purse I liked. This is a beautiful boutique, they have hand sanitizer as you walk in. Someone is assigned to help you if you don't already have an SA. You can valet park at the ritz Carlton up till 8 pm. A great experience is an understatement! My fiancé and I came here to do some shopping . We were assigned to Li Ming and I am very thankful we were! She really set a great standard of customer service. We usually shop at the Gucci at the Ceasars Palace in the forum shoppes in Vegas- Their customer service isn't the best). She was so kind and attentive. She is very knowledgeable of the brand and has a great eye and finds great pieces to match your style. She did great in picking out some pieces that I ended up loving! What I love best is she made me feel comfortable. * I am sure there are a few of us out there who've encountered that uncomfortable situation where an advisors acts as if you cant afford any of their items in the store and maybe wasting their time. So it makes it for a very horrible experience * -- But, with Li Ming. I didn't get that. She showed me multiple items at a time on the display table. Allowed me to try on as many purse as often as I need to and take pictures to make a decision. My fiance also looked for wallets and she was so kind and patient. She showed over a dozen wallets and went to the back several times to find different pieces and not once looked like she was tired of helping us. 3 months later this Gucci store still has not resolved and refunded me for double charging me. While I was paying, the power went out after I swiped. After the power came back on, I was asked to do another swipe. I was told and reassured that "Hey, this is a Gucci store, there's no way I'll get scammed". They told me to wait a week in order to get the refund. I didn't get any refund so I reported it as fraud on my credit card instead. I got the money back but somehow on Jan 5, I was "rebilled". Next time somebody asks me to re-swipe, I'll never swipe again even if it's a luxury store! read more

Absolutely the best customer experience I've ever had! Not just at Gucci, but from all of my luxury shopping experience. Our sales associate was Yumiko and she was the sweetest and nicest person. My friend and I were just looking around and were dressed in regular clothes, but she treated us like royalty. Anything we had a question about, she had an answer. Anything we wanted to look at, she brought it down from the shelf. She showed us how you can wear the purse in different ways or how to work the clasp. She should be a prime example of how other luxury store sales associates should treat their customers. In the end, my friend ended up buying the Gucci Soho Disco Bag. We always like shopping in Hawaii, because Gucci prices are 20%-25% lower than back in California. Was in Honolulu for a 3 day vacation and before we headed out to the next island. We walked Ala Moana Mall and came across the Gucci store. Planned on just window shopping because I didn't want to purchase anything and have to lug the big box in my suitcase through our Hawaii travels to other islands plus the box would have been in bad condition at the end of my trip. My shopping concierge was Miran. She was very patient, suggestive and attentive with me while I shopped. So I ended up purchasing a bag. Hawaii's tax is 4%, merchandise is 10% less, and free shipping to the mainland. How could I resist. Saved me hundreds. If you are visiting Honolulu I suggest you wait to buy your high end bag there. I walked into Gucci and was luckily introduced to Liming. I told her what I was looking for and she matched me with a few purses that were perfect. She was very patient and I explained that I had a few other stores I wanted to shop. There was no pressure whatsoever. I went and shopped elsewhere but kept looking back at the purse she had perfectly paired me with. I text her and said I would be coming back to the store and that I would also like to look at some wallets. When I walked back in, she had some wallets ready for me to look at. Again, she didn't pressure me into anything and made sure to show me plenty of options. It was an absolutely wonderful experience dealing with Liming in the Waikiki store. This Gucci store is one of two on Oahu and is the one that is open later. The other one closes at 7, whereas at time of writing this one is open till 8:00 or 9:00 PM. They don't have everything in stock, which is a little disappointing, but the staff are excellent and polite. I simply wish that they had more shoes in stock. You are advised to call and check on your size in advance prior to commuting here as you may be disappointed. There is no parking nearby unless you park at the mall and walk. Once inside the store, there are two floors with most of the purses on the first floor and the shoes on the second. There is adequate staff, so it is easy to flag down someone for assistance. The shopping experience was fine, just a little disappointing at what was out of stock. Supposedly that is one advantage the other store has over this one - more things are in stock. read more

I prefer the Waikiki Gucci over the Ala Moana store. The store is grander, nicer and displayed well, but most of all, the sales team is very helpful and down to earth. A week ago, I make it a point to go to Waikiki Gucci because I just so happen to be in Waikiki for a meeting. I walk in and of course, they are all busy with a customer. I am standing in front of the display eyeing the bag that I want and a gentleman is helping a customer already so I figured I'd just mill about and wait for him or someone else to help me. He looks up from the case and says "Welcome to Gucci". He sees me looking at the Ophedia crossbody bag and he takes it down for me without me even asking. I tell him I had my eye on this bag for for my GF for awhile and he immediately says "Great choice! It's one of our bestsellers." He checks on his client who is still deciding and sees another sales gal who just walked her client out. He asks her if she could assist me further with the sale. I ended up buying the Ophedia bag with her. She was very nice and she showed me the matching wallet which I didn't intend to get but ended up getting it also. She gave me her card and asked me to come see her anytime. Her name was Satomi Grillo. As she walked me to the door, he was still helping his customer and said goodbye and thank you to me as I was leaving. I'm here on vacation and got "pretty womaned" at the Ala Moana location. Since I was rejected entrance I didn't want to go back there. As I was set on getting a specific item I decided to come to this location. I am the type of person who dresses very comfortable. With joggers and a sweater.
