I love the Nordstrom Rack, especially in Elk Grove, ca location. Love the idea I can buy better quality at lower prices. I don't shop much in Honolulu, living up the West coast, go through often but for other purposes. This day I had to hang out while husband had a procedure done. Decided it was time to visit the Rack here. Although I did purchased two items that I was happy with at a decent rate I like the large store at EG location. It offers more women's inventory to choose from so it's still my favorite when visiting the Mainland. The staff member was friendly and provided great service. Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located at South Shore Market in Kaka'ako, this Nordstrom Rack has free, covered parking in the attached structure, and has two floors of Retail Therapy! I felt like I deserved a little reward for cleaning the yard, so I went here for some discounted prices. It's still a bit high for me, so I was able to control the spending! I enjoyed the upper level more than the street level because the lower floor seemed to have just men's merchandise while the second floor catered to Women, Children, and pets. There was also some home furnishings such as candles, blankets, room sprays, etc. I strolled past the accessories, plushies, skin care items, and looked at the cute stationary sets... Today my wife was looking for a jacket so we decided to held down to Nordstrom Rack on Auahi St.. Lots of free parking available in their parking garage. Nordstrom Rack is the budget store of Nordstrom. Merchandise that they cannot sell they bring it to the Nordstrom Rack . The 3rd Level is women and the ground floor is Men . If you know your prices like me the prices are not that cheap it's actually marked up high on the regular price than Sale of 40% off to discount the item ?. For example as you all know the surf brands is going out of business like quicksilver and Volcom. It's so sad because I grew up and still wear that brand so I know my prices . The Volcom prices for pants is at $70 at Nordstrom Rack than 40% discount off.. The normal price for Volcom pants is at $55 ? So it's not much of a savings @$47 While other places sell it for $55 than have a sale off of that price . read more

Whenever we come back to Hawaii, Nordstrom Rack is always on our list to shop. It's as if our car knows exactly how to get to drive there on its own!!! We always find a great selection of items that are reasonably priced and in the sizes we are looking for. My wife has tiny feet (size 4-5) and the selection of shoes and styles are incredible. I usually find great bargains in the Aloha shirt section in popular name brands and great colors and designs. The employees are very helpful and friendly. There's a parking garage that is plentiful. Finally became a Nordy member (the free membership, not using their credit card) after my third or so time shopping at this Ward location. Most of the clothing for women seem to be in Junior sizes! I'm typically a medium but found I need to go a size or two up. There's a neat and clean fitting room with an attendant so you don't have to chase and ask a rep. Everything is neatly displayed. There's racks just for certain designer brands so it's easier to spot. Definitely worth shopping here for DESIGNER brand name shades, accessories, belts, pants, etc. Alterations: For those who have been wondering, you can bring your Nordstrom clothes to the fitting room and let the attendant know you would like something altered. When you buy something there's a tag with the website to book an alterations appointment online! The seamstress is there for certain hours each day. The one I saw seemed "over it" and because the part of the fitting room we were in was warm, he was sweaty. He'll have you stand in your outfit and then you both go over what can be done. Then he will give you a receipt with claim number that you pay at the cashier. If you don't have alterations credit then it can cost upwards of $50+ Unfortunately the day before the promised time of pick up, I called to check and he was "only now" working on my alteration. Almost like he just remembered to do it, but it got done a week later eventually. read more

I come here a lot, but I rarely find anything. Organisation sucks! It is so terribly difficult to find things in the women's department. They also carry many broken clothes and clothing that should be thrown out due to stains. I would say the men's department and children's department are better because there are fewer items, so it is easier to find what you need. The people are nice, though. Music is hit or miss. The prices are okay IF you can find something. The last time I was there, I did feel uncomfortable because some lady brought in her dog. I don't know why they let the dog in. The same family also had a child who kept coughing a really deep cough. No mask and didn't cover their mouth. The workers did nothing. We know that most of us do come here for the shoes but they do have a great section for kids and accessories as well though I really wished the kitchen and bath section was a little bigger as they basically have a teeny shelf for each which strange enough is a great selection but don't we selfishly always wish for more. I went here last week because I had to return a top that I got for my birthday. I'm really disappointed with this store. Every time I go here, I always have such high hopes that I'm gonna buy a lot of things, but then I end up buying nothing. I walk in and I try to find things but I can't figure out how the store is organized. You know how department stores have it organized by size and style, it just doesn't seem that way here. I ended up walking around the whole store just because I couldn't figure out the sections. Plus the fact I had to find something to replace the top I was returning. I walked around so much and I only found one top. I found a few other things but the prices weren't that great. I definitely didn't think they were rack prices. I am disappointed on my recent visit on 01/11/20. I put 2 bags on hold under my name; a beige MCM shoulder bag and a gray large Longchamp bag. When I was ready to purchase it, the Longchamp bag was not at the checkout. The gentleman who brought the bags to the checkout looked and said that he placed it there in a corner and he pointed it to the other ladies at the checkout area. The female cashier was not apologetic. She asked a few other sales people to check if it was in the bag area and even asked me if they are looking for it? Really!?! I'm the customer. The female cashier looked around and couldn't find it and another female who I assume is the manager said she will double check. The female cashier said they were checking the "footage". A phone call happen about 10 minutes later and the female cashier turned around. My husband happened to see her facial reaction during the call. My husband shared that she gritted her teeth. The female cashier comes to me and said that she'll take my name and number and she will call me. I told the female cashier that I wanted them to "own up" to their mistake if someone accidentally sold it. I was disappointed overall with this experience and I also planned to purchase children shoes and possibly the MCM bag but after the incident, I told the female cashier that I will not be giving them my business today. read more

Nordstrom Rack is a great place to find brand name clothing, shoes, and other accessories and items at a lower price. I enjoyed shopping around at the Rack when it was across the street in the previous Office Max space. It was easy to find something. Now, I can't find anything! I have never found anything I liked and worth purchasing still. However, I can't say the same for my wife, mom, and female friends! Nordstrom Rack is at Ward Village, next to TJ Maxx. Both stores share a huge, multi-level parking garage. You can enter from street level, or the third level of the parking garage near the elevators or across the TJ Maxx entrance. The store is clean, spacious, and pretty organized. The sections are clearly marked. The customer service is mostly friendly and helpful. I don't feel the prices are THAT good. Sure, a few are good, especially when there's never a sale on those items at the regular department stores, but many items I've seen are available at Macy's and Nordstrom at an almost similar price, and when you include those savings coupons and other store specials from the department stores, the prices at Nordstrom Rack isn't THAT good. But the Rack is definitely a good place to find previous season and discontinued items because some times you like something at a department store only to find it gone because it's been discontinued, and you find it here! read more

Making the most of my excursion to Ward Warehouse, I had to stop into The Rack. I find the selection of here pretty good. Perhaps since mostly locals come here, it just seems there's better stuff. I always peek in the glass enclosed jewelry section. We a keen eye, you might find a great gem. Pun intended. I found a Movado watch, which I know retails for $1000. It's $300! It also never fails I end up buying too much "Omiyage" It is a Japanese term for gifts or souvenirs, usually edible local grindz. I don't like to pack food with my clothes in my suitcase, so I got a good Tumi check-in bag for about 2/3s off. I can stay here for hours! Loved this place ever since I discovered it through a gift card my old boss gave me. Nordstrom is already a high end store and with my budget I dare go in the store. I was very impressed with high end merchandise with very low prices. I always come here for gifts for my friends and coworkers. Everything is so organized, clothes, shoes, make up, etc. somethings if they have enough staff, they will ring up your merchandise on the floor, as long it's with a card. Nordstrom Rack is my favorite place to buy clothes in Hawaii. I have always had expensive taste combined with sensible Midwestern thriftiness. It is often difficult to find that balance in Hawaii between reasonable cost and high quality. Nordstrom Rack is one of the few places I've found that strikes that right balance. I shop at the Ward Village location the most often, but I also like the Nordstrom Rack in Waikiki. Both are well maintained and offer similar items. I've never been all that enamored with designer fashion, as I'm not a particularly flashy person, but I do love timeless fashion that is classy and relaxed. At this point, I've aged out of H&M and Forever 21 (shocking, I know), and my fashion preferences have become more sophisticated. At the same time, I still want to look youthful in a tasteful way with pieces that I can wear both at work and when I'm at a Yelp event. As I've gotten more mature, I also like to invest in better quality pieces that will last a long time. Nordstrom Rack has the same high-end clothing you'll find at Nordstrom right down the road at Ala Moana, but at amazing prices that won't break the bank. As I'm typing this, almost every piece of my wardrobe was bought at Nordstrom Rack at Ward Village: my Moschino sunglasses, suede jacket, and shell tank top. Every item that I bought was less than $100, some items less than $50. Anywhere else you'd have to pay over a hundred dollars for each item. This Nordstrom Rack also has a wide range of sizes from petite to plus size. Designer brands aren't well known for being inclusive of normal sized women, but I have found petite clothing in my size as well as designer clothing ranging from sizes 0 to 12, extra small to extra large. Non-designer clothing can be found that are well above a size 12. There are always a lot of clearance items, and I have found clothing up to 80% off the original price. When I brought my friend visiting from Seoul here, she went wild and bought Chanel sunglasses and Marc Jacobs purses that would have cost at least $500 more in South Korea. For tourists visiting from Asia, this is definitely the place to shop for all of those high-end brands that will cost a fortune back home. I cannot recommend this Nordstrom Rack enough for both residents and visitors. read more

Update: I got a response from Nordstrom Rack below. They were apologetic as you can read, but did not address my concern. My issue stands and was not resolved. The discount that I will get back from the clearance is going back to them anyway but I guess the bigger picture is not their concern.. I love shopping here, with deals on signature brands and pleasant employees. I have one problem just today with their new process on clearance and returns, which I haven't experienced in the past until today. Two days ago, I purchased some clearance items and today, got an email from them that clearance items have an additional 25% off. Since I only bought the item two days ago, I went back and asked for a price adjustment. Sadly I was turned down. I was told that they don't do price adjustments and if I return the item today, I will not be able to purchase the same item until the following day when the store opens (I think this is not a good policy). I have the item with me when I went there to ask for price adjustment. I was really disappointed since I drove all the way from Ewa Beach to the Kakaako store. I feel that the employees I spoke with in the return counter were not compassionate enough and they lack the proper communication to their customers regarding this process change. I was able to do the same thing in the past and whoever implemented this new process is hurting the brand and reputation of the store. Nonetheless, I still love going back to this and the Waikiki store but will be mindful regarding the next selling event. read more

Plus they have a huge selection in my size! Lots of parking, but hard to find stalls during the holiday seasons. The structure is shared with TJ Maxx and other shops and eateries.
