The second time, the item I ordered was too small. I looked around to see if I could exchange it for something else, but couldn't find anything, so I asked for a return. I was then told they couldn't process the return because it would take "about 30 minutes," and they asked me to come back the next day instead. On my third visit, I brought the return item back again, only to be told by the cashier that they couldn't process returns because "the system was down." Then the supervisor told me I should just return it by mail. I understand that technical issues and mistakes can happen. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of apology, empathy, or basic customer service throughout all of these interactions. No one seemed concerned about the inconvenience caused to customers. It's unfortunate because I truly love this brand, but this store's service has completely changed my impression.

It's also pretty spacious if you have a stroller. They have a variety of items -- clothes, workout attire, things for a baby to toddler sized, things for your animals, and accessories for your home, office, or car. The prints are unique and some are bold in color. They do have solid colors if that's what you prefer. Some of the clothes are true to size and some run a little large. It's always best to try it on in store. The quality of their clothes are great. I still have rompers and dresses from five years ago. The color doesn't fade and the wear of it is still the same.

Put it this way, the only print I would kind of consider wearing is the simple fish print in black, no other colors! And then next thing you know, there's also a baby section as well for my son! Having a baby changes you, I'll still thrift for my clothes, but I wouldn't mind getting my son the newest clothes from a locally owned, woman ran business. Also, I LOVE being able to text the store and reserve items, no driving all the way to find out it's not there! And the quality of the clothes is definitely there. Decided to buy a baby onesie for our family photos and another baby onesie for our friends who are pregnant. I know baby clothes don't last long, but I just couldn't help myself! I had passed by this batik shop many times in the past, but never went inside. Today, June 21, 2026, was their last day, so I walked in to look around. Note: they won't be receiving more inventory because of the tarrifs, one of the vendors retired, etc. Sally was an excellent sales associate. She knew the fabrics (cotton vs. linen vs. bamboo), the origins of the prints, the styles, etc. Sally briefly explained the intricate process of making batik fabric. Wow... she even showed me a pattern stamp and swatches. She really knew her stuff... because she's worked at Noa Noa for over 13 years! I got a couple of dresses because natural fibers - such as cotton - should be cooler to wear. (I'm perspiring more because it's summer now...) I walked in having no idea where to begin because there's so many beautiful garments to look at. I didn't have a style or color preference, I just knew I wanted to buy something nice. Aya politely asked me a few questions to narrow down the search. She then pointed out some of the different styles in my size. Together, we pulled a few dresses off the rack and Aya led me to a fitting room. Excitedly, I had four lovely dresses to try on. As I was in the fitting room, Aya politely offered information about the different fabrics, the variety of styles and sizes, she even explained the best method for gentle washing. When I came out of the dressing room without "the" dress speaking to me, Aya pointed out another rack that I had not yet browsed. Then BOOM, there it was! The color! The size! The fabric! The style! Winner, winner, Aya helped this beginner :) After trying it on and walking around the store in it, it was done. Mission accomplished thanks to Aya! Love my pretty new dress, Mahalo Aya :)

An organization I am a part of needed matching dresses and hawaiian shirts. We chose the style and material. Everyone just needed to get measured. We got put outfits and I was so happy with the the design. It even had pockets! For a custom made dress it was definitely worth the value. The seamstress has to cut the material then sew and the quality check. That is like 5 to 8 hours of work! I spent extra for pockets, so it was under $195. Ya we could have gone to Macys and picked matching dresses, but honestly the quality and design here will last longer. We have worn our dresses multiple times and have come back for more custom work for years. Overall I love the service and the selection. But most of all, I love that they can do custom designs :)

They allowed me to start a pile as I wanted to try on several sizes of the playsuit to get the right fit. I showed my uncle David a photo of the storefront after my visit and apparently my aunt Laura's niece owns Púa Blooms. Hope we can meet another time, that drink was the best matcha I've ever had. Would love to visit all of the Mahina shops and other local clothing stores on my next vacation.

Something new to wear…read more.. Mahina has made its way to Ala Moana Center 3rd level between Crazy Shirts and Louis Vuitton and I just happen to have found this lovely boutique. Filled with a bit of everything to complete your ensemble the vibe here is pretty light and fresh though basically for the younger crowd I did find the accessories simply cute and just had to grab a few items. The boutique is a bit on the smaller side though very organized and displayed nicely so even with a few other shoppers in there we all were able to browse with ease and I did pick up a few items which were placed in mesh bags was super cute and very reusable for gifts or even to conveniently tote around is something that I really love. Like the quote on their little chalkboard sign "Life isn't perfect but your outfit can be ;)" and with Mahina it sure can be. Thank you!
