Shopping at this Hawaii Kai location is so much better than other Costco locations on Oahu. Thankfully we live closer to this one and we don't have to deal with the congestion of town. You can actually find parking with ease and not endure the long lines! Somewhat near the Tire Center, this location has two EV charging parking stalls. As with other Costco locations on Oahu, you will find everything from electronics, home goods, produce, and flowers/plants. Of special note, this location has higher end items such as wagyu, caviar, and luxurious skin care products. Love it! We have always had great customer service here. Lately, we noticed employees scan our cart while waiting for the cashier, and that is how we complete our shopping transaction quicker. Such a wonderful touch! Wednesday January 28, 2026 Plenty parking. But, you have to wait for a parking stall. I ordered a Mocha Freeze. But, it was soft and needed 5 minutes more. The line was getting long really fast. Some come just for a single item I leave with items I had no intention of picking up though with the priced friendly option especially when you need more than what your regular shops have it is nice to have it at the price you can afford. This Hawaii Kai Towne Center location is nice as it's not as crowded but then again parking situation here is very minimal since it is shared with many other biz in the area. They frequently have their book sale which makes it even more affordable while I like though since this isn't my regular location finding items was a bit more of struggle but with large signage makes it easier for find what you need. ' It's just too bad that this area doesn't have the Costco Gasoline Station and hope that there will possible be one in the future but they do have their food court that we all love to enjoy along with many other services as well. We love to stop into Costco when we're visiting Hawaii. It's a great spot to grab some easy snacks and supplies for the trip and of course gifts to take home. We had a fun time browsing the store and it was very similar to the variety of items we have at home in California. We ended up picking up a couple items that we could use during the trip, but were didn't find anything from the local items that we wanted to bring home as gifts- we felt other locations on different Islands (Maui/Big Island) had better selections of local items. Although it could have been just the timing of our visit. Overall great value, easy to navigate, and a perfect spot to pick up bulk items or essentials like sunscreen. read more

There's a long line before opening on a Sunday. They have a lot of beach gear which is great. The food court is outside and it was probably one of the worst chicken bakes I've ever eaten. The bread still tasted very doughy and the chicken filling tasted disgusting. I've been eating them for 20+ years and always finished them. I ate this one half way and had to throw it away! 2 out of 3 soda machines had no ice. The Pepsi came out warm. read more

We've shopped at many Costco in the continental US and the Hawaii Kai location is the most busiest. The store is clean and the shelves are well stocked. The local products available are fantastic that's not available anywhere else on the mainland. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful to our needs. ***This long overdue review is for Costco's Hearing Aid Center.*** About 9 years ago, I had a medical issue & upon getting treated, I lost most of my hearing on my right side. Although it's a bummer that I am partially deaf now, on da bright side, at least I am alive & not dead! Buwahahahahahaha! At first when my hearing went out, I originally thought I had water in my ear, or maybe a build up of wax in the ear. Upon talking with my primary doctor, and trying some over the counter stuff, of course it didn't help my situation, so I ended up seeing a ENT = ear nose throat doctor. Unfortunate for me, after going through some light surgery to try & restore my hearing, the surgery wasn't successful, and now I'm partially deaf. What to do? Costco Hearing Aid Center my friends. Yes, if you go to the Hawaii Kai Costco, they have a hearing aid center and I was fortunate enough to get some help from a wonderful audio clerk named - Scott. I've had my hearing aid for just over 5 years now, and only now I finally ran into an issue with my hearing aid, as it broke. Today, I went back to Costco Hawaii Kai to see what my options were, for my hearing aid dilemma. Unfortunately Scott is not longer working at Costco hearing aid center, but I was fortunate enough to have Victoria help me today, as she was able to fix my hearing aid in less than 15 minutes. I originally thought I'd have to shell out another $1500 for a new hearing aid, but I guess the issue was very fixable. I am very grateful for Costco's hearing aid center, and of course 5 stars to Victoria for the great service! The road and entrances leading up to this Costco location need some work. Potholes and uneven roads galor. Parking lot also needs some work. Awkward, not enough stalls, not enough cart returns, and all the roads are two-way so expect some traffic. The store itself is arranged like any other Costco. Impressive things include their liquor availability (wines, vodkas, and endless spirits), their snack selection, and their cosmetics. Checkout lines were long yet quick! Sadly I live on the West side so this Costco is located on the opposite side of the island for us. So I usually shop at the Waipio store and sometimes the Iwilei one, but this Costco seems to be the most posh, with higher end items such as whole leg of Iberico ham with slicer that are either not available or available only in limited quantities at the other stores. If I'm in the neighborhood I try to visit this store, and bring a cooler packed with extra ice just in case I find hidden treasures. read more

Costco is shopping on steroids. Executive members can get in an hour early at 9 a.m. (I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like the only way to dodge the parking madness). Inside you'll find everything--TVs, glasses and eye exams, hearing aids, appliances, bulk foods, alcohol, pastries, steaks, and yes, even those giant Halloween skeletons for your lawn. There's a whole section of chocolate macadamia nuts perfect for omiyage, plus great deals on gift cards. Parking fills up fast, and with no windows inside, you'll lose track of time--but it's bright and well-organized. Downside: bulk produce can be hit or miss. I've brought home my share of bad fruit and veggies, so check the bags before buying. Oh and there's the Costco Travel! Great vacation deals! On the side of the store, there's the famous--pizza, sundaes, chicken bakes, and the legendary $1.50 hot dog combo. Best part? *This review is for the food court only. Costco recently started selling a massive double chocolate chunk cookie for $2.49. It's all over social media and after seeing a review from Fran C. I had to check it out. The cookie was indeed huge and served warm. It was slightly crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It wasn't as sweet as I. thought it would be and had a decent amount of chocolate chunks in there. I would definitely get it again. We also got a chocolate ice cream sundae for $2.49. Being from the mainland there are a lot of Costco stores available to us, however the aloha is felt and seen here at this Costco which I appreciate. Best Costco on Oahu. This Costco has continually had the best samples of any Costco, consistently serving freshly made sushi and ice cream bars (although they didn't have those today). Parking lot is crowded but not nearly as bad as the other Costcos on the island. One of the best locations I have been to. This Costco is located east of Honolulu, away from the busy tourist area. Here you can leisurely shop and browse through merchandise at a slow pace. The location is awesome, next to the marina by the bay and overlooks the picturesque mountains. I was able to find lots of souvenirs to take back home to California. read more

This has to be the least craziest Costco on the island in terms of crowds. Lucky for me, it's the closest one to my residence. Don't get me wrong... weekends are a hot mess! Good luck in grabbing a parking spot and getting through the long lines at the cashier. However if you're able to go on a weekday, it's easier to navigate through the store and the checkout lines are less busy. What I love most about Costco on the island are the local items that they offer, such as Portuguese sausage, poke, arare, Island Princess honey-roasted mac nuts, choco mochi, Hamakua mac nut brittle, Honolulu Cookie Company mini bites, sweet potato & taro chips, furikake shrimp chips and kamaboko dip. These are a few of my favorite things, and it's what makes Costco in Hawaii unique to those on the mainland. Aside from offering the local snacks and items at a reasonable price, the rest of the store and products are comparable to Costco on the mainland. If you're in the Hawaii Kai area, it's well worth coming to this location. This particular store is clean and organized, and while I typically dread going to Costco in general, I actually look forward to my adventures at this location. I was happy I found it because my next stop would have been Sams club . I called to return a membership that was of no use being that Costco NEVER has what I need such as half & half, heavy whipping cream, waffles, salad, etc... Sam's club ALWAYS has what I need, they offer 'scan & go' which means you can scan and pay without having to go through any lines/registers, and their membership is HALF the cost. Their gas stations rarely ever has lines longer than 2-3 cars and things are much smoother TRAVIS REFUSED the return after calling and explaining then being told to come right down to return the expensive membership. On a recent shopping spree at Costco, I had heartwarming experience. My legs weren't up to par, so I decided to use one of the electric shopping carts provided by Costco. During my journey thru the aisles, my cart started to give me problems.. When I stopped to pick up an item and started to go, it just sat there for a moment or two. After my seventh stop, I statered going but I had to stop because of foot traffic. Well, the cart decided to quit . And now, I'm stuck in the middle of the aisle . A good samaritan asked if I needed help. The young woman went off looking for someone to help me. A few minutes later, a Costco worker arrived. I explained what had happened with the cart. It didn't take much time he was back with another cart. He then transferred the items from my cart to the one he bought. There are two Costcos in Honolulu... Why would I drive 35 minutes to the one in Hawaii Kai versus 21 minutes to the one in Iwilei? Moon cakes On Tuesday, my friend, Angel, was describing the moon cakes at Costco. She said that they were quite good and really inexpensive compared to the ones in Chinatown. Some of the moon cakes even had double egg yolks! Wow... That's like premium quality! I had to go get some! By the time I had a chance to go to Costco, it was Thursday - and they were all sold out at the Iwilei location. I walked all around the warehouse and finally asked the floor staff about the moon cakes. They looked on the computer and said that there were only a few boxes in stock. Nevermind. A couple of days later, my mom said that my cousin told her that he just went to the Hawaii Kai Costco and they had "a lot" of moon cakes. I thought, "Wow... I'd better go now before they run out!" Along the way, I picked up my friend (she lives by Kahala Mall). She turned out to be useful because she knew exactly which driveway to use to be closest to the entrance of Costco. She also knew which exit would allow me to turn left to get back onto Kalanianaole Highway! Yay! That parking lot at Hawaii Kai Towne Center is like a maze! Anyway, we found parking pretty quickly. This Costco isn't crazy busy like that Iwilei one. Thank goodness! We found the moon cakes in the front where the snacks are. We passed by the clothing, coffee, vitamins, and paper goods areas, then looked for oranges in the produce section - none - sold out! Argggg! They also didn't have Propel Water. Uhg! I did find Hello Kitty noodles, ginseng drink, and hami melon. The noodles were yummy and the drink was okay. I'll wait a while to cut up the melon. Overall, it was a productive visit. If I'm on that side of the island, I'll take a look. My sister thinks that the Iwilei location is better stocked. Haha! Oh - and I did get a box of assorted moon cakes.
