My husband visited this store recently while in town, traveling for work. He said the store was large, well kept, with a huge assortment. He did say that parking was not the best, however. He was able to find some unique and interesting items that he probably would not have found at a store similar to this, back home. Everything is priced very reasonably for what you get. If you're looking for a store, that's not your average souvenir shop, where you can spend a little time looking at a bunch of different stuff, give this place a try!

I just love that Daiso is located on the corner of Piikoi and Young Street. The entrance of the parking lot is on Young Street before hitting Piikoi. It's a small lot but you can wait on Young Street and the attendant will let you in once spaces open up! You usually do Not have to wait long as there are 3 standby spaces in the lot. Plus, people seemed to shop quickly! Don't forget your own bags! I try to shop regularly as you never know when new merchandise comes in?! You don't want to miss out on anything especially if you see it Now, you need to buy it then cause it may not be there next time you go!! So I went on Thursday and saw these cute blue and yellow vases with this inscription: "Smiling brings happiness! It's a beautiful day and I have a feeling that something wonderful will happen." Went back Friday morning and bought all of them for only $1.75 each! What a deal! Even Faye the cashier (#6986) thought so. She is so nice, friendly and personable! She is amazing because she even went to check in store room if there were more?! Low and behold, she brought 2 boxes full with 10 each ( 5 blue & 5 yellow) Perfect!! Blake, is also amazing! He patiently packed the ones on the shelf with bubble wrap!! He told me that he purchased sake cups for his wedding favors! Now, what guy cares about wedding favors?! So nice, friendly and personable too! I hope I remembered their names correctly because they are so helpful! Kudos to them both! Thanks a million!!!

I was familiar with Daiso in Japan, but this was my first visit to Daiso here on the island. Turning left into the parking lot from Piikoi side of Young St. was not allowed and the lot was full at the time, but the attendant navigated all the cars waiting, so it was well organized. The store was not that big and I couldn't find what I was looking for, but they had decent selections and many people would probably find this place useful. As for the price, it was more expensive than the one in Japan. However, it was still cheap compared to other stores here. Definitely worth checking out.

Almost all products are sold at a price of less than 2 dollars, and are of good quality. Some are $2 or more, but the price is not expensive. But the quality is all good. I believe that this store sells products that many women wish to have. The items change depending on the season, so I go there regularly.

Aloha Auinalā. \000/....my lil Shopping Adventure from yesterday @Daiso Hawai'i Store in town, on Piikoi St. Love our Hawai'i Daiso, I mean who doesn't?? Although this location I really thought had they had "Shopping Carts", but they don't, BOOO! Haha! I haven't been to this Daiso for awhile now, but it's actually fine with me that you grab a "Shopping Basket" as soon as you enter in this location & start your Daiso Shopping, Whoo Huuu :). Lol! I'm glad that this Store wasn't Super Crowded yesterday (*9/12/2022*), Whew, && you actually have time to browse for whatever you Heart desires to buy in here @Daiso Hawai'i. I came in looking just for a few items, their are So much things to see in this Daiso Location (Imo) (@*1024 Piikoi Street*), that till this day I haven't gotten a chance to go down each & every single Isle yet! Lol. That's one of my goals here in our Hawai'i Daiso, is to browse & go down each & every Aisles! Lol. This *Daiso* @Piikoi St., Hi is a clean Store!!! Helpful workers here, Mahalo Nui *Daiso Hi*. From every size plastic Containers, Japanese Ceramic Bowls, Hair Accessories, Japanese Snacks/Chips/Candies, Disney Stuffs too & so much more things that you will see in any *Daiso Stors* I'm sure, & don't forget to check out the, "Hello Kitty" Section too, which btw, you are only allowed to purchase (5) items of anything Hello Kitty per day, which makes total sense to me, that gives everyone else a chance to pick up Hello Kitty Cute Stuffs!! I got stuck in Hello Kitty section today (lol!), it was so much Fun choosing my (5) items & (5) items more, since my Hubby was also in the Store picking up a few items too. It's very easy to choose (10) Hello Kitty items in this Store!! So, if you've never been to our *Daiso Hawai'i* Stores, this is a must see Store, filled with Tons & Tons of nick knacks which range from $1.75, & up, if you see other numbers on items, this Store has this price list that you just need to refer back to for a particular price, etc. If an item says 200 Yen = $3.00, etc, again just refer back to that chart that is pretty much provided all over in the Store in each Isle. This is a Happy place to Shop. Why yes, they even sell lots of different Reusable "Cute" tote bags & our Hawai'i Daiso Reusable Bags also, pick up 1 or 2 or more like me meeeeee!! They are great for gifts, (to put gifts inside these bags) especially our Hawai'i Daiso Reusable *Shopping Bags* are Pretty Cute. I'm glad that I didn't buy 10+ more ea. of the Hawai'i Daiso Reusable Shopping Bags like I did in the past, when our 1st Hawai'i Store opened in Hawai'i in the Pearl City area, I mean again these Hi Daiso Bags do did come in handy when I wanted to share them for gifts for my *Mainland Ohana* & also to put Mele Kalikimaka gifts in them. This time around, I only picked up a few of our Hawai'i Daiso Reusable Shopping Bags, Whew, I'm sure my Hubby was a Happy Camper! Haha! Lastly, the prkg lot is not the biggest here, doable, but they still have a few ppl/Workers outside to control the the prkg traffic at times, especially during the Weekends & Holidays, etc. Parking for us today was a breeze, luckily they had parking Stalls available when we arrived, Hip, Hip Hooray, we Scored!! Yayyy! Lol Can't wait to go back again to our Daiso Store here in Hawai'i & see what else kind of stuffs that I may need & or what I may not need, but will still buy them for, $1.75, that's a great deal! Cheers! Heehee! Aloha!

Check out counters always have yummy stuff to get before checking out

Always filled and clean and the personnel is always nice. The only complaint I can have is that their parking is horrible. I like everything there and I have to refrain myself from buying one of each at that store. Take cash. That's all you'll spend. Lol

    Japanese dishes! So inexpensive.

Going to Daiso is a little treat I give myself when I have some time and I'm so glad there is one now in Honolulu. I never park in the parking lot but go during the day and park on the left side of Piikoi Street on metered street parking. I always find a bag full of things that call out to me: little sauce dishes, small handcloths, washi tape, tablets, cooking tools I may never use. The best part is that when Ieave I usually have not spent more than $20! Of course the inventory always changes (and they carry different things than the Daiso in Seattle across from Uwaijimaya that I tend to frequent) but then that's the joy of browsing the aisles.

There were so many delicious options OUTSIDE the store that I almost never made it in. From handrolls featuring the freshest seafood from Hokkaido to wagyu kushiyaki and more, my mouth was watering seeing it all beautifully displayed in the windows, and I'm surprised no one said anything about my gawking. Don Q is such a fun store because they have anything and everything you can think of across nearly every category. If I said they're like the Japanese Walmart, it wouldn't hit quite right because the quality and breadth of the selections here are far better. My favorite part of visiting Don Q has to be the incredible array of Asian specialty ingredients and snacks they sell and the reasonable prices. I picked up some gifts here including some exceptional styles of furikake and togarashi, but saw way too many other things I wanted. They also have amazing prepared foods here, specifically Japanese items. There's an entire sushi counter featuring all cuts of bluefin and more, freshly made onigiri, great selection of bentos and and poké too! You really owe it to yourself to visit!

I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! High end stores, high end restaurants and other great things like art exhibits. Now that I live in California, I do visit Oahu every two years. At the time when we came here in 2019, we went to a photography exhibit by National Geographic. Now this is something I enjoy. I think tourists could enjoy it too and bring in the modernized look for Waikiki. I have been on the fence about the traditional vendors over these overpriced high end stores. I look at it in a business perspective. Hawaii drives its economy through tourism. We are in the United States of America and you got major cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles and such. It's competing for more tourists to come to Hawaii. I hate to say this but Hawaii versus Miami? You got people with money that spend at high end stores. People now look at Waikiki like you're shopping on Rodeo Drive. Well if this is what attracts tourists - so be it to help the economy. It is a shame that it has to be this way to survive in this economy. The workers in Waikiki have pride in their job and make an honest living in an expensive state. I do miss the old International Marketplace. It was nice seeing vendors sell things.

Price wise some items I have scored for really cheap - cheaper than swap meet prices. Examples are clothing on the clearance rack. Scored items as low as $4.99! Customer service here is decent. They are helpful with assistance if needed. So the items you will find here "Hawaiian" based - are keychains, deck of cards, boxed christmas cards, boxed cards, hawaiian attire sets for man/woman/child, bathing suits, pareos (swim wraps), hawaiian dresses, hawaiian male shirts, tote bags, lunch boxes, luggage tags and straps, neck pillows, quilt sets / blankets, ornaments, snacks, hawaiian car solar boppers (ex: hawaiian hula girl), puzzles, 3d lego like small toys, stuffies / plushies, jewelry (wood, earrings, bracelets, necklaces) , mugs, luggages were the items I saw while my stay. This is a 2 story store the restrooms are upstairs - which is btw clean. The dressing dept staff stated that the store manager checks on the restrooms every hour for cleanliness. They charge for bags here when you purchase items - be mindful. So make sure you bring your reusable bags or you will be charged for bags. They are a sort of warehouse type store where things are on shelves stacked all over the store. However, everything is organized and the owner knows exactly what he has and where it's at. So, if there is something you are looking for, just ask! Most of their items are new, although they do have some slightly used items. (But most things are brand new) The prices here are great! My son picked up a wireless keyboard and mouse for $20! Brand new in the box. We found them online for $65 minimum!! They also have a large number of bikes of all kinds and sizes, kids ride on toys, baby items, patio furniture, home decor, and small kitchen appliances. You name it, they probably have it. If not, just ask and the owner will try and get it for you. They get new merchandise in regularly so it's worth stopping in to see what's new. They have a great page on Facebook that shows a lot of what they have as well as new arrivals. I highly recommend you come check them out for yourself or give them a call if there is something specific you are looking for.
