This place is currently under renovation. There are some workers working somewhere & I had no idea what they're working. Well..... When you visit there website they advertise really exciting events & how great this place is. But when you step there, it's the definition of "Expectation vs Reality". Always packed! Parking a car is tough. Narrow parking space & homeless just come & go & worst they'll just shout on you (most of the time makes me startled). A world of cuisines! Bozu jap restaurant, carp dori, coffee or tea?, curry house coco ichibanya, fook yuen chi restaurant, hot pot, osaka teppanyaki, oh my grill, pho 777, taco bell & thai lao. The newest specialty store is coming too! Edible Cookie Dough Cafe. Additional store on the neighborhood! More cookie cookie cookie treat! They also got shops & services in here like massage spa & nail salon. Oh by the way, they got 7/11 in here too! Ain't my favorite place to look around for food but sure this will be great if they manage to make the parking space wider a bit & if they have mitigation of the chaos on traffic made from taco bell drive thru. Can be overwhelming at times, especially during rush hours! Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yelpers!

    Great result ...

I actually come to the McCully Shopping center mall quite often........... Most times when I come here, I come here to pick up something to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants. This little strip mall has a nice mixture of eateries, as well as stores & services. Some of the food joints located at this mall - 1. Fook Yuen Chinese Restaurant 2. Thai Lao 3. Regal Diner & Regal Donut 4. Hot Pot Heaven 5. Taco Bell 6. 7-Eleven 7. Coffee or Tea 8. Curry House Coco Ichibanya 9. Snow Factory 10. Kiyoto Ramen Yotteko-Ya 11. Pho 777 12. Ireh Restaurant 13. Bozu Japanese Restaurant 14. Osaka Teppanyaki Kawano And if your looking for shops & services, there are a few here - 1. Fantastic Sams 2. Hakuyosha Cleaners 3 The Face Shop 4. 662 Ride Shop 5. State Farm Insurance 6. VIP Nails 7. K's Salon 8. Edward Jones 9. Clips Hawaii 10. United International Travel 11. H&R Block For a small strip mall, I gotta say it has a lot of wonderful businesses that appeals to the local & tourist crowds. Parking here can be challenging, as the mall does pretty good business. There is uncovered parking in the front of the mall, but if that's full.........then you should check out the secret parking garage (I won't tell you where it is)..........that's why it's a secret! Lol!

Because I live on the Windward side of Oahu, I don't visit McCully Shopping Center too often. It's located on Kapiolani Boulevard between McCully Street and Pumehana Street. When I did live in Honolulu, I went to Fook Yuen (Chinese cuisine) on the upper level of this two-story building and enjoyed the buffet. I also had gone to the Thai restaurant and Snow Factory. 7-Eleven is still there, as well as Taco Bell which is a separate building. There's a parking lot in the front with two entrances: one on McCully Street and one on Pumehana Street. Personally, I prefer the covered parking which is under the building - enter from Pumehana Street. The stalls seem to be a bit wider than the stalls in the open lot. Another good thing about parking downstairs is that there's an Elevator next to the spaces designated for Persons with Disabilities. I kind of like this shopping center because it has a variety of restaurants (pho, milk tea, hot pot, etc.) and businesses such as a travel agency, a nail salon, and The Face Shop (Korean line of cosmetics and skin care). There is a restroom on the upper floor. If you are a customer, just ask for the key...

High end stores, high end restaurants and other great things like art exhibits. Now that I live in California, I do visit Oahu every two years. At the time when we came here in 2019, we went to a photography exhibit by National Geographic. Now this is something I enjoy. I think tourists could enjoy it too and bring in the modernized look for Waikiki. I have been on the fence about the traditional vendors over these overpriced high end stores. I look at it in a business perspective. Hawaii drives its economy through tourism. We are in the United States of America and you got major cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles and such. It's competing for more tourists to come to Hawaii. I hate to say this but Hawaii versus Miami? You got people with money that spend at high end stores. People now look at Waikiki like you're shopping on Rodeo Drive. Well if this is what attracts tourists - so be it to help the economy. It is a shame that it has to be this way to survive in this economy. The workers in Waikiki have pride in their job and make an honest living in an expensive state. I do miss the old International Marketplace. It was nice seeing vendors sell things.
