    A plaza in the market

Good place for discount shopping TJ Maxx in Nordstrom rack are here nice area to just chill and grab a snack ! It is little confusing Where are the entrances to each one of the stores are. For example, Nordstrom entrance is on the second floor at TJ Maxx. Entrance is on the third floor. Elevators are a little slow but very spacious.

There's a parking structure attached to this shopping mall. Shopping center by our lunch spot today, nice for a walk and browse after some bites. Nice cool underground feel to the first floor.

It's the little things that really counts... South Shore Market is a branch in the Ward Gateway area so judging them in it's lack of tenants is quite unfair considering majority of their spots are filled with great places like Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, T.J Max, Scratch Kitchen, CorePower Yoga and several unique local shops I just adore. This spot did add more parkings that the condo has taken and I know no one is opposed to the indoor air conditioning with several seatings both in and outdoors it's a fantastic hidden gem to take a breather and of course the convenience of a clean maintained bathroom. My visit today was really to do a photo shoot for a bangle I made for a friend and since the Ward Gateway area is surrounded by beautiful greenery and decor I really needed that for inspiration. Aloha is everywhere in all sizes, thank you!!

Theres a few different places to grab food, drinks and merchandise. Today I went and they had an event going on with different booths and businesses selling homemade items. It was really cute! I didn't purchase anything except for these mini donuts which was ok. Wouldn't buy it again but its good to try! Parking lot is pretty big. It does get busy though. And the ramps going up and down the parking lot are a bit tight just watch the sides of your car. Even if the parking lot gets busy, I haven't had any trouble finding parking. Just gotta be patient. There was alot of different stores in the area as well as in the market. South shore market is in the main level, level 1. There is public restroom that is kept decent. If you're in the area. Check it out! Shop, eat or grab a drink! There is also a play ground across the street, pretty good. My kids love to go there! I park in the parking lot grab a coffee, sit and watch them play for an hour. Great place to pass time.

Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii... Recently, I've noticed how much I like this little shopping center called "South Shore Market". Why??? PARKING: free and COVERED! Your car stays cool in the summer and dry when it's raining! BOUTIQUE SHOPS: "eden in love" is very popular. La Muse and Mahina are noteworthy. STORES: T.J. Maxx and Nordstrom Rack offer some good discounts EATERIES: Lucy's Lab Creamery is one of my favorites. I also like The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Scratch Kitchen & Meatery, Brick Oven Pizza, Nalu Health Bar & Cafe, and Off The Wall Craft Beer & Wine. ENVIRONMENT: Clean; air conditioned; spacious aisles; several entrances; artsy murals; beautiful hanging mobiles; twinkly lights; a gorilla sculpture; a green, living wall; and a convenient restroom! I will be back soon!

Located in Kaka'ako area South Shore Market is a place dedicated for local vendors & retailers. Mostly a collection of boutiques. If you're into fashion, you could find something great in here. There were also eateries like off the wall craft beer & wine, scratch kitchen & meatery, the coffee bean & tea leaf, lucy's lab creamery & brick oven pizza. Also, T.J. Maxx & Nordstrom Rock is also here. My favorite place to go & grab some goodies. We're talking good discounts in here! Air conditioned indoor market with simple with a hint of minimalist interior design. What's not to love this place? Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yelpers! @hello.juanderbandit www.juanderbandit.world

Great place to meet friends for a drink. We do our church discipleship meetups here weekly. Quiet environment to get together. Replaced the Border's Bookstore study vibe back in the 2000s in town.

I thought South Shore Market was an actual supermarket until today. According to my friend, this building was supposed to be a Whole Foods Market, but the discovery of human remains during construction delayed the project, so Whole Foods built at another location a block away. The building was completed regardless. THE MARKET: The end result is a mini indoor mall that is occupied by about 20 locally-owned shops and eateries, a segment that'll never get old in this vibrant, foodie city. There is a small section of communal tables & chairs inside, along with a few outdoor ones, but they're unprotected from the elements. PARKING: A small garage provides complimentary parking, shared with nearby businesses Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Pier 1 and others, EXPERIENCE: Our friend wanted to check out one of the clothing stores here, so we followed suit. I was happy to see that a biz I had bookmarked for a while, Lucy's Lab Creamery, was here too, so I finally got to try them. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. OVERALL: An excellent use of space that was divided up to bring in more businesses to the area.

With all of the new condo construction in the Ward/Kakaako area, it's nice to see a space dedicated to retail shops and eateries. South Shore Market looks modern hipster with a cool Hawaii vibe. I love the clean look that is not too sterile and still encourages people to linger and socialize. It's refreshing to see small retailers carrying specialty items. In many ways it reminds me of Ward Warehouse in the early days. I was happy to see Lucy's Creamery and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The little market (adjacent to CB&TL) is also very well stocked. I wish we had something like this near our place! The beautiful long wood table with chairs and a green plant wall is my favorite part of the entire market. It's just lovely! I truly hope the shops and eateries not just survive but thrive! Its's a superb concept and a lovely addition to this area! I know I'll be back!

I am not sure why people are calling this a "mall" because the name of this place is South Shore MARKET. A Market, not a mall! When I think of a mall, I think of a place like Pearlridge or Kahala Mall, but, on the other hand, when I think of a market, I think of a lot of food places, some places to buy vegetables and plants and maybe lots of dead fish on wooden pallets, like Tsukiji Fish Market, or maybe Pike Place Market where they throw fish and people chant like maniacs to see them being tossed. This market is in it's infancy, so it still has lots of time to grow. Currently the stores in this market are mostly wabi-sabi type stores with merchandise that's cool, hip, and pricey for indie hipsters living the urban town life. There are a few food places: Lucy's Lab Creamery, Brick Oven Pizza, Nalu Health Bar and Cafe, Big Island Delights and Coffee, Bean and Tea Leaf but nothing outstanding to make you come exclusively to this location, unless you are patronizing the big box stores like TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack and Pier One. The place looks sterile and industrial but it has a really nice vertical garden wall with ferns and other plants in one of the common areas. I think SSM will attract first-timers and customers who are used to patronizing a favorite coffee shop like Coffee, Bean and Leaf but for someone like me that's just curious, it was a one-time visit to try Lucy's Lab Ice Cream. I will, continue, however, to shop at the places I always go: TJ Maxx, Pier One and occasionally Nordstrom Rack.

Burgers and things at the new wave Friday outdoor market

This Review is for the New Wave Friday Indoor/Outdoor event that takes place here every 2nd Friday of the month it starts approx 5p-9p. I was totally blown away by how cool it was! Highly recommend family friendly and pet friendly. Parking: In south shore market lot where Nordstrom rack is, ward center parking lot, street parking, Biki bike rack is right there or Uber. There were approx 10 food/desserts booths set up which included Burgers and Things, Gyozilla, Big City Diner, Mailes Thai, Pig and a Lady, shari's sweets, watanabe bakery, bao boys, Gazoz, Ice Honolulu nd a few others. There was even a beer/wine garden for the adults. The other vendors there sold handmade jewelry, organic sunscreen, vintage clothing, bathing suits from Maui, boutique clothing, children's wear, plants, and even music and records! There was something for everyone. Most vendors can also take credit cards but some were cash only so bring cash just in case. Live Music was playing outside and the crowd was a great mix of families, couples and people that live in the surrounding areas. I am giving this 5 stars because inside south shore market there were other cool vendors that were doing henna designs, balloons for kids, face painting, photo booths, and even pictures of your eyeballs by Mori Art and flea. Toyota was giving away a ton of free goodies by taking a quick survey we took home a free flask! After enjoying the Wagyu burger from burger and things we had some ice cream from Lucy's Creamery and it was the perfect way to end the night. Great event to check out every 2nd Friday!!

This is a great place to shop and support local businesses. Location: It's located on the Diamond Head of Ward Village, on the corner of Auahi Street and Queen Lane. It's in the same building as TJ Maxx. Parking: They share a lot with TJ Maxx. Stores: Several stores were not open on the Grand Opening Day. Stores that I purchased items from: 1. Big Bad Wolf- Trendy Kids Attire 2. Big Island Delights-Gift Shop offering cookies, party favors, party mix, jerky and other treats. My favorite treat from here is the crispy bagel. 3. Cameron Hawaii- Offers beach theme attire, bags, and accessories. 4. Eden in Love- A boutique for women that sells clothes, accessories, bags, jewelry, etc. This store often donates a portion of their proceeds to local charities. Other Stores that are currently open: 5. Fishcake Pop-up 6. Flotsam & Co. 7. Kealopiko 8. Mori 9. Salvage Public Stores Coming Soon: 10. Holoholo Market & Cafe 11. La Muse 12. Lucy's Lab Creamery- This will be their new location. Adult as well as kid friendly made in house ice cream. 13. Nalu Health Bar & Café 14. Scratch Kitchen & Meatery 15. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf 16. Brick Oven Pizza 17. Twin Islands I can't wait to visit again and check out the other shops that will be opening.

High end stores, high end restaurants and other great things like art exhibits. Now that I live in California, I do visit Oahu every two years. At the time when we came here in 2019, we went to a photography exhibit by National Geographic. Now this is something I enjoy. I think tourists could enjoy it too and bring in the modernized look for Waikiki. I have been on the fence about the traditional vendors over these overpriced high end stores. I look at it in a business perspective. Hawaii drives its economy through tourism. We are in the United States of America and you got major cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles and such. It's competing for more tourists to come to Hawaii. I hate to say this but Hawaii versus Miami? You got people with money that spend at high end stores. People now look at Waikiki like you're shopping on Rodeo Drive. Well if this is what attracts tourists - so be it to help the economy. It is a shame that it has to be this way to survive in this economy. The workers in Waikiki have pride in their job and make an honest living in an expensive state. I do miss the old International Marketplace. It was nice seeing vendors sell things.

I usually enter from King Street because I know that I should slow down when I'm near the Old Stadium Park (on the right side of the road) which is across the street from Old Stadium Square. If you haven't visited Old Stadium Square, chances are that you will be able to find some good eats here when you do visit!

Many tenants has been here for years before my knowledge like Golden Eagle Chinese Restaurant my absolute go to for a quick convenient bite, also Fresh Bites, Lunar Tea, Niu Softserve Parlour, Aloha Vietnamese Foods just to name a few...saying goodbye to a few like India Bazaar Madras Curry, Sweet Home Cafe, Cocina de Roja and welcome newbie Thai Village. Parking here is decent thought you need to be aware and plan your visit during peak time and some are reserved so you must read and be careful parking in certain stalls as the Diamond Head building has a second floor with certain offices that has some reserved stall. Some 20 minutes stalls are super convenient for a quick dash in for some boba tea *yum!* and with a little patience you really don't have a problem parking here as in the evening the street parkings are available as well. Keeping the old as they welcome the new is a way to preserve some of the history Moili'ili has and it's truly a gift. Thank you!

Parking can be tough, and Uber is usually the easiest way to get around if you're hopping between spots. I've parked at the Honolulu Zoo before and walked everywhere I wanted to go, which works... until I get a little lazy and tired . I do wish they offered some kind of bike, scooter, or cart experience to make getting around easier. Full transparency: this review is coming from someone who isn't super fit, so walking can be tiring but despite that, I absolutely love the experience here. The nightlife is so fun, the live music is always a vibe, and I love the bubbles floating around at night. I enjoy wandering into shops to window shop (and sometimes actually buy things), and yes, I still smile every time I see a bunch of ABC Stores lined up. I fell in love with them when I first moved here. I don't come around as often anymore since I live on the west side of the island, but whenever I'm in the area, I really enjoy it. Walking around, taking pictures, seeing the beach, and just playing tourist never gets old.

Our hotel was situated on Lewers Street and I greatly enjoyed being on such a bustling street with good eats, high-end shopping, and lots of art & culture. They even have a free art gallery, frequent pop-ups of booths that sells local goods, and other fun and free entertainment. What really stood out to me was how easy it is to just wander here. No strict plan needed. One minute you're browsing locally made jewelry or handcrafted souvenirs, and the next you're drawn in by live music drifting through the open-air walkways. It feels lively without being overwhelming, like the perfect balance of energy and ease that Waikiki does so well. It also has that effortless day-to-night transition. During the day, it's bright, breezy, and great for a casual stroll or a quick bite between beach time. By evening, the whole area softens into something a little more magical: Music, people lingering longer, and the gentle breeze giving your nighttime stroll that movie magic. It's the kind of place where you say, "just one quick walk," and somehow end up staying for hours.
