Ok... so Kaneohe BRED & BORN so when I say this place changed... IT CHANGED! Too bad they don't have the fountain and mcd's and tilt! Those were the most memorable places because they had AKSHON! Cosmic candies was another memorable spot! I think when they closed down, that's when the mall changed! Afterwards, kids grew up, adults got angrier, teens dispersed and Kaneohe no longer was FAMILY! It opened up to a new generation. Yet, they still have this mall. Constant changes, new businesses every 3-5 years. None that sticks around. Only a handful didn't leave. Let's hope this place can become a family place again. read more

Came by this neighborhood mall after we picked up some Adela's and some fresh poke so we could eat at the food court and walk it off shopping afterwards. They had a nice amount of shopping options but we actually spent quite a bit of time at the indoor farmers market they had today. I have been here before I had my baby and to me it was just another mall. But now omg it has become my favorite. Imo it's even better than pearlridge. I love that they have a mini playground for kids to play for free. It's a heaven for parents! There are many restaurants to choose from. What a relaxing mall this is! Been here twice since this writing but it feels like my first time. I am not really familiar with this mall but my impression was that this mall is really promising. Love how it's not crowded & busy in here. Maybe because it's in the middle of the day on weekdays? Anyhow, this could be a great shopping mall. I love that Windward Mall is still family oriented and has not changed much. The atmosphere is so laid back and relaxed, it's a nice break from the townside where everything is so rushed and fast paced . My favorite store is Target. It has so much variety of items especially kids clothes. read more

Our latest day trip to The Gathering Place included a stop here as we were wanting to try the new location of Waiahole Poi Factory. Needless to say, they were sold out of kalua pig at lunchtime, so we skipped them and browsed around instead. The 2-level, enclosed mall opened in 1982 and looks like its been freshened up here and there on the inside. Shaped like a "Y", each wing houses anchor tenants at the ends, with shops on both levels throughout. The mall was very congested as it was holiday shopping season and a keiki hula show was happening too. STORES: I wanted to check out their Macy's but it was shuttered! Target, Ross and a 10-screen Regal Cinemas are the lone surviving anchors. The rest of the tenants are a mix of local businesses & services, and a handful of national retailers. FOOD COURT: Located on the first level, the small list of eateries is good, offering a nice variety of fast casual dining. Seating is at a premium though. RESTAURANTS: Not too shabby either! You definitely don't need to leave the area to enjoy grub found on the other side of the mountains. Highlights include Big City Diner, Buffalo Wild Wings, Gyu Kaku Japanese BBQ, Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu, Kickin Kajun, Pieology and Ruby Tuesday. PARKING: There's a small covered area on the west end but the majority is uncovered asphalt that surrounds the mall. OVERALL: Suitable mall for the twin towns of Kaneohe & Kailua. read more

I love coming to Windward Mall. Over the years, many stores and shops have come and gone. There are so many new places to check out everytime I get the opportunity to come out here, and there are also so many places I miss since they've gone. Currently, I've noticed more empty spaces than I've ever noticed before. But there are still many, many amazing places open. I love this mall for so many reasons, not just the cool shops. There is an amazing indoor farmers market, I believe it's still twice a week? So so so many awesome vendors come out all the time. I also like that this farmers market is still that, a farmers market, and hasn't turned into a craft fair like so many others. Windward mall is also great for the many community events that it hosts. It also has a really good indoor playground for when you wanna tire the kids out, but not in the sun! read more

Located off Kamehameha Hwy in Kaneohe. Just like you typical mall two levels and a sleuth of stores and food court. Just came by to get a shirt from T&C and to look around to see what kinda stores were here. One thing that was a blast from the past was seeing a Fun Factory that was a place we would go when I was little so my parents could go shopping while leaving me at Fun Factory lol. If you are handicap or disabled this might not be the mall for you. Just know that there is very limited handicap parking. The side with the food court only has four stalls so plan to be dropped off. Or hope for a stall to open up but good luck if there is an event going on. read more

One of the kiosk that sell pretty lit up baloons...we got 3 of them and in less than 30min the handles were all breaking. And in 3 hrs the lights are not lighting up. Now there is clear tape on it to keep it straight up. I could change the batteries but like...really?!?!!? my toddlers are still having fun but I would suggest not spending the $15 a baloon on these things. It's Christmas time and my wife wanted me to accompany her. When we arrived, the parking lot was full, but we managed to find parking close by. I been here before but not during the Christmas rush. The mall was packed for a Saturday afternoon and it was good to see people dressing up for picture taking with Santa Claus. What is even more interesting is that he was behind a plexiglass wall, due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The mall was crowded and if you shopped around, you'll find some deals. Eventually the crowd was getting less as the night wears on. We shopped and shopped and am glad we came. Overall, it was sad to see some shops closed, like Sears and other stores, but still got a great experience and some shopping done. read more

This is truly a community gathering place and family-friendly mall. It's located on Kamehameha Hwy across from Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center and adjacent to Zippy's. Anchor stores are Macy's, Ross, and Regal Theaters. Sears closed months ago and no retailer has taken its place. There are a couple of play spaces for the kids to frolic. The Cubby Caboose Mini Express is available at $4 per ticket, tax included; starting point is located to the left of the Paina Koolau Foid Court. There's an array of restaurant choices including Big City Diner, Buffalo Wings, Gyu-kaku, and Ruby Tuesdays. The Paina Koolau Food Court features Blazin' Steaks, Bull Kogi, Chinatown Express, Hot Dog on a Stick, I Love Country Cafe, Maruki-Tei, Papa Johns Pizza, Starbucks, Subway, Cookie Corner, and Dairy Queen. I definitely got to go to different stores like Macy's, N Cat, and so many others. It's an indoor mall and isn't as big or crowded at this location when we arrived. Plenty of parking all around the location. I like how there's Big City Diner, and a Ruby Tuesday's and Buffalo Wild Wings within the mall. I definitely rank this mall as one of my favorite malls when I'm on this side of the island. I would come back. read more

I came here on Sunday. My kids wanted to ride some coin operated rides. Since the play area was closed, we thought this would be fun. The next day, my youngest got a cold and now everyone else in the family has one too. My oldest started burning a fever. Obviously, these rides are not cleaned. It was the only activity where we had contact with other things. Get someone to sanitize the rides or close them off. Windward Mall isn't careful. I advise not coming here until Covid ends or they start being more sanitary. read more

For a Saturday at a mall, it wasn't very crowded and we were there around 4:30pm-6:00pm. There's plenty of parking and an abundance of seating areas throughout the mall for shoppers who want to rest. There's playing area for children that was well populated. Near the food court there were signs about free WiFi and there was a Kualoa Ranch free phone charging station. We visited because of Glow Golf, which I definitely recommend- it's on the second floor. I would definitely go back because it was nice to be in a mall on the weekend that wasn't crowded. The variety of stores & food options is why I'm taking a star off. They do have a Regal Cinemas attached. And they have a Target opening up soon, so that will probably bring in more traffic. We would come more often if we were closer. There was something about this mall that gave us good feelings- maybe it was the layout or that something about the place felt slightly nostalgic. read more

Never knew they had a farmer's market indoors on Wednesdays but apparently it is very famous! There were so many vendors with lots of unique products and baked goods and Hawaiian food I need to come with a large cooler to bring everything I want to try home with me! We also came for Black Friday for the first time this year and they had a gift card giveaway for the first 500 people. It was min $5 and max $500 (we got $10 at Hallmark and an Eden in Love tote bag worth $20 so it was worth the trip!) Can't wait to make it a yearly tradition with my mom! read more

We live in town and rarely get to visit the windward side but when we do we try to always stop by the mall. I love Windward Mall. It has a really laid back feel. The weekend we went it was very empty but that made it nice for us. Maybe not so much for businesses. We basically snacked a lot visiting Pretzelmaker, L1 Iniki Popcorn, Hot Dog on a Stick and Papa Johns. On our way out we actually left the parking lot and saw there was no line at the Leonard's Malasada truck so we circled back in to get some lol Hopefully we can get out to the windward side more often. read more

We live in Aiea . Decided to go check out Windward mall one day and to go eat at the Gyu-Kaku there. I took me, my sister her teenage son and my 2 year old daughter. First thing I noticed was the carpets were beautiful. Floral in color and the mall was clean. Which is awesome. Lots of food choices . Food court, restaurants like Gyu-Kaku,Ruby Tuesdays, big city diner and more. Lots of snack places too. There was a small little indoor playground which is good for the kids to run around while us adults can sit and relax take a break from the kids once in awile . A pet store which is fun for the kids and fun Factory which has a bunch of games . The mall has different clothing stores, plant stores and movie theaters. Being a mom of a toddler it was exactly what I was looking for. What I also noticed was the people on the Windward side was very nice and so much aloha . It was nice to see that because there isn't much of that anymore. I plan to be back again . I had a great time . If u have a toddler it was a perfect place to take them to get out and play, eat , run around. Also the drive there is full of great views! read more
