We came to Kuono Marketplace yesterday for a drink at Lanikai Juice. This is such a cute little marketplace located across of Kahala mall. Some stores we seen were: J Dolan, wholesale unlimited, foodland, purve donuts, daichi and more. After getting a drink at Lanikai juice we took a little walk in the shopping center to check out the different stores. Lots of parking available.

Breakfast at et al. is what brought me and the spouse to this tiny, new strip mall in the Kahala area. ATMOSPHERE: The single level, outdoor mall is a bustling beehive as it looked like the majority of the spaces were occupied. Businesses are a mix of eateries, a medical facility and services including hair and nail salons. Parking is free and adequate with quick access to the freeway above and Kahala Mall across the street. HIGHLIGHTS: Daiichi Ramen Engel & Völkers (real estate) J Dolan's (pizzeria) Kahala Mkt. by Foodland Lanikai Juice Purvé Donut Stop Shell gas Straub Medical Center Territorial Savings Wholesale Unlimited (popular candy/snack store)

Kuono Marketplace.. such a gem of a shopping Center. Decided to checkout this small, but filled with small shops shopping center. I was impressed with all the small shops with plenty of attitude. Lots of parking across from street from Kahala Mall. I've seen this shopping center many times, but never had the time to stop. There are so many shops to visit with all types of venues. Far corner is J. Dolan's popular for its build-your-own pizza options, Purvé Donut Known for their creative flavors, Kahala MKT. by Foodland with creative grab-and-go cuisine, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf my favorite tea place, drybar... get $10 off your first blowout just for signing up!, Daiichi Ramen best Japanese Ramen in all of Hawaii, Lanikai Juice serving healthy and fresh smoothies and Wholesale Unlimited Express the destination for your favorite local snacks are just a few shops you'll find in this cute shopping center. Everyone was very friendly and people were sitting in at outside tables just enjoying the day.... I will definitely be visiting again soon....

Ku'ono Marketplace is a the newest shopping complex to open up in East Honolulu. Located in Kahala on Waialae Avenue and across of the long standing Kahala Mall. There are a mix of businesses that are open already or in the process of opening with signage outside showing what's to come. The mix of a Market (Kahala Mkt), Eateries (Et al Restaurant, Daiichi Ramen and a Cafe coming soon). Other places that have opened, Kahala Drybar, Engel and Volkers, Lanikai Juice, Kahala Nail and Straub Clinic. Soon to open are places that I personally am excited to see shortly are Purve Donut, Wholesale Unlimited and Beerlab. There is also going have businesses like Great Clips to get a haircut, Territorial Savings Bank and a Service Station to fill up your ride. I like the mix of different businesses that this Marketplace has and will have in the near future. Great addition to the East Side, Waialae Kahala Area.

    Lots of choices

It should be an exciting time to come to the Kuono Marketplace at Kahala, when Kahala Mall just won't do anymore.

It's the perfect mix of shopping, food, and island vibes -- and the fact that it's open-air makes it even better . Location & Hours: Super convenient and easy to get to, right between Waikiki and downtown Honolulu Most stores are open around 10am-8pm, but restaurant hours vary (some open earlier or close later ). Parking (the BEST part): FREE PARKING!!! Yes -- totally free self-parking with tons of garages all around the mall. There are so many spots, but it does get busy on weekends, so coming earlier is always a good idea . Performances & Entertainment: They often have free live performances like hula dancing and Hawaiian music at the center stage -- such a fun surprise while shopping and a great way to soak in the culture! Best Restaurants & Food: SO many good options Mariposa - great for a sit-down meal Tanaka of Tokyo - always a fun experience Food court - perfect for quick bites Ruscello / CPK - easy and family-friendly Tons of dessert and coffee spots for shopping breaks You could literally eat here all day . It is no accident there was NO LINE at dinner time on a Wednesday night, the community must already be aware the Gen whateverZ have absolutely no customer service or common sense when handling online ordering, preparation and presentation of orders. My 12 year old had online order number on her phone, two (2) standard boxes with two (2) 24 oz drinks, " to go." How do YOU think this order should be packaged? Well, I instructed my daughter to grab the order as I went to the lavatory and I would meet her at a nearby table. As I approached the counter, I saw her ask for a drink holder. And then I saw her attempt to stack the boxes atop the other!!! Wth???? Hold up, Baby Girl??!!! "XqquuuZzee mee?? Please may she have a bag???" My child says, " I got it!" " I'm sure you do. Wejust spent $30 here on 2 meals and you are here alone. The least they can do is offer you a drink carrier and food carrier!" The counter clerk gives me the bag, I say TY, pack it, and turn to leave. Another staff says something to that clerk, who then turns to me," what name is the order under?" I give them my name. And walk away. In most work situations, these are training issues, and I have great compassion for ignorance. However, upon observation the patron appeared to be struggling with gathering and collecting the order in their possession therefore the transaction has not been completed yet. My daughter is my bias. Don't mess with MamaZ Baby!!!

It's a huge structure between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue that runs along Waialae Avenue. Times Supermarket is on the bottom level, and Longs, Cookie Corner, and the Hawaii State Employees Federal Credit Union are on the middle level. Those are the places that I see and know. I looked at the directory and saw that there are many offices on that top level that I never visit. Customers can use the stairs or elevator to navigate between levels. Free covered parking is on the bottom level. The middle level also has free parking, but the row furthest away from the building is reserved for employees. This is pretty good outdoor mall. I've gotten meals from several businesses such as Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27, Higoto, and Coco Bloom. I'll be back!

Kapahulu pride…read more.. First of all I can't believe that a bakery used to be here as now it's home to Safeway which wasn't my go to grocery store until they began to set their place here in Kapahulu Shopping Center which is quite massive and very nice to include a Starbucks as well, yes it is definitely the anchor here with a lot of free parking and we all know that it does fill up fast but they do have an upper level as well just take the ramp up and you'd be surprised to see a lot more stalls along with elevators to take you down so it's an easy access to wherever you're going as this shopping center is filled with wonderful merchants like AT&T, Chronic Tacos, Panda Express, Timmy T's, GNC just to name a few. For those that are here just to pick up some take out food there are a few stall dedicated for that for ease of doing so like delivery drivers I do see take full advantage of that making it a thoughtful process for those that are just here for a few and with that is time saved for those that are staying near Waikiki or before heading out to the freeway. Thank you!

I liked that sandwich place, and I would drive here just for their sandwiches. It so hard find parking in front of the businesses throughout the day. What is nice, is the parking is free! Recently came to Moojigae Korean Grill after the lunch rush hours and found a parking stall right in front. New businesses to open soon are the Loco Moco Drive Inn and a second location for Mikiya, a Wagyu Shabu House. Timmy T's , Panda Express, AT&T, GNC, as well as Chronic Tacos are located at this Shopping Center. There are more parking stalls on the roof top with Elevators service. You can see Diamond Head from the roof top parking! The Kapahulu Shopping Center is on Kapahulu Avenue and there's also a back entrance for the residential area near Timmy T's. I can't wait to go Loco Moco's Drive Inn when they open. Sometimes you can find some coupons printed behind the Safeway's receipt for the near by businesses. Please stop by this Shopping Center on the way to Waikiki or when you're in the area. They have many take out eateries to try! This Safeway is huge like the main store located on Beretania St!
