Totally felt ignored. We eventually left without purchasing anything. Still giving the store a 4 because I love the brand. I've been frequently shopping at Kahala Mall these days. & One of my favorite clothing stores is Reyn Spooner! Since 1956, Reyn Spooner's been renowned for producing beautiful & authentic Aloha shirts & wear. I've personally enjoyed the quality build & unique designs such as the Year of the Rabbit & University of Hawai'i Aloha shirts. Upon entering you're greeted by an associate while the store is decked out in wooden floors & borders. Since this year's the Year of the Dragon, I contacted the store & they gladly added me on the list once the shirts was available to puchase & pick up. They called me notifying the shirts were ready (they usually hold your reserved items for you for a couple of days). Yes, the shirts are a bit north of $100 but because the shirt is comfortable & very high quality I'd say it's worth it. Love the shirt & design so much I bought both colorways! The staff was very helpful, from showing me the dressing room to showing me other offerings such as their shorts & other styles currently on sale. & the way they fold the items into the bag shows they give great care to their products. As a big fan of Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirts, I've been wearing Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirts for over 30+ years now. I remembered a time when I first got out of college and purchased my very first Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt from Liberty House (ya remember Liberty House???) - (If so, you one old fut like me! Buwahahahahaha!)..........in the 90's I swear I was able to get a Spooner for like $55.00 bucks. 30 years have since passed, and in today's dollars......... you're looking at double the cost for a Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt. Although cost has gone up through the years for this wonderful Hawaiian Shirt, one thing that has been consistent about a Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirt is the quality of the product. Most of my Spooners that are in my closet are the poly blend shirts which comprises of - 60% Cotton & 40% Polyester (old skool shirts). The current poly blend shirts that Reyn Spooner now manufactures is 55% Cotton & 45% Polyester. If you're lazy like me, to maintain these shirts, all you have to do is hand wash the shirt, then put it on a clothes hanger to drip dry. No ironing needed whatsoever! Yes, I do know how to iron my own shirts, but I'd rather not because I'm lazy lil' dat! Buwahahahaha! Hey, I ain't gonna lie to ya! On my recent trip to the Reyn Spooner store in Kahala Mall, a friend of mine - Byron S. had given me a Reyn Spooner Peanuts edition "Surfin Snoopy" Hawaiian Shirt in Mens XL for Christmas. I guess the shirt sizing for the Peanuts edition shirts were "oversized", because when I put on that XL shirt, I was totally swimming is that beautiful shirt! Aiyah! Luckily the Reyn Spooner inside of Kahala Mall wasn't too far from my house, so I was able to go there & exchange my Peanuts edition shirt for a Mens Large. Customer service here was just okay, as the store was pretty busy the day after Christmas with only (2) clerks that were working behind the register..........so the wait was understandable. Aside from that, I just LOVE my Reyn Spooner Hawaiian Shirts, as you really can't go wrong with wearing a Spooner, as it's the standard Hawaiian attire for the Hawaiian business man. read more

During our most recent visit to Hawaii, we randomly came to the Kahala Mall (Def. gave me some mall nostalgia but that's another review) to browse around. I went to the bathroom right before we were going to leave and my wife told me she saw some really nice Hawaiian shirts. I was looking for Hawaiian shirt for a really long time and I could never find one that fits me nicely (Always too big) and the quality just never seem up to snuff. Those $20 shirts just wasn't cutting it. I got a "tailor" fit shirt from Reyn, and the fit was perfect! The material is on point as well. Granted it was $120+ but it was the best money I've spent on clothes in a while. They also have varies collabs (NFL, Marvel, Spongebob etc) The store was very clean, and the associate that helped us (Japanese lady. I wish we had gotten her name) She was SOOOOO nice and very helpful! in short, if you're looking for a nice authentic hawaiian shirt, check this place out! You can order from the website but I'd recommend going to the store and making sure you get the correct size for your body type. read more

I've purchased three shirts from Reyn Spooner. They have all taken 7 to 10 days to arrive. I think when you pay $130 for a shirt, it should arrive in 3 to 5 days. I got my first Reyn Spooner Aloha Shirt when I was 15. I used to dress probably way too nice and mature for high school with that shirt, plus beige pants, Rocksport shoes, but that was my style and just mine. Though, I was mistaken as the teacher by a classmate when I was a sophomore lol! I think it was my glasses! Fast forward a couple of decades, I STILL have that shirt and it's still very nice and fit very well. Reyn Spooner offers a variety of clothing with varying styles and fabric. You can't beat the Classic Fit with the Reyn Spooner fabric. The other clothes with a different fabric just does feel, look, and smell like a true Reyn Spooner shirt. Reyn Spooner shirts do last a very long time, and I rarely go to their stores to purchase one. I already have plenty of clothes and several Reyn Spooners, even a UH one! Their designs are great and low key. No super bright and exceedingly floral designs here. I was walking around in Kahala Mall and noticed there was a 30% off sale, so I just came in to take a look. I was told they rarely have sales like this and they got rid of their Spring Cleaning Sale! No wonder I never seen anything! The store is very clean and organized. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. In the end, I purchased a shirt. The cashier was very nice to paper wrap my shirt and put a nice Reyn Spooner sticker when I declined a bag. Now the sticker is on my water bottle! Reyn Spooner is the only shirt where Medium is my size, and it fits perfectly! I'm usually a large or X-Large, so it's nice to say, "I'm a medium" haha. Reyn Spooner has an MLB line as well. I wish they did NFL! I'd buy one for myself and all my friends. We need to level up from NFL golf polos. Reyn Spooner all the way! I'm writing this review on my husband's behalf. Yes, I'm doing this for him. My husband loves Reyn Spooner's! Ever since I've known him, he's always had RS. His vast collection takes up his whole closet. Well, not all of it, but most of it. Lol...Most of his RS has a lifespan of ten plus years. I'm not kidding! After hundreds of washing, they still look good! I can't believe it! The price of an RS is costly, but it has a very good quality. It is worth every penny. He also likes them because it never wrinkles. Wash it...dry it...hang it up...wear it! No more ironing! I love this because I don't need to iron his RS. Other brands that he has do wrinkle and I get the pleasure of ironing them for him. "Buwahahaha." Because my husband adores RS, every year my daughter and I will buy him a new shirt to add to his collection. If there is a special celebration, we also surprise him with a RS. My husband and I have been fans of Reyn Spooner garments for years. The classic and well-tailored fashion lines are perfect for local business people and casual Aloha wear. Also, their prints are not the crazy or wild Aloha prints as many styles are done in reverse print. The easy care and durable "Spooner Kloth" which was often described as oxford cloth of the islands is our choice of fabric for the Aloha wear from here. Although, other fabrics are used based upon the pattern design or collection. There was a time when Reyn Spooner offered women's wear but that line apparently had been discontinued. So luckily or shall I say no worries about seeing my husband and I wearing the same print. Haha. I am a member of the Reyn's Insider Access Club and recently received an online announcement of their Holiday Ohana Sale. Wow! 30% discount drew me in to snatch up a couple of new Aloha shirts for my husband. The shirts usually cost $98 - $118 each. So yay for this sale. The saleswoman (shucks, didn't get her name because I was rushing to purchase while my husband was having a haircut) at this location is super sweet and even went the extra mile with me to look at print placement on the shirts for my husband. She even helped to box and wrap the shirts which I quickly hid in my car trunk and retrieved when he stepped out to attend an appointment the following day. Ordered online, opened the plastic packaging and in doing so the price tag came off. I realized the shirt that arrived was the correct color and print but not the style I wanted. Didn't wash it, heck I never even unfolded it I emailed customer service and explained the situation. No clarifying questions were asked, just an email saying Tags off, too bad, so sad. After 40 years of buying and wearing these including last month ordering one for my 2 year old grandson I'm afraid I am done with them. Quality of shirts is fine, customer service is so subpar that I am speechless. After I replied to the rep to say I disagreed with the decision I expected a call or an email back. I've always admired the prints at Reyn Spooner. The colors are amazing and their patterns, unique. Their customer service is nothing short of awesome! I didn't catch the name of the associate that assisted me, but he was just so helpful with explaining the different cuts, styles and sales that they had in store. He did his best to help me find a shirt for my BF, but ultimately it came down to - I think I'll need to bring him in to actually try it on. Call me a bad GF, but I couldn't remember the size or style Aloha shirts that he fits. Speaking of styles, Reyn Spooner has classic cuts, tailored, and if I'm not mistaken half Button shirts and 3/4 sleeve. Their newer items are towards the front of the store, while their sale selection is towards the back. Their new store is fantastic. See the images. Rebuilt and redone... almost modern... with the old school staff. I love those old ladies, they are fun to talk to! Their prices may be high... but you get a good product. No polyester-feeling Hawaiian shirts here... their 60% Cotton, 40% Polyester blends are great. read more

I spoke with Zac (turns out he is the store manager) at the Kahala store. I had a question about which gift card to purchase - the store gift card, or the internet gift card. I don't know why you have to choose, as I don't know the purchasing preference of the recipient. Anyway, Zac was way more than helpful and spent time explaining the difference in what you could purchase with each method, and what you could do if they don't happen to have the specific shirt in the specific size at the store. Great shop for well made hawaiian shirts. These are not those cheap $20 Waikiki chinese made knockoffs. You can tell just by touching them, that they're well made. Locallly produced with awesome prints. The shop is just the right size with plenty of options. Mostly front button down or pull over designs. There are a few shorts and other accessories. Plus there's a few racks of sale items. The staff is super friendly, patient and well informed. I will definitely come back! read more

I ordered two shirts on June 27th. By July 15th I still hadn't gotten any updates on shipping even though I had emailed customer service (no response). I've also contacted another customer service email (no response) and called (left voicemail - no response). I do not recommend this company. Unfortunate because the products look great. When I think of aloha shirts, I think oversized, boxy and loud. Not with Reyn Spooner. They have a new modern fit line that's more tailored and very slimming. I managed to grab a nice shirt when they had their sideway sale a few months ago. I also found out that they sell the same shirts at Nordstrom Rack for $40.00. The customer service is always on point at this spot and there's hardly a crowd so you feel like you're shopping in privacy. I was walking by earlier today and saw a SF Giants World Series shirt and the worker started showing me the KC Aloha Shirt as well. Odd sales tactic considering I was looking specifically at the SF Giants shirt and I must be a fan. Nice try Reyn Spooner worker, nice try. read more
