I have spent a lot of money on this website but I will never shop with them again. Their bikini sizes are not accurate and they only provide you 14 days to make a return/refund. If you are about to go on vacation do not buy a bikini on this website! if it doesn't fit right and you don't have time to return it (aka, you went on vacation) they will deny your request to return a bikini that doesn't fit!? Received such excellent help from Star on my first visit here. I was looking for a new Swimsuit for my vacation and did some searching on their website and saw they had a particular Acacia one piece that I couldn't find anywhere else on island. I'm not really one to pop into Boutiques nor am I one to drop a couple hundreds on a suite since I rarely go to the beach but I was quickly welcomed by her and even with a few others in the store, I felt like she was extremely good at juggling multiple customers. I never felt neglected and she ever recommended I try on another brand because of the fit and cut/style, which was encouraging. However, the girl working was rude and unwelcoming, and made us feel like we were wasting her time by wanting to try things on. If I'm going to spend this kind of money on a swimsuit I think I should be able to try things on to make sure it's what I want. Even overheard her mention she's a manager, which makes her attitude more appalling?!?! Safe to say we left quickly and didn't buy because of her nasty attitude and judgy tone. read more

Yay for BikiniBird! This fun story happened in Ko'Lina, while I was staying with my family at Disney's Au Lani for a few days. Our 3rd visit within the past 5 years. The store was new to us, as it wasn't there when we were last vacationing in Feb 2019 I stopped in after catching sight of a little girls cheetah print reversible one piece bathing suit hanging inside the store. My almost 7 year old daughter tried it on and she LOVED it. Check! Interestingly enough, in the dressing room were some items that looked like they would fit me, including a pair of Stillwater high waisted loose white pants and this killer top by Peixoto that had poofy arms and an open back in a stunning marigold color. The Clara top, it was called. I tried them on, they fit perfect and I HAD to buy them. So I did. Who knew leaving clothes in a dressing room could work out for another potential patron Maybe it's a new sales tactic (if it wasn't already done purposefully). I returned later the next evening to see if there were other suits for my daughter and the sales woman was so lovely. I showed off my new wears from the night before and she told me how the skirt to match the top was to die for and it wasn't at the store but could be found online. I found it later that night from the Peixoto website and ordered it. Thank you Apple Pay. So, in summation, sending along love and gratitude for your beautiful store, well selected items for purchase, and your terrific, on point staff. Plus I noticed you have the roll-on perfumes and candles from Maison Louis Marie, of which their sandlewood scent (the Bois du Bourgeois) I actually brought with me to Oahu. Bikini Bird is another new kid on the block in the tiny strip mall across from the Pali Lanes. I've been wondering when the opening day would come & today was the day! I just happened to be at my fave boba place (Bee&Tea) when I saw that their doors were open. As a responsible Yelp peep, I felt it was my duty to go check it out for my fellow Yelpers. As I said, this was their opening day. The owner (I think) actually told us that they were still stocking, but there was already a selection of bikinis, coverups, tshirts, and various accessories. Sunglasses and jewelry are located at the counter. There are 3 dressing rooms for you to try your clothing on. The shop is very cute and stocked enough where it's not cluttered. The prices on the bikinis are a bit high for me, but I don't often shop for swimwear. I'm not sure if this is normal pricing or just happened to look at items that were designer brand. I was waiting for my food next door at Kono's and decided to drop in since I lost my bikini.. it is pretty expensive in here but hey, if you don't want to run into a few ppl with the same Target bikini and want to invest in a good pair, come to BikiniBird! When trying on bikinis, I admire the fact that they had these little plastic bags so you can throw away the used liner after trying on the bottoms. Both my friend and I asked for certain sizes in suits, and promptly got looked up and down (I think by Claire) and were suggested larger sizes before we even tried them on. Shockingly, I have been picking my sizes for years and doing just fine. I know she was probably just jealous of my amazing chest, but it still was highly unnecessary. I loved the suit (in the size I picked for myself) but did not purchase after she passed judgement undue judgement on my body and it's perceived size. As a straight sized cis white woman, I hate to imagine how other customers might be getting treated. I came into Kailua town to get my friend a birthday present and couldn't find anything after nearly half an hour of searching 4-5 other nearby stores. Finally, after walking into BikiniBird, I found something that matched her perfectly. They have a variety of items apart from just clothes. For instance, they have some artistic and personal cards, hilarious knick knacks, as well as a great selection of sunglasses and adorable hats. I got my friend some tropical-leaf-shaped coasters and a cute striped t-shirt. She loved it! This review is for the sales girls at the location in Ko Olina mall next to abc store. The salesgirls were very rude and they specified that they hate tourists, since they were both natives of Hawaii. When someone like myself buys three dresses the sales staff should be more appreciative than basically take the attitude that they don't need me or other tourists as customers. Not being allowed to look at myself in the mirror for a couple of seconds while trying on a dress is ridiculous. read more

my new fave bikini/clothing boutique!!! for a small store, they have a pretty decent sized selection of high end bikini brands. they sell lot's of acacia, mikoh, amuse society, frankies bikinies and more. they have two cute little fitting rooms that have really good mirrors and lighting, AND they offer hypo-allergenic disposable thongs to wear while you try on bikini bottoms so you don't have to worry about getting trying something on that has some other girls coochie juices on it LOL. i've been there three times so far, and two out of the three times i went, i had very helpful and sweet sales associates. they also sell some clothing, very chic beachy items like sundresses and crop tops and high waisted shorts. they have their own bikini bird brand of t-shirts, hats and other novelty items like mugs and beach blankets. they have lots of affordable jewelry pieces too! overall, i think this is the best bikini store on island. read more

I'm truly disappointed. I walked in the store for the first time today and was extremely excited to purchase a few bikinis for my upcoming trip. I drove from town during rush hour to make sure that I got there in time. The store's design layout was awesome and the swimwear was fantastic. However, the employees were awful. I was in the store for at least 15 minutes (and mind you, I was the only one in there) and no one said a word to me. No "hello", no "can I help you", and no acknowledgement that I was even in the store. Do you know how terrible that feels? They were standing around talking about the store's money. Finally, I made eye contact with one of the employees and she looked at me and went in the opposite direction. I wanted ask some questions but these girls made me feel like I was not welcome. As I was leaving one of them sarcastically said "have a nice day." I highly doubt I will be going back to this store because no one should feel invisible or should be treated that way. read more

I've resisted buying a $150-225 bathing suit that barely covers my teenager, such as Acacia brands, but if you do feel the need to reward your child for good grades or behavior, spend it at BikiniBird. I will drive over the Pali to do so especially if the young lady, Pomai, is working b/c she was just absolutely a perfect salesperson. Kind, genuine, not overbearing and very informative. I haven't tried on a bathing suit in years, since I'm a mom and happy with my 10 year old bathing suits. Yet, sweet Pomai gave me suggestions and was attentive to the mommy needs and wants, and now I realize there are really supportive bathing suits out there for moms of all sizes and actually are worth $100+ dollars. So, I will be driving over the Pali to shop for a bikini for daughter and myself, as they have a lot of selection for a local boutique and just great customer service. Thanks Pomai!
