Walmart quality! Don't buy from Mahina! I purchased the cutest Ophelia Romper- wore it once, hand washed in cold water and now it is a rag! The seams under the arm and waist ties are threads! I'm out $76. Not worth wasting your money $$

Love their stores! Cute clothing and jewelry at a reasonable price. Clothing is a tad smaller . I like that they don't clutter their store with "touristy"merchandise. They give a 10 % local discount on regular merchandise, and usually have a good sale rack. One bummer thing the Kailua store closes at 6pm during the week, but it doesn't stop me from shopping during the day! And free parking too at Kailua.

Pretty (trendy) clothing in varying sizes unlike similar boutiques that only carry double the inventory in XS and Small sizes but that's not the reason why this boutique earned a two star rating from me. Upon entering the store I was not acknowledged and throughout my shopping experience no saleswomen attempted any interactions with me. There were four salesGiRLS who pretended to be working when in fact, Kaylin (the only salesperson who was working the floor and interacting with customers) was running circles around her co-workers who were all at the cashier's counter talking about what they were going to eat for lunch at Whole Foods (yea pretty much heard the entire conversation since they were pretty loud). I was ready to check out and I stood in front of them (at the register) all ready to purchase my items all awhile waiting for them to finish up their personal group conversation. It was awkward and inappropriate for them to be putting their business ahead of company business. I'm disappointed that I wasn't offered a Kama'aina discount for my purchases (since they were too busy talking amongst themselves) - it was pretty much a silent transaction and I didn't realize that I was privy to those discounts until arriving home. Staff (aside from Kaylin) were uninterested with sales and more concerned with each other and their activities. Too bad really, since I would've really liked to have spent more time in there buying up more stuff but who wants to dump money into a business when they care so little about customer service. I've DEFINITELY experienced better.

When there's more to shopping than just Forever 21, you won't have to worry about looking like a spring chicken. Thanks to Mahina, I've found that variety and style I'm looking for without trying to look like I'm 21 in my real age. I remember going to my first Mahina store with my good friend on Maui. We shopped like we were kids in a candy store savoring every flavor, style, colors and the accessories in every crevice of their clean brick & mortar. Now I'm obsessed and shop at every Mahina location I can find. The Kailua location is off of Kailua Rd. and Hahanani St. in the same shopping center as Maui Tacos and Teddy's Bigger Burgers with free parking lot. Mahina is locally owned and originally from Maui. The couple first opened their store in Paia in 2006 and voted "best boutique" for 7 years in a row. Living in Hawai'i where the sun is always shining all year round, we need those soft flowy dresses, pretty tops and mind blowing accessories. One of my favorite things is finding uniquely made statements in a boutique. But what's hard is finding something I really like and leaving it behind due to its outrageous price. Mahina have their fair selections of expensive items and some reasonable selections. I love shopping at their 20%-50% discount racks (located at the door entrance, or small racks by the fitting rooms). On those sections I've found dresses and tops in my size and style for a steal. I've returned several times for accessories ranging from $3 and up. Their strappy sandals are nicely chosen to pair with the perfect ensemble, as well as purses and clutches at good quality. The store is clean, organized and brightly decorated with an ocean beach aesthetic. Kawehi was kind to assist me with all of my clothing needs whether it's for just for jumping around in or something special. One of the times I've visited, I found a top I adored. They didn't have the right size at their Kailua store but is avail at the Waikiki location. The staffs on both ends were kind to arrange for me to pick up the top at their Waikiki location. On a different time, I've forgotten one of my favorite necklaces inside their fitting room. Kanani happened to be working the shift when I called about the necklace. She located the item inside the fitting room and kept it safe until I picked it up almost a week later. I'm immensely please with their customer service. I'm a huge fan of following their social media and tend to find outfits and accessories I like. Each Mahina location has their Instagram. They're very active in responding in regards to any questions a customer may have. I've found a handful of items I wanted them to reserve and try on at the Kailua store. Should they not have the piece avail, they will call all stores on the island for a style and color check and do an instore delivery. I love the attention to customer service in Kailua. Not only the clothes and accessories are displayed nicely, but the store is clean and organized. Accessories are decorated throughout the store. Be prepared to do some thorough searching. Some of the mannequins may be wearing some of them. I recommend visiting any of their stores if you're ever in the spirit of shopping. PS: Don't forget to show your State ID for a Kama'aina Discount of 10% (not applied to sale items) IG: Mahina Kailua FB: Mahina

Shopping in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. Lexbreezy had a super long line of customers at the Made In Hawaii Festival a few months ago. I've seen the Instagram posts of their clothing, but never had a chance to look upclose at the styles and fabrics. We were going to lunch in Kailua - next door at the new Oh My Grill - and noticed that Lexbreezy is right here! Wow! With free parking, it's so easy to stop by after a meal. Unfortunately, we took too long to eat and Lexbreezy was closed. I drove back to Kailua and got a chance to look around the cute shop! I liked the prints, but didn't care for the styles. For example, rompers are too inconvenient for me to wear. I'll stop by in a few months and check the merchandise. Maybe new items will come out for the holidays... I noticed a dressing room - it will come in handy since there might not be any returns/exchanges accepted.

As a shell lover there was so much here that I loved that I've never seen anywhere else. Everything from clothing to jewelry, accessories, cards, trinkets and the cutest decor. It would also have a large forest in the back with a small babbling stream running through it. The atmosphere would be a dark, dreary, foggy and rainy place. If you think I'm kidding, I am not. My second dream home would be another 3-story non-haunted Victorian Mansion with an airy porch with flowers all over the place, and the interior would be decorated with stuff from this store: Muse Kailua. I know non-haunted Victorian Mansions do not appear very oceany but who cares! I love the stuff in here and you could probably incorporate a lot of their stuff with your current decor. My current decor is shabby messiness with a hodge-podge of clutter, mess, papers strewn about, Halloween decorations out all-year-long, paper receipts piling up in boxes, dried hibiscus seed pods cluttering up the counter and a pile of (fake) skeletons on the living room floor. No, again I am not kidding. Aside from this foolish decor in my house, the stuff in here is the stuff I dream about: a clean, uncluttered home, airy windows with white billowy curtains, home smelling like fresh lemons and decor from Muse Kaiula: seashells, floral plates, tropical oceany goodness, whimsical lovely items and dream-like girlyness. If you are into Victorian, girliness, girly girl, mermaids, ocean, tropical, and ooh-la-la this is your place, and you're in luck if you're on the mainland because now they have their online store open!! Return factor: OF COURSE are you kidding??? Coz I'm not.

Adrienne had just opened the shop for about 30 minutes and we happened to walk in and were the only customers at that time. Adrienne was very happy to help us as she offered her assistance before we even asked for help. We looked around at all their clothing, jewelry, magnets, coasters, puzzles, hair clips, games, and so much more. We already shop at the Kahala, Pearlridge & Ala Moana stores so we're well aware of their merch. Daughter & I grabbed a bunch of clothes to try on as they have these little private makeshift dressing rooms available. The store is so inviting as they have so many cute and colorful merch to select from. Even if you're not there for the clothes, they have a bunch of trinkets and cards that you'll find something to your liking to purchase. The prices are fairly reasonable for what they have. There were these cute hair clips with floral designs on a wood base attached to the plastic hair clips that was really cute. It sold for $22. It'll make a nice gift for almost any gal with long hair. There's street parking in front but I'm sure you can park in the big parking structure or huge lot across the street. We did and we didn't have any problems on our return. Adrienne was so upbeat, friendly and nice that she makes you want to be her friend for life. We'll be back to support local and dive into their new merch that they pretty much bring out often.
