A wide selection of colors, however, a few of the popular colors and flowers were out of stock. The beads are light weight, flexible, and the stems may be easily cut shorter. I was happily surprised that it did not feel rough or abrasive against material or the human skin. Great for simple DIY craft projects. My first project was to create a forever lei bag charm. The flower beads are reasonably priced and affordable for crafting projects. Service was okay lol. The cashier could have shown a little more interest. No smile or thank you for coming today. Maybe it was an off day for her. Other employees were nice and helpful in finding the beads. Overall a 4.5 star experience. Rounded up to 5 stars.

Where's the die cut machine…read more.. Coming from the west side I thought that stopping here at the Pearl City Shopping Center lower level near Daiso would be perfect as I needed to use their die cut machine for a graduation party decor as it was late in the day with lots of errands after work I was pressed for time as I searched around this shop which is quite large but have so many branches of aisles it was a maze just searching around like a lost mouse roaming around. Though I didn't find the die cut machine I did see something new and super cute a large selection of patches all small and about an 1" in size along with various little key fob and little coin purse to personalize and at $1 each patch you know it stopped me in my busy tracks and totally got me thinking of some projects...omg! I'm not used to the layout of this location and because of that I usually don't come here but with fun items like patches and the trend of mini totes it may sway me in Pearl City for some ideas lol, staff was just there smiled but didn't really acknowledge me which was fine as I was in a hurry and left with more ideas than I needed. Born and raised in Honolulu and now living in the bay, I want to create diaper cakes using Hawaiian print materials to give them an aloha vibe. I created a list of fabric stores to visit, but ended up just checking this place out since it was in Kalihi, not far from where my mom lives, and I didn't feel like being in the crazy Oahu traffic to get to the other shops. Located in a warehouse off N. King Street in Kalihi, it wasn't very hard to find, and parking can be limited in front of the warehouse or street parking. When my mom and I walked in, we were amazed at the vast amount of material this place carries. A lot of Hawaiian print, Palaka, Japanese, Tahitian, and those cute Kawaii patterns (see my pics) to name a few. We received great customer service considering how busy they were. Daniel was pleasant and very helpful. Prices were reasonable, the prints I got were from $5/yd. They mainly carry rolls of material, some ribbon, and a few sewing accessories at the checkout counter. Daniel recommended I check out their Instagram for any new print drops, and they ship! Off 1 star for organization. There are some beautiful prints hiding under several rolls of fabric.

They have a great assortment of fabric. The customer service was fantastic and quick and we were able to get in and out of there quickly. They have a minimum of one yard of fabric now which isn't bad at all. Highly recommend to come if you need a special fabric print or color that you need for your projects.

Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. Looking for a purple dress, I didn't expect to find one at Aloha Fabrics, but I did! Strolling around Dole Cannery, I saw clothing in the window. I thought that this was a hula supply store? Since I'm here, I should just take a look, right? Browsing the aisles that were filled with all kinds of merchandise like pareo, hair accessories, musical instruments, tube tops, lanyards, check book covers, hula skirts, etc., I found a rack of long mu'umu'u! I was excited to find a pretty lei print on lavender material with purple trim! Perfect! The nice man apologized that there was no dressing room. I estimated the length and width to figure what size to get. He said there's no refund and maybe I can come back for alteration? I think I'll fit! I also saw some coin purses that will make great party favors! I got a bunch and he gave me a discount for bulk purchase! Thank you! Wow... I wasn't expecting anything and this store is really terrific... they even have 100% cotton palaka fabric on bolts! I need to return when I'm ready to sew my next project! Thank you so much!!!

FREE PARKING. That literally made my day knowing I didn't have to find street parking and walking forever! The shop is on the first floor and it appears they moved into a bigger area adjacent to the old (making it a much bigger space. Once you enter you are greeting by the nicest lady (owner). I told her that I was new to her shop and was looking for a mu'umu'u for an upcoming event. She made several suggestions (all so very good)! I was happy since I was clueless other than knowing that I wanted a vintage piece and perhaps a "newer" version as well. I came away with a beautiful Bette in a pink floral as well as another in red and yellow print. I was very pleased with my purchases as well as the help and hospitality from DeStash.
