I'm going to put my disclaimer first - I don't have the "eye". You know the eye for design and style and color. The interior design of all my previous homes were very "pieced together"; it was never a cohesive theme. If anything...the theme would be cluttered. But my boyfriend is completely opposite. He has that stylistic eye and hates clutter, so I rely on him when it comes to furnishing our home. As we talked about how we want to decorate our future home, we knew we had to find unique pieces that would match the color scheme of the condo and something we would like. On a whim, we checked out Red Knot and stumbled upon the couch that met all of our criteria: 1. Gray 2. Unique look with the white stitching, not so boxy design and it came with two little stools that would be stored in the armrest 3. Had a chaise Plus it had a matching ottoman with storage and can turn into a bed. We loved it. But of course we had questions. And, it's like the furniture gods heard our prayer and sent us Derek. He saw us looking around and stopped by us to see how we were doing and if we had questions. He was able to answer all of our questions and helped us with the transaction. When learning that we were in the process of buying a place, he helped us to figure out the timing of when we would receive couch as well as the payment options available. Besides from the great service we received, I loved the wide selection of items available and the prices are competitive. I know we will be back for the other pieces. read more

Furniture shopping saga continues... Enter through the main entrance and take a left. Parking stalls are structured weirdly. Anywhos, Derek greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I only mentioned a black or white dresser, totally forgot I was looking for a dining table. He was very knowledgeable with what they had in store but not what I was looking for. I decided to venture around while my dad checked out the sectional couches. He found one and we were chilling there for quite awhile but no one else came by so we decided to venture to the other side. My son really loved the red couch but reds just not in our color scheme, not even in his room lol. They had a lot of cute decor accessories for a beauty room. read more

Red Knot sounds like an Asian theme furniture store. But you won't too many Asian furnitures here but mostly modern. This furniture store had a different name before but I think they're are all related to C.S. Wo & Sons furniture store. This place is worth browsing if you're in need of new furnitures. Their layout is according to style. So don't expect to find all the tables together etc. We were shopping for a round dining table and we were lucky to find one here. A nice gentleman helped us out when we were ready to purchase. He gave us our space to browse around first and second floors. Which was nice. You don't want to be followed constantly. They do delivery. No matter how much you buy they'll charge $110 flat. If you want that option try to purchase multiple items so it's worth your money. We chose pick up. It is across from Target's Salt Lake Honolulu. You can pretty much pick up anytime during their business hours. read more

I'm pretty impressed with this place. My boyfriend and I were searching for a new coffee table since our shiba inu likes to chew on the legs of our koa table (grrrr!). I am also on the search for a display hutch or buffet table to add to our dining set. We looked at Inspiration and it is not my style. I am not into modern and contemporary furniture, but my boyfriend is. I am more into traditional, shabby chic and vintage. Plus, their prices are crazy expensive. So we thought we should try Red Knot, and oh boy, it is like the best of both worlds for us! They have a mix of modern and vintage-like furniture and their prices are very reasonable compared to Inspiration. I would say that this taste of furniture is more suited for the younger generation as the colors and patterns are more vibrant and the salespeople are young adults too. Service was great, we were greeted right away and we had salespeople help us when needed. They did not annoyingly follow you everywhere like some other furniture stores do, but they were nearby in case you had any questions. I recently had a great experience with Margaret and Red Knot. We bought a couch with a stain and parts warranty five years ago (which has been our best piece of furniture ever- leather couch with an electronic lifting forest!) Since we didn't make a claim, we got a certificate for the amount we paid for the warranty for another purchase. Originally I thought we would just go in and buy a lamp or a small item, but we saw the perfect couch and chair combo that we've been thinking about for a makeover to accommodate a bigger family. They were super helpful in moving the pieces around so we could see what it would like like and making sure we got the fabric choice we wanted. We had the most amazing experience with Jamie Pestana at RED KNOT and HOMEWORLD Aiea. First of all, we love Red Knot! We walked in the store and he greeted us right away. He was so helpful and went above and beyond for us. He was very professional, friendly and he made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. We were impressed with his knowledge and style. We live in town but from now on, we would drive to Aiea to have Jamie help us. Even after we left, he still helped me find other pieces that I was looking for in the store and emailed me the options. I am shopping for a new sofa and they have a decent sized selection, but you can't choose the color and style. Whatever color the sofa is on the floor is the only color you can get for that style. The prices are reasonable too. The sales person, Alex, was very helpful. He didn't follow us around 3 ft. away like other commission hungry stores I've been to, but he was close enough if I had any questions to answer and came around to offer information about their products when I seemed interested in something. read more

Red Knot and all the stores attached are so fun to browse through...beautiful artistic furniture, beds and art. It's addictive. We've bought 5 large pieces and a rug from here and love everything. Sherry and Margaret are both super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Today we had 4 pieces delivered and were thouroughly impressed with the professionalism and skills of the delivery men Ne and Gavin. Our condo isn't the easiest to access but they did an awesome job navigating everything up in perfect condition and setting it up where we wanted. read more

Just received a thank you card from Jake. We have been looking at different stores for living room furniture and couldn't find anything. Stopped in and I was in love. Similiar to Ikea's style. The prices comparable to others. Jake was out sales person didn't seem pushy like others, let us walk around, but was available if we had questions. We finally decided on a coffee table. My husband and I came just to browse around back in January. I can't remember who helped us but he was awesome! We were looking at a modular sectional (Augustus). He even moved it around for us to show us how the pieces go together. No pressure to purchase. I loved a lot of the modern pieces they have. Didn't purchase any furniture back in January. However we recently came in to finally get the sectional. I wished the guy who helped us before was there. Even though my husband and I knew what we wanted we felt rushed throughout the whole process, which is the reason why I rate 4 stars. This place has a good selection of affordable sofas and living room furniture. But I'm taking one star off is because only two or three of the sofas were in stock.
