Visited Kiso Store in Waipahu this past weekend. Wife finally got the pagoda she's been wanting for a long time. Though we found what we were looking for, there is a very limited stock to choose from. The gentlemen working that morning mentioned that the moldings are delivered every couple weeks and are not made in-house. I suppose the stock is at random because he said the local guy who makes the items just drops off what's casted for those weeks. FYI - Parking might be a little tricky if you're going when others are there. From what we noticed, there were only two openings for a vehicle to park parallel to the front gate along Waipahu street. Take notice of the signs if you plan to visit. Cash and credit accepted :)

Wow, I didn't even know this place existed and it's on the other side of the island. Even finding this place was not easy. I'm glad I called and a lady assisted me and mentioned they were across the park and near Texaco. I looked up Texaco and found them eventually. Actually I was near when I drove down Waipahu St but thought they were further down. I envisioned Kiso store with a parking lot, but I was wrong. Everything you need is outside in the open with a little enclosed area for their office. I didn't know where to park but I guess it depends what you need and just park nearby on the side. The nice lady mentioned that they didn't have many concrete pagodas that weekend and the son said the guy who makes them, will have a new delivery soon. I did find one for a friend's garden which was considered a standard size for Japanese garden. It looked like our pagoda by our pond. It was the cheapest at Ninety-three dollars. The Son of the older couple said the pagoda was made from packed cement like how their cemented pots were made. It's more grayish in color and not solid white (natural color) concrete as the larger pagodas and statues. Those white natural colored concrete pagodas were stronger and cost was all over $100. Across the yard there was a huge Pagoda which weighed over 300 lbs which makes it difficult for anyone to steal from any yard. I was told it would not fit in my car and would need a truck. If you need loose white coral or sand by the bulk, they are sold by the scoops only if you have a truck otherwise you can buy them by the bags. So hard to find Pagodas these days and I rather buy it here locally. A local supplier makes it and supply Kiso and other places. Someone mentioned to me that there might be some pagodas at the Garden Shop by Moanalua Shopping Center but you need to have Military ID to make a purchase. The son of the elderly owners or co-owners was very helpful with giving me the prices and placing the concrete pagoda pieces in my car. The Pagoda comes in pieces and he gave me suggestions to how to secure it in the yard. There's no parking stalls, but just park on the side. Probably best to park closer to what is needed. There was an one way in and out. They take cash or charge. The son mentioned his grandfather started the business 78 years ago (from what I remembered) and right now his parents runs it and later he and his cousin(s) will keep the store open. At home, we have some of concrete pagodas, bird bath and animals which my grandpa loved and may have purchase them from some place like here or maybe at the Kam Swap meet decades ago! His children all inherited his many concrete pieces as a gift from him. We didn't really appreciate it then but now i do since it's not as easy to find. It does enhance your Japanese garden and makes it complete with a nice concrete pagoda. Thanks goes out to my friend Iris T. for the helpful tip! Happy to have found this place! Thanks for reading my review! =)

They are the best. Working on landscaping our house. Was able to pickup items for interlocking brick for raised garden, new stone blocks for driveway , ambor stones for wall garden, concrete for lawn divider, and river rocks. They gave great service and lots of great advice. Will most definitely be back for other materials.

5 January 2021 We…read morewere in search of a chest of drawers and my mother remembered seeing a furniture store off the highway while driving by. So, we set out down Farrington Hwy in search of it. The warehouse was easy to find it is right off Farrington Hwy between Leokane and Pupukahi streets. When you pull off Farrington Hwy, you will be in the warehouse's parking lot, which has about 6 slots (1 handicap accessible) from what I remember. The lot looks like it is shared with another business but I don't remember the name however, I believe they are affiliated because the man that was standing in that doorway walked into the furniture store behind us. Once we walked in, a male employee greeted us and asked what were we looking for. I informed him that we were in search of a chest of drawers so he walked me to the back corner. Maybe my understanding of a chest of drawers is different? From what I've been taught, it is typically a bedroom furniture (you know, the one that goes in the bedroom where you store clothes?). In any case, he showed me something that looked more like a display cabinet typically for the living room. It was a beautiful case but, not practical for what I was looking for. Price - oh boy! The display case I was shown was $900+ The employee stated it was solid wood so I suppose that justified the price. Other items in the store were also pricey. I looked at a beautiful, solid wood again according to the employee, queen-size bed. When I asked for the price, he stated "approximately $11,000 for the set" which must be bought together. If I wanted just the bed, I would not be able to get it; set only. Delivery to Ewa Beach area would be about $150 (I am not sure the cost to deliver elsewhere). The store was packed with all sorts of "oriental" furniture. Their Facebook page states that the furniture is manufactured in their own factories but I'm not sure where those factories are located. When I asked where the furniture is from, the employee stated that they are from Japan, South Korea, and other Asian countries. He even showed me a display cabinet called Korean cabinet; only named so but not made in Korea. The store has some beautiful furniture with unique designs but it was not what I was looking for. Even if I loved something there, like the bed for example, the price was much too high for what I would spend.

My front yard was struggling, overtaken by weeds, under-watered, and too many grass types in one lawn. He methodically approached my project with a vision that aligned with mine to increase curb appeal. He used product to first kill the yard. Several weeks later after the grass/weeds were lifeless, he mowed, then tilled multiple times to loosen up the old thatch layer. He applied top soil and installed zoysia plugs. Some additional work that he completed was the repair of sprinkler lines to ensure all areas of the yard had good overlapping coverage of watering. He revamped the planter area with some red cinder and installed edging that I selected from Home Depot made of hard rubberized material. Overall, I am thorougly pleased with the final product and would recommend Ernesto Yard Service to family and friends. I sent an inquiry via the internet and to my surprise I received at phone call the same day wanting to know if they might be able to answer any questions and asking if we would like to get a in-home estimate for the work that might need to be done ( free of charge). We had to take them up in this offer and we weren't disappointed. Al came to our home, sat down with us explaining the different options and what this project might entail financially. If we were Happy with the product that was being presented, Al suggested that we go to the showroom and see the product in a "real life" display, adding that Kevin would be able to answer any and all questions that we might have. Well he did, and explained to us every option available and being extremely patient with us (even though our twins were quite the distraction). We would recommend InSolid as a great company to deal with, and although our project is on hold for the time being, we have NO doubt that when it time is right we'll SURELY go with InSolid.
