Poor service after install. This rating is at a 3 versus a 1 as the original shower is very nice - and should be for $10,000 (back in 2014)! The customer service for needed maintenance is a NEGATIVE 1 if that was an option. After my third call back awaiting my promised confirmation of a date to get cleaning scheduled (which requires a professional to do light sanding) I was told, the supervisor said they were too busy and wouldn't do it. She did eventually give me some referrals once I asked but by that time I was very frustrated that they weren't willing to take care of a $10,000 shower they installed. Some of this could've been avoided if the representative would've said "I'm sorry we're booked way out, but here are a few people you might call to get help". Originally she said they could come the next week but just needed to confirm that with the supervisor who apparently decided it was too small a job. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I contracted for InSolid to provide me a seamless shower enclosure that was SUPPOSED to be completed on 05-May-2022. 05-May - William "Scott" Allen, Owner of InSolid, advised our project is still set to be completed in May 2022. 09-May - Shower pan installed. 23-May - I sent an email to InSolid after absolutely no communications from them. (18 day blackout). 26-May - The right-hand panel and the back panel of my shower enclosure was installed. 13-Jun - I contacted InSolid since I received no communications from them (19 day blackout). 30-Jun - The left-hand panel of my shower enclosure was installed. I was advised by the installation chief to let the glue permanently set for 24 hours. I hesitated to look closer at the "final" product until more than 24 hours elapsed. 04-Jul - Sent email to InSolid (owner and sales associate) since I finally looked closer at the shower enclosure, and noticed seams and chips in the wall artwork I submitted, damage to my residence, and artwork I submitted did not match the final artwork on the shower walls. An InSolid employee was scheduled to return to my residence to grout/caulk the edges of the shower enclosure for usability. --William "Scott" Allen's response was to re-route the InSolid employee to "other work". He stated he would inspect my project the week of 05-Jul.....which didn't happen. -----At this point, the shower enclosure was still not useable; no shower fixtures, no grouting/caulking of enclosure edges. 25-Jul - I contacted InSolid since I received no communications from them (21-day blackout). 28-Jul - Morning--Plumbing fixtures (which were sitting on the shower floor) were installed. 28-Jul - Afternoon - William "Scott" Allen assessed the status of my shower enclosure in-person and stated fixing all the issues would take one day at most. 16-Aug - William "Scott" Allen extended a discount as compensation for the inconvenience of being without a working shower. I agreed to the discount. 30-Aug - An InSolid employee grouted/caulked the edges of my shower enclosure. I needed to wait at least 24 hours prior to use shower. GRAND TOTAL of more than 118 days of not being able to use my shower, and a grand total of 58 DAYS of absolutely NO COMMUNICATIONS from InSolid....no text, no email, no phonecall. Even if I received a text telling me I haven't been forgotten would have put my mind at ease. 14-Sep - Holes and crack in shower enclosure design noticed, and InSolid was advised. 23-Sep - William "Scott" Allen and his spouse showed up to fix stated issues (cracks, chips, wall damage, etc.). William "Scott" Allen stated the reason why my project was so delayed was due to COVID (sick personnel), equipment breakdown, change of personnel, etc. I insisted all I want is what was promised to me, a seamless shower enclosure. When I declined William "Scott" Allen's proposed resolution, he used a NUMBER OF EXPETIVES and "F-BOMBs", and stated he NEVER WANTS ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY PROJECT EVER AGAIN. When William "Scott" Allen was departing my residence (shouting expletives and "F-Bombs" all the way to the front door), I asked Scott (over his F-Bomb-laced tirade), "So you are walking away from this project and terminating the contract?", his response was a string of more expletives and F-Bombs. BUYER BEWARE: In my specific instance, InSolid seemed to have accepted any/all newer business and pushed my project to the much LOWER PRIORITY category. Insolid DAMAGED MY RESIDENCE (AND DIDN'T FIX IT), DAMAGED the product I contracted for (at least two dents/dings from hammers used by installers), FAILED to clean jobsite (installers dropped glue onto the shower floor, which hardened) yet FAILED TO CORRECT IT, and DID NOT provide what they were contracted for: Contract Exhibit A, para 2.:" Seam may be slightly apparent and not invisible, but will be seamless and smooth without a gap or crevice."....and my shower enclosure IS NOT SEAMLESS, HAS GAPS, HAS CREVICES, HAS A CRACK, and I now HAVE DAMAGE DONE TO MY RESIDENCE THAT INSOLID CAUSED AND DID NOT FIX!!! All damage to my residence, my shower enclosure, and shower enclosure artwork was not caused by me. The communications blackouts (at least 58 total days) was not caused by me. Time spent waiting for my shower enclosure to be usable again (118 days) was not due to my negligence. When I didn't agree with William "Scott" Allen's proposed potential resolution (which is my right), I was met with "F-Bombs", derision, and yelling. I find it amazing and unfortunate an ADULT business owner would resort to juvenile behavior and language (with multiple expletives and F-Bombs) towards a customer who didn't agree with him....just sad and INEXCUSABLE. After 37 years, we finally decided to pull the trigger on a kitchen & bath redo. First step is the shower in the master bathroom. Our original as built by Gentry had a fiberglass floor & cultured marble walls. The walls were still in pretty good shape but the floor definitely needed replacing. I already resurfaced it with a white epoxy finish about 7 years ago. That didn't last long. The area around the drain started chipping away within a year. Fighting the mildew around the caulk was also becoming a chore. After hearing about and seeing the seamless Corian units at InSolid, I knew that this was the route we'd be taking. The hardest decision was choosing the panel colors/pattern. Although they do also sell shower sets and grab bars, we opted to save a few dollars by purchasing them at Lowe's/City Mill/Home Depot. Demo'ing your old unit and plumbing the new fixtures can be done by the homeowner but we opted to have InSolid handle everything. The work from beginning to end was top notch. Elice was very helpful with everything from choosing the options to keeping me updated on scheduling. We are currently planning a redo on our other shower. There's no doubt that we will once again go seamless with InSolid. read more

We hired "INSOLID HAWAII" to convert our master bedroom bathroom from tub/tile to Corian solid seamless walk in shower. Elise was our sales person, she was a great help in assisting us on color, material, design, cost and organizing the schedule. Isaac and Anthony were very professional and quality of work was excellent from demolition, disposal of old tub to installation of Corian walk in shower. Both gentlemen were very detailed oriented and showed me they loved this type of work. Gilbert was very professional and does excellent plumbing work. He also was very detailed and knowledgeable about the different types of shower fixtures. Konrad did a great job of laying out the template to fabricate the Corian walk in shower. He was very professional and knowledgeable about solid/seamless showers. He gave us ideas and recommendations to ensure we would be happy with the finished product. We recently have been putting some thought into redoing our 4 bathrooms since our home is almost 40 yrs old and frankly the bathrooms have seen much better days. I sent an inquiry via the internet and to my surprise I received at phone call the same day wanting to know if they might be able to answer any questions and asking if we would like to get a in-home estimate for the work that might need to be done ( free of charge). We had to take them up in this offer and we weren't disappointed. Al came to our home, sat down with us explaining the different options and what this project might entail financially. If we were Happy with the product that was being presented, Al suggested that we go to the showroom and see the product in a "real life" display, adding that Kevin would be able to answer any and all questions that we might have. Well he did, and explained to us every option available and being extremely patient with us (even though our twins were quite the distraction). We would recommend InSolid as a great company to deal with, and although our project is on hold for the time being, we have NO doubt that when it time is right we'll SURELY go with InSolid. We've been talking about a seamless shower for a number of years and only recently got to stop by InSolid's show room. We talked to Elise about what we wanted and the need to keep the price affordable. Elise took the time to explain all the options available and made suggestions to maximize the usefulness of the shower enclosure. She was able to give us a ball park figure of the cost. We took some time to consider the cost and finally decided to go for it. Elise came out for an on site estimate. We made some changes from our initial meeting and agreed on the installation. Set the start date, a couple of months out as they were pretty busy. The process was pretty uneventful. They came and ripped out the old stuff, redid the plumbing as requested, and measured for the new enclosure. It took several days for them to semi construct the enclosure at their factory. The enclosure was brought in and installed. Plumber returned to finish the plumbing installation. The whole process took about ten days from start to finish but well worth it. It's not the cheapest way to go, but if you can fit it into your budget it's highly recommended and InSolid is the company to do the work. Great people from sales, demo personal and installers. And the finish product was excellent. Very happy. Highly recommended. read more

I used INSOLID for a number of projects. They had an artisen there who made beautiful cabinets...top notch, and years later, it still looks fabulous. I like Scott who used to be more involved and also had great ideas. The sales people are not designers per se, and didn't have the eye for what looks good ....my opinion. When Scott was involved...I was always happy. There was only one fellow who did installations that I liked...a real pro. Don't remember his name, but he wore a cap. Then, on my last project, things didn't run as smoothly...different project manager from the mainland, little experience, talked a lot, and the job took longer to finish, but it was a small job. I missed the guy with the cap, but he was probably on bigger jobs. All In all, except for my last project, I do think they do a good job. The best thing is they NEVER leave a mess, once they are pau.....everything in place and every speck of rubbish and dust.....,GONE. read more

InSolid was the only Corian installer who would install a Corian floor in our water closet. Other companies either would not do the job or wanted to install porcelain tile instead. Konrad with InSolid did an amazing job of installing the Corian floor, sloping the existing transition step into shower, and rough sanding two other Corian shower stalls. If you are being told it can't be done call InSolid. They are true to their word, show up on time and clean up after word. read more

I'm pretty disgusted with Kevin Kaauwai, Sales Manager. Via phone I called to schedule an appointment on 8/1; Unknown to me, he said that he knew that there was the BIA show the day that I scheduled my appointment with him, Saturday, 8/15 at 2 pm but he assured me that he would make it to my home that day. The BIA show should have not been a surprise for him. On Thurs, 8/13 I get this text: Hello XXX (spelled my name incorrectly), this is Kevin from InSolid. It seems like I won't be able to make our Saturday appointment at 2 o'clock because of the BIA show this weekend at the Blaisdell. I would like to reschedule for next week Saturday at the same time. Please confirm. My response via text: would you be able to make it during the week, after 330 pm? KK via text: If I have an opening next week in that time frame, I will let you know. I'm already booked but usually something opens up. SO it seems that I am not a valuable customer, I have not received a follow up to this day. I'm guessing he has got many new clients from the Saturday BIA show last month and I have been forgotten. Overall, I also feel I have a tight schedule and work Monday to Friday and most Saturdays so that I can afford such bathroom/shower renovation luxuries.... I was going to have to take off a bit early to make it to the 2pm Saturday appointment. I always try to plan all my appointments around my work schedule, even my doctor visits for my current pregnancy have been after work so if I foresee any problems I don't wait till the last minute to reschedule. The only reason that this review isn't one star is because I like what they do for showers and have family that have used them. Got my INSOLID shower walls installed today and am absolutely thrilled with the design and fit. From the start, INSOLID was there walking me through the process and helping me to select the best shower wall design and color combination. In a matter of days (yes, I said days), his crew was at my condo installing the shower walls. The installers were professional and the bathroom and walkway to the elevator were spotless and free of debris when they left. HUGE mahalo to Scott, Elise and crew for a job well done! This company, Insolid Hawaii, has television ads which led me to inquire of their services because we need bathrooms and kitchen remodeled using their product and service. The reply was quick saying they would get us a price quote if we would just send pictures and dimensions, which we did. Then we never heard back. We called and they assured us they would get right back to us--they never did. I e-mailed again and no response. That has been over two months ago. So why do they pay to advertise if they are not going to follow-up with potential customers?? read more

Recently renovated kitchen and both baths in 45 yr old house. Saw work done in neighbor's house and had them do installation of seamless showers and counter tops. Beautiful....no moldy grout to deal with anymore. All company employee were very courteous and efficient workers. 3 months later cracked solid surface kitchen counter with crock pot. Technician came and fixed crack with no charge to us. Also gave a solid surface pad to prevent direct heat to counter top. Awesome company.....Awsome product. read more

We saw them at the Product Show displayed Samsung Staron hard surface bathroom and kitchen countertops, so we chose them to change out our tub to shower. At the beginning everything was all good and most of the workers provide good service, there were several times where I found what was said did not fall in place. The misleading part is they will use an estimate checklist, very comprehensible, then they will switch to an entirely different final bill that is grouped and very general, so you get lost on what the actual charges played out to. Be careful. The hard labor workers made the company. Project manager will tell you to get your fixtures, whatever you want. Then when the installer comes in, he asks "who told you to get this?" he does not want to do or figure out how to install it...so you only limited to what the guy wants to do, which is not much....I'm paying over $1,000 for plumbing, nothing fancy. You will have to pay attention because project manager was gone most of the time, I did not think he cared at all, it was take it or leave it. read more

Getting tired of the mold and mildew, and re-doing the caulking of your bath tub walls? Well, I certainly did. After seeing television commercials of Insolid, I figured it was a sign for me to check it out. So I did...first online, than sending an inquiry via the internet. To make a long story short, I had my master bath tub surrounding wall replaced from tiles to a solid Corian surrounding wall (leaving the existing tub and plumbing fixtures)...I LOVE IT! :D I didn't even have to go to their show room. The sales person came to my house/condo with samples. There were some issues, but Insolid employees were all fantastic, and their responses were pretty much excellent...all were very professional and personable, to include Insolid's contract plumber (Gilbert). Things to know: 1. Demolition of previous tiles and drywall can be very dusty despite the efforts of their cleanup. But all-in-all, it could have been worse if they hadn't protected the floors, nor cleaned up, to include the demolition/installation area. 2. If suggested to have a "donut" (which looks like a half bagel-if the tub spout sticks out and is not flushed against the wall), I would not recommend the "donut/half bagel", as it may cause issues such as what I had (i.e. leaking to the downstairs unit, seepage at the seam between the tub and the wall, and shifting of the "donut/half bagel" and/or the spout). No additional costs were incurred by this owner. During the demolition of the previous tile and dry walls, the installation of the new dry wall and Corian surround wall, to the touch ups that had to be fixed (thank you Issac, and Gilbert), all were very careful of the interior of my house/condo with very minimal damage. Recently, Isaac and Gilbert came back to remove the "donut" and fix the problem. Thank you Isaac and Gilbert...It's like having a new surrounding wall all over again...I love it!!! :D :D :D Despite the issues, I highly recommend Insolid!!! All were professional and personable. I have used this company to perform work in my kitchen and bathroom for my past 4 homes. The results have always been perfection! The hardest part is to select the color combination from their many samples. Sometimes it is difficult to select from the 2" samples and I suggest you visit their showroom to get a better sense of the color selction (large slabs). I really like their product as it eliminates scrubbing the hard to clean tile grout lines. My bathtub does not have the mildew smell. I always ask for Issac and Doug to perform my jobs. Building a new home on Kauai presented numerous challenges and deciding on a bathroom application was no different. I am so happy we found an ad for Insolid in a magazine and checked it out. Everyone there was so professional, informative, and ready to offer assistance. After spending time in the showroom choosing colors (which isn't easy) and listening to their expert advice, we contracted to do two baths completely, the counter in the 3rd bath plus the laundry room. The installers showed up right on schedule and even cleaned up when they were finished! Not only did everything turn out beautifully, but it is so easy to maintain I know it will stay that way. I would highly recommend this company to everyone! They offer superb products at fair prices with expert fabrication and installation!
