Got new quartz countertops for our guest and primary bathrooms from Tom and Josh in sales at 1/2 the cost compared to other countertop businesses. We had two-bathroom quartz counters and waterfalls installed by Premier Stoneworks. The contact person and coordinator were Judith, who coordinated our measurement and installation during the height of the Corona virus cases. She was patient, flexible, and fitted us in after a temporary company shutdown, a request by me to delay the installation, and my own health issues. The installation of the counters by Nalu and Junior went very well and the result was stunning. Premier has the machinery to cut absolutely straight lines for the sink and waterfall. Unlike some of the cheaper companies that cut the sink holes that are not straight as you can see the shadow of the edges are not linear. The waterfall joint with the counter looked like one piece as you cannot see the joint. The veining continued down the waterfall and up the backsplash. They completed the installation in a day and stayed to 7PM to get everything completed. We are very happy with the result and will not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. read more

From beginning to end, my experience with Premier Stoneworks was easy and smooth. Tom, the owner simplified the entire process. First of all, if you have a small job which just requires a remnant, they have a wide selection on hand. No job is too small or unimportant for Tom. I believe that he takes the same, caring approach with all customers. In my case, it was a simple stone countertop for an existing, wooden bathroom vanity. See the before and after photos. I found a honed stone that looked perfect with my existing tile backsplash. Just a few days later, it was cut with polished edges, ready for installation. I asked Tom is he could recommend a plumber and he referred us to Tim who arrived the day before the countertop installation to assess the situation. The following day, Paul and Tony, the countertop installers arrived. Neat and tidy, they drilled holes for the faucet and vessel sink on-site. Tim, the plumber then returned to reinstall our existing sink and faucet. He even fixed the previous bad plumbing job. Im very upset at this company especially at Tom for stringing us along. We've been messaging Tom from October. He is very difficult to communicate with and kept rescheduling our installs. He came to our house 2 times to match the wood and also to retake measurement. Honestly we should of cancelled the first time when he said he would be there at 12 and didn't show up till 2. He kept saying he'll let us know dates to install our dishwasher and cabinet. I wanted it to be installed by thanksgiving, he ignored text and then reschedule. We wanted it installed at least before Christmas he was ify with the dates again and ignored. Now it's the final time he confirmed for tomorrow and ghosted us all week to reconfirm for tomorrow. My husband took off from work to be here. So this not only cost us lost of income it makes our house appear messy for the holidays when family stopped by. Our dishwasher has been sitting in its bulky box in our kitchen for over 2 months. Not sure what's going on with this company but I'm convinced these reviews have to be 1 really old reviews or 2 not honest and written by family, friends, or employees because the communication has been awful. LOCATION OF BUSINESS: This business is centrally located in the Halawa Industrial area with everything under one roof....stone slab samples in showroom upstairs, warehouse/fabrication downstairs SCOPE OF JOB: Get rid of the outdated "tile" countertops in kitchen & replace with quartz or granite countertop, preferably using remnants to keep cost low since areas are relatively small. (We live in a 750sf townhouse). FIRST CONTACT: On 4/18/19 Tom Pham (owner) & Johnny came to our townhouse within a few days of placing the phone call to see what needed to be done. I was pretty impressed with their quick response. And to top that off, after only 4 days of coming to our house we got the proposal which came in under $3000, another wonderful surprise (had expected to wait at least a week for pricing). Since we had not yet looked at any materials for the actual countertop, the proposal was for only the fabrication, demo, installation. Still a pretty good deal. ALTERNATE QUOTES: OK, so who doesn't like to get at least 1 or 2 other proposals, right?? One guy quoted close to $6000 for everything & this other guy tells us that he can't just replace countertops, he'd have to replace ALL the cabinets AND a side wall. I'm like WTH!!!???? Obviously he didn't want to take on such a small job. CONTRACTED: After returning from our vacation we contacted Tom which was on 6/5/29. We went to his warehouse/showroom to look at the inventory of slab remnants & couldn't find the exact color I was looking for...he suggested that we check out another warehouse that a family member of his owned. We agreed, met him there the following week (6/12/19) & within 5 minutes I found the perfect color quartz slab remnant (under $1000) AMAZING. While there, we received contract in hand & we were set. THE WORK: On 6/17/19 at the designated time, Josh & Alex show up & get to work doing the demo & templates. These guys are professional, personable, know their trade well & took time to carefully remove existing tile countertops without damaging the wall tiles, which we planned to keep as part of the color scheme. They communicated well...never assumed any part of the work, always asked questions, made sure each step of the way was exactly how we wanted it. I really appreciated that, didn't have to wonder. Besides helping with the demo, Alex removed the sink/plumbing fixtures & agreed to replace it himself (for separate price) once job was done. That was a major convenience in not having to call someone else. It took a little more than half a day for that part of the work. Later that day Tom, the owner, stopped by to see how things went. Loved that he took the time to check in with us...especially because he was dealing with his own personal family tragedy that had just happened the day before. Josh & Alex returned on 6/19/19 at the agreed upon time & began installation which for the most part ran smoothly, everything was methodically put in place, including the kitchen sink with running water. Once again Tom stopped by to see if we were satisfied & told us if we needed anything to let him know. We are so very happy with how our new quartz countertops turned out. Unfortunately, my first 3 choices were not available right away due to COVID supply issues and Cosentino couldn't give an accurate time frame of when they may get certain slabs in. Jennifer at PS helped me to find one that was within the parameters of what I wanted as well as in stock. I was a bit nervous going with a style that wasn't initially on my radar but once it was installed, it looked great! We've waited for almost two decades to upgrade our kitchen (yeah, life happened) and our quest to find a quality, competent and affordable professional to drag our humble kitchen out of the 90's, brought us to the front steps of Premier Stoneworks. From start to end, the entire team there was willing to work with our stringent budget and was so attentive to our needs, even though it was such a small job. Most fabricators on island wouldn't even consider our project unless we overhauled the entire kitchen cabinets ($$$). Thankfully, the Vietnamese "old man" they collaborate with to prep the cabinets (no, seriously, that's what they call him!), was more than up to task. Sure, he moaned and grunted in frustration while attempting to make our sloping cabinets square but the moment everything came into place (6 hours later!), his sincere yelp of satisfaction endeared him to us as he relished in the pride of his own workmanship. Throughout this visit, Ed (who took care of us from Day 1) was there to oversee the project, ensuring that everything was done to specs (while constantly vacuuming the space). Even Tom, the owner, dropped by several times to ensure that all was up to snuff. We felt like VIPs. Next - the counter top. The slab we had selected wasn't quite large enough to do everything that we wanted, so Ed took the initiative to source elsewhere for a more suitable product to meet our needs. He found something comparable with more give on clearance to save us from purchasing a second slab and having to make compromises. We couldn't have been more grateful. Template: Josh and Michael were knowledgeable, efficient and so pleasant to work with. They came, they saw and conquered all the quirkiness of our cabinets to make the frame. Great guys. Day of installation: in spite of being short staffed (cold season), the crew still arrived on time (with Tom in tow). They had to leave a large fancy job in Portlock to meet this appointment and they didn't disappoint, adding to their reputation for their commitment to customer service, regardless of price point (earning this strong endorsement in full). Ultimately, all this rhetoric would be moot if the final product failed to deliver. When our kitchen was finally restored a week later to perfection - goosies! It's amazing how changing just the counter top could transform the mood and feel within our home and evoke such joy. I can see our family enjoying the updated space for the next 20 years and I have Tom, Ed, ShinAe, the "old man", the original Josh, "sexy-eyed" Josh, and Michael to thank from the bottom of our hearts. PS: Knowing that my son is a cancer survivor, Ed came over the next day bearing the gift of organic distilled vinegar to use as a cleaner. Their pricing was excellent and very competitive compared to the other shops I called. Their customer service and attention to detail was outstanding. They were able to help me inspect the stone and showed me flaws I would not have seen otherwise. I called about a dozen places looking for 2 pieces of backsplash. Wasn't picky, any type of stone, black, white, or gray, I'll cut it myself, polish myself. Most was a flat out no. My favorite was the guy that kept complaining he had to, "go in the back and look" like i was asking him to go to the quarry and cut me a piece with his bare hands. Sent a Yelp request to Premier and got a call within minutes. Went to their shop in Halawa and they actually ended up giving me some remnent pieces for free! We had received a quote from this company for replacement of our backsplash and to have an access stone (same stone as our counters) behind the stove. Everything was set, but one day before the work was to be completed, they contacted me and said their employees threw away the stone for behind the stone. They said they would query other companies to see if they could procure another piece. I never here from them again, despite me reaching out to them twice. If you want to be lied to, given multiple lame excuses about why they haven't worked on your project, if you want to wait months to have your small project completed and then be overcharged for amateur workmanship then hire this company. They won't respond to your emails, phone calls or text messages when they realize you have discovered the true nature of their poor company business practices. Every person I spoke to blamed someone else for the problems with my project. My experience: I found and selected this company based on good Yelp reviews. I now question the validity of those good reviews. I visited their Oahu location mid November 2021, met Judi Rod (office manager) who was pleasant although clearly unable to focus and disorganized. She helped me to select a beautiful but discontinued quartz (Silestone from Cosentino) to replace old kitchen counter tops. Even though no discount was offered for the discontinued product, I left my hefty deposit with Judi who said she would let me know when my 1 slab project would be ready to install. This is where any positive experience ended. Note: demo of your existing counter tops is not included in their price quote- yet another thing that was not communicated to me until later. You must pay for that. You also must pay at least $100 for them to pick up your slab from the nearby distributor. Throughout this process, I would email/text a few questions to Judi and she might respond by answering only one of my questions. She constantly stated how busy she is and how much she is doing for the project. Excuses, blame and delays: "We are SOOOOO busy! We have a lot of large Home Depot orders to finish. We are short staffed. We'll be picking up your slab on Thursday. It's the holiday season. We are soooooo busy! We didn't pick up your slab because the Cosentino dock workers have COVID. We won't be able to finish your project this year. We are sooooo busy! We will pick up your slab next Friday. I'm going to Maui. Sorry, we had an emergency meeting with mainland office so I couldn't call you. We are sooooo busy! We picked up your slab on Monday. We need to reschedule your installation for next week. We are having issues with our crew. We are sooooo busy! We have a huge backlog of projects. We are hiring new staff. What was that sink dimension again? We are soooo busy!" The message here: your project is not important to us. Period. We just want your money and nothing else matters. "We are soooooo busy!" Judi (the office manager) came to my house to measure for my counter tops. I think she was trying to ease my concerns about the delays. In the end, sending this office manager to measure for a final install did not help my project. Judi is NOT an installer - she is the office manager! After she left my house my sense of dread only worsened; I felt trapped due to the costs already expended (that would be lost if I cancelled) and I was hoping it would get better. It didn't. Installation nightmare: I confirmed with Judi on Friday 01/07 regarding my scheduled installation on Monday 01/10/22 because I had to coordinate the plumber and install timing appropriately. To my surprise on Sunday, 01/11 Judi called me from her car to tell me she couldn't find the sink cutout information: wait, what? That info, and the sink template was provided to Judi weeks prior. She told me my job was finished on Friday 01/07! So it was then I realized they were scrambling to finish my project the day before the install. The crew was to arrive 01/10 between 10am/11am. No show. At this point I was angry. Calls to Judi, as well as texts and emails went ignored. I finally called the main store phone and spoke to Jennifer who said the crew was on the way. A newly hired assistant installer arrived at 1:30 and started demo of the old counter tops. The main installer arrived 90 minutes later. The sink cutout was not square, so the sink looked "crooked". One of the quartz tops at the stove was cut too short. I learned the installers are not the ones who actually cut the slab. I asked who does their quality control before material leaves their shop for install, the answer - "well I'm just the installer". Additional questions of the installers were fruitless, because no one communicates anything to them. Part of the install slowness was that the new assistant was being trained - using my job for practice. By 7:30 pm that day the installers still had not finished! Thankfully, the main installer took the poorly fabricated sink top slab home with him to correct the bad sink cutout done by an apparently inexperienced fabricator. The lead installer promised to show up at 6am the following day. He arrived at 7am and took another two hours to finally finish the job. For the short piece next to my stove, I had to settle on that one (no overhang) because by that time felt completely traumatized and overwhelmed by the entire experience and I just needed the whole awful ordeal to be over. Had an old range in the kitchen that was slightly narrower than modern ranges and needed the granite countertops cut in order to fit the new one. Not a standard job, or a big one, so was glad that they took it on. A few days later Ed and Mark showed up and got everything done. Friendly, helpful, and professional. When it turned out I needed a touch-up on the cut, they came back and took care of it right away. Great experience, and highly recommend this company. read more

This review is a little delayed as I've been to busy to post The first thing that impressed me with this company was how fast the response time was when I inquired info for a quote. Based on that and some of the other reviews I read I decided to get a estimate. I already knew exactly what I needed as I'm a contractor and had all the dimensions, so I provided them with that info and got a proposal pretty quickly. Price was reasonable so I decided to pull the trigger. They were going to try and do everything with remnants from there shop but that didn't work out so I ultimately bought my own tops and had them fabricated and installed them. It took quite awhile once I signed contract and paid deposit to actually get to me. The one thing that irritated me was there lack of communication after the proposal was signed. I would call and leave messages and emails several times and got no response for like a week later. Anyhow they finally got the countertops fabricated and came to install. The crew was nice but weren't completely prepared. They had no shop vac to clean up inside which I ended up letting them use mine. They did take pretty good care of surrounding areas for the most part, got a few dings in the walls but pretty minor. My biggest complaint was they had to grind the tops in my front entry outside and made a huge mess with dust every where and didn't clean up outside at all. Overall, the countertops look nice but with all the hassle I went through not sure if I would use them again. read more

My Husband Ken and I would like to thank the staff with Premier Woodcraft and Stone in Aiea Hawaii, for the wonderful service and experience we received during the selection, measurement, and installation of our new quartz kitchen counter tops. ShinAe Yu met us early Saturday, March 7. She provided us with information what types of stone available, as well as the grades of stone. We made our selection and scheduled for the first measurement visit on Tuesday March 10. The staff showed up at time that was arranged, provide step by step and took notes of what we would like the counter to look like. That evening Mrs. Yu contacted us to ensure all our questions were answered. Two days later we received our quote, it was exactly what we expected. On Tuesday March 17, Ed Thaniyaphol and Tom Pham arrived at the on time. They were very polite in a relaxed business manner. They completed the template working as a well working team. Inline with the timeline provided Ed and Tom showed up on Friday March 20 to install the countertop. They were completed in the time designated. From the selection of The Quartz the to the installation it took two weeks. This was great as we had a very short window of time to get the job done. This has been the best part of the kitchen renovation. I would recommend Premier Woodcraft and Stone to anyone looking to install stone counters in their home. ShinAe Yu is easy to talk to and she listens to the customer as well as provides guidance with no harsh sell. Her focus is providing the customer with quality customer services. We already had a piece of quartz, which we brought into the Premier Stoneworks shop, along with our newly purchased bathroom sink. He gave us a very good price and completed the job exactly on the day in which he had estimated it would be ready for pick up.
