We recently had our downstairs flooring upgraded in several rooms by Bauer Flooring. I received a few different on site quotes. But I was really drawn to Bauer because their team was noticeably thoughtful as they evaluated my existing flooring, and the strategy they discussed in how best to tackle the project. It was clear that this was a company that took pride in every project they took on, and were not in the habit of cutting corners. It was also a very competitive bid compared to other well-known flooring companies. They did not disappoint. From a duration estimate, professionalism, availability / communication, and quality standpoint, we could not be more pleased. The leveling and floor preparation process alone was something to be behold. Previous to hiring them, I had idle thoughts of taking on our flooring as a DIY. But there's no way I could have done what they did in this leveling process. We had 3 different types of floors across this space, and before they even began the installation, the preparation / leveling could have almost stood as a completed "concrete" floor. I even joked with the installer that just in removing / leveling what we had previously, they had already improved the look and continuity of our flooring. In the end, we're extremely pleased with the vinyl flooring installed as well as the baseboards and the new aesthetic it all creates for our downstairs. It's hard to find good companies that stand by their work and workmanship. I cannot sing any higher praises for Bauer Flooring! We are absolutely ecstatic. read more

Bauer flooring came recommended by our property manager and reviews matter. After 12 years of renters our carpets were done and since we were returning to Oahu we decided to have everything replaced. Brian gave us detailed quotes for carpet and luxury vinyl planks that helped us assess how much we might spend. We ended up going with carpet again and his crew started the next day. Both of his guys were professional and respectful of the property while installing carpeting. They then stored the old carpet in the garage for disposal the next day. Brian was busy with another customer but sent his amazing assistant Denise over to review the work and see if we had any issues. There was one minor detail that was fixed on the spot with a corner. Overall the project included stairs, landings, a hallway, three bedrooms and closets; Bauer Flooring had it all completed in one day. Brian runs a professional business with excellent communication, flexibility for timeframes, great installers, and A+ craftsmanship. A true credit to their trade. read more

Choose Bauer Flooring for your next project you won't regret it!! Brian was excellent with communication starting from day 1 of us reaching out for a quote. He came shortly after to get measurements and an approximate timeline. We were told flooring was gonna take 3 weeks to come in and they started on time. Our project was during the holidays and they still showed up! Very happy with the product we chose and the workmanship done. From the leveling to the baseboards, the attention to detail was great. Thank you Bauer flooring for transforming our house! read more

A RAVING FAN FOR LIFE Brian Bauer, Denise, Derek, and Vince were a dream team. Denise was the closer, she made sure everything was perfect and caught things that escaped even my husband's eagle eye. Their energy was fantastic; you could tell that they genuinely enjoyed each other's company, and they did an exquisite job. I was impressed from start to finish, and they turned our cheap, damaged flooring into something that makes me smile every time I walk on it. Their level of integrity is astounding, and even though I asked them to do some really challenging custom work, they absolutely exceeded my expectations with how it turned out. Thank you read more

Brian and his group were very professional and maintained constant communication with us. They talked us through all the details and finishing work to make sure we were happy. Brain and his crew (Denise and Brandon) did such an amazing job on top of accommodating me with only 2weeks short notice of job needing to be done. ( Talk about above and beyond) All the way from demolition to laying LV flooring throughout my 2300 sq. Ft home in only 6days with outstanding work making sure no corners were cut just to meet my tight deadline (nothing but dedication and excellence) Not only do I highly recommend this company because of the excellent work they provide but it's very hard to find a trusting company now days rest assured Brain, the owner sure is very honest and that is very hard to come across. I'll definitely be referring Bauer Flooring to all my Family and friends. Keep up the fantastic and honest work Brain and crew. It was a pleasure doing business with you. read more

I contacted Bauer flooring & Tile after reading great reviews here on Yelp. I had almost gone with another company on Bougainville street but their installation price was exorbitant. Brian stopped by the same day I reached out to discuss my project and verify existing conditions and overall dimensions. We were able to discuss installation details (I dislike transition strips at interior doorways) and decided on a beautiful glue down, eco friendly and affordable vinyl plank. They started the demo during a heavy rains but persevered. The installation crew was wonderful, showed up when expected and were focused on a quality installation. Each day Brian would text me that the crew was on their way. And throughout my project he would stop by to check progress and to ensure the installation quality himself. I couldn't be happier with everything regarding my beautiful new flooring! I highly recommend this company! read more

This is the best flooring service I have found on Oahu. Superb quality, excellent service, and fast. The flooring is awesome.

HOW TO EXCEED A CUSTOMER'S EXPECTATION If other flooring companies possess a desire to find out how to exceed a customer's expectation, just ask Bauer Flooring. Bauer Flooring has it all, service, quality, price, and trustworthiness. Brian Bauer, Denise, Derek, and Vince were the flooring dream team with the "right stuff". For many years we pondered over our desire to replace our 30 year old carpet and to remedy our very uneven concrete foundation which was the result of the previous homeowner expanding the home in various segments over the years. This caused the foundation to have several control joints with dips and humps. Another shortcoming was that minimal effort was made by past contractors to remedy the high ground moisture. Thus water vapors at times would permeate through the foundation making our carpet feel mildly damp beneath our feet. Upon removing the carpet and exposing the problem foundation, things definitely looked very intimidating since we had chosen vinyl planking to be installed that required a smooth flat surface. Brian Bauer, the owner of Bauer Flooring, did state that our home was the most challenging foundation that they had encountered on the jobsite. Bauer Flooring used a combination of concrete grinding, epoxy bond, waterproofing sealant, and leveling compound to water seal and smooth out the surface in preparation for the underlayment sheet and vinyl planks. Derek and Vince performed the lion's share of plank installation on the floors and steps leading up to the second level. Installing vinyl plank on steps seemed very intricate, and this alone took more than a couple of days to complete. Denise is very detail oriented and does quality assurance spot checks and performs many of the final touches to finesse the job to take it from good to great. Brian dropped by frequently to check on the progress and to pitch in with help. As the owner he is very approachable, humble, and trustworthy in nature. Everyone was friendly and courteous, and we sincerely enjoyed Bauer Flooring working on our home. Mahalo for the beautiful new floor! read more

Two years ago we had Bauer Flooring install luxury vinyl planks in our study and couldn't be happier with their product and service. So, when we needed to replace our 30+ year old carpeting in the bedrooms, we again turned to Bauer Flooring. We chose a quality LVP product from the samples that Brian brought over. The installation crew (Denise, Derrick, and Vince) worked quickly, quietly, and diligently to remove the old carpeting and pad, prep the subfloor, and install the beautiful grey oak planks. To top it off, they installed good quality baseboards which is so much better than the cove base we had before. After the work was done, Denise and her keen eye made sure that the project was properly completed. It was again a pleasure working with Brian and his crew. Brian is such a humble guy that gives all credit to his employees. I highly recommend Bauer Flooring and Tile LLC for any flooring project! read more

I have known of Bauer Flooring and Tile for many years now as I once served as the head of security for the property that they operate off of, it was from interactions with Mr.Bauer in that capacity that I learned he is a solid guy who likes to get the things he needs to get done done. So it came to pass 7 months after leaving that place for a new job my family decided that we should tear out the carpets in our house and switch to a vinyl plank instead. I immediately thought of Bauer Flooring and Tile and recommended them to the people that make the decisions. Brian and his team were the lowest quote we received so they shook hands on a deal for 5 bedrooms, 2 hallways and a set of stairs. The workers Brian sent worked hard, they respected the fact that we had animals in our house that we did not want escaping (this actually caused a delay when we couldn't catch one of them on one of the work days). The work was scheduled around our needs and Brian and his crew bent to last minute changes more than once when a family something or another came up on a day they should have been onsite. The floor was done quickly and correctly, if there were any sort of hang ups we were informed right away and given the problem and the solution they were going to use to solve it. Our floors are awesome and was happy enough with the work myself that I forwarded his information to my parents for their next project. You can't beat this guy's price and work, I'm almost 100% sure of it. Bauer Custom Flooring has my 5 star review and strong recommendation. read more

Brian from Bauer Flooring was very professional and kept his word on budget and completion date. I've dealt with many contractors in renovating my condo and this experience by far was the smoothest. What made this project particularly challenging was moving my furniture from room-to-room; he and his crew had to dismantle and reassemble large furniture pieces one room at a time. This added to the level of difficulty. In total, he did my living room and bedroom, taking only five days. They poured concrete, installed flooring, reattached my baseboards without damaging them, reassembled my furniture and put everything back into place. The entire experience was turn key. They even came back to adjust my door hinge on my cabinet that was off, free of charge. As a bonus, he sent pictures every day on the progress of each room to keep the job on track and to ensure that they used the materials that they promised. I highly recommend Bauer Flooring. read more

Brian, Denise, and Brandon were awesome to work with! I got estimates from 2 other companies, along with quotes from Home Depot and Bougainville, and Brian's quote was the most fair and reasonable. The quality of the product Brian provides is much more superior to the material others provided and at a reasonable price point. Brian is very knowledgeable and was able to explain the flooring options I was interested in, along with any concerns I had. What I appreciated most about my interaction with each of the members in Brian's team is that they went above and beyond in answering my questions. Even those not related to flooring. They were kind, clean, and accommodating. I needed to finish a wall before they could install the baseboards, so they prepped the baseboards for me and offered to return to install it. I find comfort in working with honest and genuine people, and I believe Brian and his team represent that. We will be going with Bauer Flooring & Tile LLC for all our future flooring projects! read more

Brian and Denise work as an awesome team and completed our flooring project at half the cost of the quote from a mainland home improvement chain. I reached out to Brian from Yelp for a quote and he responded immediately. We made an arrangement to measure the areas to be worked on later in the week, and after the inspection, we got the quote later that same evening. To save us some money, he reused our existing baseboards without removing them and added a shoe molding to it to cover the edge of the new flooring. We could never tell and it looked excellent. They completed the job in 5 days, and cleaned up the place to cleaner than it was before the job. Don't hesitate to give them a try...you won't be disappointed read more

I live on the mainland and had a rental property needing new flooring. I had a tight budget and reached out to Bauer Flooring. I was please to correspond with Bryan and set up a meeting with him and a family member in Hawaii to look over some samples and all of the logistics. Bryan was on time to meet my family member, gave me a more than fair price and had the install completed on time. I communicated closely with one of his employees Denise and she was very friendly and good about getting me photos and updates via text. Brian Bauer and his team accommodated our every need. We needed our floors done very quickly as we only had two weeks before move-in. Brian brought samples to our home in the late evening to accommodate my busy schedule. Anytime I texted or emailed him, he would respond back to me within the hour. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and honest. He also had the best prices out of all the quotes I had gotten. He even let me use his contractors discount for supplies. We hired Brian and his team initially to change the carpet in our bedrooms only but after further consideration, we asked them to remove tile in our kitchen and living rooms and replace it with laminate. Brian and his team were so awesome, very reliable, friendly, and trustworthy. They scheduled the job quickly as we needed to coordinate the tile removal with the demolition of our kitchen cabinets since both tasks create a lot of debris. They also finished the job earlier than the time frame they initially set making it easy for us to schedule other workers. I don't normally post reviews on Yelp but enjoyed working with Brian, Denise, and team and I felt compelled to write this and share our great experience with others. read more

Brian and his team were incredibly responsive to my "urgent" carpeting request. Being that my schedule was unpredictable and I was coming from the mainland to redo my carpeting in my townhouse on such short notice, their team carved out time to make it all happen for me! It's a privilege to write this review and express my sincere gratitude to Brian and his team. Basically we have a baby on the way in a matter of weeks and needed to change out the carpets in the bedrooms to hypoallergenic carpets. Once they understood the urgency their team was all over it and scrambled to get all of the materials I needed and coordinated the installation in the fastest manner possible. Their communication was top notch and they kept me up to date on every move they were making. They even showed up early to the ETA and finished the job within 3 hours as they predicted. We needed carpet replaced with vinyl plank flooring and called Brian. He was very responsive through the whole install. He brought us some choices from his 4,000 SF warehouse of materials. Writing this review is simple in regards to the excellent level of service I received from Brian . I had purchased some vinyl flooring from Brian and after install noticed some minimal defects in the product. Either through neglectful install or material itself. I called Brian and let him know of the situation . I am an installer and told him my customer had concerns for the finished flooring . No further questions Brian was on the job within 2 hours with Denise his installer and all new vinyl flooring. They started correcting my floor prep and by the next day he had 3 people and himself on my job installing vinyl. The new floor was completed within 24 hours/ I did not expect or ask for any of these services . Another point I need to add is Brian insisted he will complete job , materials and labor at no cost to me . I am a flooring contractor involved in this service oriented business for over 40 years and have completed over 3000 projects and never I repeat never received the level of service Brian and his crew gave on this project My customer who is now a Bauer flooring customer is very happy with the new floor in their home Thanks Brian , Denise and the rest of Bauer crew for getting this done read more

Brian and team has been nothing but awesome. He was willing and able to work with our time schedule and delivered well over our expectation. Brian understood that for every minute a business close it loses revenue so his team work during the early AM hours and got it done before the next day of business. Brian even delivered samples to us so that we did not have to drive to his warehouse! Also we were planning to remove the refrigerator out so that he could do the tiles he said don't have to because they can simply slide it over and work on the tiles and once done they can slide it back! Lastly when i needed a price quote he provided it a heartbeat and his prices are amazing reasonable. He would also give recommendations..for example "he ask is there going to be a lot of water dropping on the floor?" We responded no so he told us that the expensive tiles are not neccessary. Overall the business is honest, respectful and the quality is great. I will be going to his team again for future tile needs! read more
