    I needed to find some carpet for my clients upstairs condo. I walked into the store on a Wednesday afternoon around 3 pm, Jasha helped me. I am a person who really appreciates great service. I let Jasha know what I needed and it needed to be within my budget. He helped me find some remnants for my client project. He took the time to explain the process and explained to me that he would need to find a carpet installer. I needed the carpet to be installed by Sunday, midweek the following week at the latest. Jasha worked on finding an installer, he scheduled him to do measurements on Thursday, check back with me on the installers quote, I OK'd. On Friday, the installer removed the old carpet and prepped. On Saturday morning, the installer came out to install the new carpet. I stopped in on Saturday and saw the completed project. My client and I are so happy with the quick and speedy project. Jasha made it happen and Bougainville Flooring had what I needed. Everyone should experience this type of service, it truly is rare! To top it off, Jasha was flying out with his new bride for their honeymoon and checked in with me to see if everything was ok. I truly appreciate the excellent client experience he gave me!! I will bring more clients to you guys when I have clients who need to sell their properties. Much appreciated!!

    Sharing some perplexing chronology of events. Went to this business to browse and get educated about flooring. When you check in, you get assigned to a salesperson similar to a car lot. Was assigned to Kim Roy. After some pleasantries, he left us alone to browse because he had another customer that he said walked in that he needed to help. While waiting we witnessed another salesperson sharing about a product. We learned a lot from him. That salesperson was clear and thorough. After waiting for Kim to loop back around to us, we decided on a particular vinyl plank product. He also highly recommended an installer Mike from MK flooring. Left a deposit. Kim was adamant that he needed 50% deposit based off of the rough square footage estimates we provided. Then scheduled Mike to do an estimate to do the installation. Mike gave us a price that we thought fit into our budget, but did not know that Kim adjusted the material cost; upward of course. Now we were way over our planned budget. When asked why did the total material cost get elevated so much and why didn't he inform us about it, he said he did. We were operating on the initial quote he gave and he said he did inform us. Later he discovered and shared that he had an email, but must have forgot to send it. Oh, well. During the installation process, I got a call from Kim saying that there was an error and the "warehouse" gave MK flooring too much material and we needed to return some of it. I explained that he and MK made the arrangements for the order based off of the measurements submitted by MK and the pick up was handled by the both of them, so I had no idea what was actually ordered or received. After installation, there was a nick in one of the planks. Asked MK to assess it because it could have been caused by the installation. MK insisted it couldn't be, but said he could glue it to fix it. When I explained that the manufacturer, whom I called to ask about the standard protocol for fixing such a problem, shared it needed to be replaced. Mike immediately said he would contact Kim to put in a claim and left quickly. Shortly after I get a text from Kim asking, "How does your new floor look?" I respond in email that there was a problem. Shared the picture of it and and asked what would be done to remedy the issue. No response. Fair is fair, there were a lot of strange occurrences that happened from ordering and installation. Not blaming anyone, but all I know is that I was left with a damaged plank from a brand new installation with no assistance to remedy the issue. Paid more than what I originally thought and am not sure if I truly understand what went on?

    Amazing customer service! We worked with Carrie, who took the time before our appointment to get to know us and what type of flooring we wanted. During our appointment she was clear about the various price points and showed us multiple suggestions within our price point (as well as offering installation tips). A few of the transition pieces in our delivery were incorrect, but Carrie was quick to correct the delivery. But I was most impressed with her assistance in helping us find solutions when we encountered issues with our installation. I would highly recommend this store and their amazing staff!

    I went in to buy a carpet remnant today to use as a rug in our living room. We have a baby that will be crawling soon and felt that our hard wood floors wouldn't suffice for her baby soft knees. Once we entered the store the front desk was already calling a sales person to the showroom over a PA system to assist us. Imagine entering a car lot to purchase a car and the salesmen all jan ken po for who gets to work with you. That's pretty much the experience here. Anyways we walked to the remnants section in the back of the store through the glass doors. We briefly browsed and of course here comes a salesman Kim. I often like to browse alone first and if I have any questions then I would go to them. However he kind of just stuck around, then left, and then was right back by us again. I felt a little pushed to make a decision. I ended up finding a rug and I was glad to hear that it would hold up better to stains. When we told him what rug we wanted to purchase he immediately tried to sell us memory foam cushioning for the bottom of the rug. That was going to cost another $250. I was already paying $475 for my rug and then tack on another $250...no thanks. He literally took another 10 minutes trying to get us a quote for the memory foam and in the end I said no. My husband tried to ask if we could get the rug packed up already so we could finish faster but that never happened. We paid and had to wait another 10 minutes or more to have them wrap up the carpet for us and load it into my car. When we got home we unrolled our carpet only to find that in the inner part of the rug it has a giant black stain on it. Very disappointed that I just paid $475 on a rug that is pretty much damaged.

    Renovating your home for the first time can be intimidating. Don't get me wrong, after watching all these reno shows there's a certain excitement of picking your own color, style, etc. Of course price is another thing altogether, but that's a whole different thing and was already built into the research we did. With that said, we had already picked out and purchased flooring from a different vendor, but they were out of the "stair nose" that we needed to have. The time for it to come in was too long for us. The sales rep from that vendor referred us to this store. The ladies that greeted me were very nice, asked if I had a flooring specialist and since I said no called for someone to come out and help me. The floor specialist Kim was very helpful, and showed me a couple samples that closely matched the flooring sample I brought. He checked to see the availability and lucky for me they were both in stock. One was priced lower, but was of same quality. It took some time for me to make a decision, so Kim was very nice to give me some space until I made up my mind. Once I made my decision, he was very thorough and confirmed prices, color, and style. I couldn't pick it up that day, so he said that I could pick it up on the weekend, which is much more suitable for me. Thank you Kim for your help! Forgot to mention, they have their samples on the floor (in which they have a large floor space) and tons of samples. They made it easier to imagine what your floor would look like if you installed those types of flooring.

    Update:…read more Unfortunately I am changing my review to two stars. Our vinyl floors were complete in March 2023 and initially everything was great like I stated in my original review. We noticed in August 2025 that multiple planks were lifting up when walked on. We reached out to American Floor and Home and they swiftly sent someone to inspect. He was very thorough in his inspection and concerned at the condition of the floors/baseboards considering how recent they were installed. He put a claim in with the manufacturer Cali Bamboo. Since then, we've sent the pictures they requested, had their third party inspection complete, and still nothing has been remedied. We periodically get emails saying American Floor and Home is coordinating with the manufacturer and will receive updates as they come. It's been 8 months since this process has started and nothing has changed except the worsening condition of our floors and baseboards. Besides lifting, multiple planks now have cracks and chips in them. The baseboards continue to split between joints and now even from the wall itself. I've sent footage of the worsening damage and still nothing has been done to remedy anything. We spent a lot of money on this purchase and it's very disheartening that this is the response we are getting. Whether it's a manufacturer's issue or an installation issue, I'd expect some type of plan of action to fix this problem that is only getting worse the longer they delay it. Extremely disappointing.
