I first contacted the company for an estimate. The owner, Bryson, responded quickly and within a few days, he came in person to give a free estimate. He was thoughtful to suggest ways to keep the cost down. His experience was apparent when he detected seemingly imperceptible differences in the undertones of white paint in different rooms. When I had follow up questions or any question, he was a responsive, timely, and good communicator. I had him repaint 2 bedrooms because the walls had been heavily marked with black streaks. I also had him paint a wall behind a toilet, a strip of wall in a stairwell, and a bright blue powder room which I had him change to white. I also needed him to patch holes caused by a metal rack screwed into a bathroom wall and a chain lock screwed inside a bedroom. He did the job quickly and thoroughly. Everything Bryson painted was beautifully done and looked brand new. You would never have guessed the bright blue powder room he painted white could ever have been anything but white. I explained our situation and told him we've had issues with water leaking from outside and under the floors. When I tell you the turn around time was crazy fast, it's because it really was. I messaged Kyle on 6/6 and he came to do the estimate the same day. By 6/10, he had all the materials bought and his team went straight to work. They would've finished in 1 day but because the water damage was so bad, they had to wait a day for it to dry. They removed our old laminate and tile and replaced it with new flooring in our bedrooms and hallway. We didn't need them to do the entire house, so I knew having 2 different colored floors would probably look hideous. But Kyle was able to find flooring that was a perfect match in color and also went out to buy all the material for us. Mind you, this was all done while my husband and I were still on Kauai. But I was really drawn to Bauer because their team was noticeably thoughtful as they evaluated my existing flooring, and the strategy they discussed in how best to tackle the project. It was clear that this was a company that took pride in every project they took on, and were not in the habit of cutting corners. It was also a very competitive bid compared to other well-known flooring companies. They did not disappoint. From a duration estimate, professionalism, availability / communication, and quality standpoint, we could not be more pleased. The leveling and floor preparation process alone was something to be behold. Previous to hiring them, I had idle thoughts of taking on our flooring as a DIY. But there's no way I could have done what they did in this leveling process. We had 3 different types of floors across this space, and before they even began the installation, the preparation / leveling could have almost stood as a completed "concrete" floor. I even joked with the installer that just in removing / leveling what we had previously, they had already improved the look and continuity of our flooring. In the end, we're extremely pleased with the vinyl flooring installed as well as the baseboards and the new aesthetic it all creates for our downstairs.
