After getting several other over the top estimates to replace my carpeting with vinyl, I contacted Ceramic Stile. Their estimate was far more reasonable. They offered practical solutions that didn't break the bank. It took about three and a half days to do the work. Jim's son helped other than the first day. Both are professionals, pleasant and easy to talk to, they cleaned up after themselves, didn't block our driveway with their vehicles, kept the music and chatter down although the latter wouldn't have bothered me. They came and left when they said they would. We are very pleased with the end result. The flooring is exactly what we wanted. It's really hard to have carpeting when you have dogs. There's no way to really keep the floors clean even if you vacuum regularly and steam cleaning periodically. I would definitely hire them again for flooring work. read more

This review is long overdue. I decided to use Ceramic Stile to install tile up my front steps to the landing and continue into a large screened-in lanai. Jim showed up on time every day and was easy to communicate with. I find that to be rare in many of the service people I've hired. It was a very large area, yet he was able to finish the job in three days as promised. Jim even picked up the tile from Home Depot for us! The results were everything I had hoped for. To summarize, it is a BLESSING to have met Jim of Ceramic Stiles. There are many horror stories about property renovations and the worst thing is to have the project messed up more than it was to begin with. Ceramic Stile is not the company you'll have to worry about. Floor replacement is just about one of the biggest and most expensive project a homeowner can have for the house. There are many things to consider, material, price, pattern, usage, durability, longevity, marketability, etc. Then it's not just that. Before the actual installation, there's furniture rearrangement, existing floor removal, and if you had any other renovation projects going on you would most likely do the other things such as appliance repair/replacement, painting, etc. before installing floors. I met Jim about 3, maybe 4 months ago to inquire about the flooring project. At that time I had multiple projects going on and I wasn't ready to hire right away. Jim has been very courteous and professional that he never pushed for the sale or try to sell me something I don't need. Instead, he stayed in touch to check the status of everything else. As the direction of the renovation may have changed due to various reasons, Jim was flexible about what he can do and when he can do his part of the job. He even offers a Do-It-Yourself manual if I was opting in for building my own sweat equity. Jim also have great connections of local flooring suppliers. Their price were either similar or cheaper than bigger retailers but the durability of the planks were much greater. Over time, I've check references and saw more of the previous projects, and talked to various vendors that Jim has worked with. This guy / company truly have the integrity to offer not only their best but what's the best for their customers. So overall, I am feel very comfortable about working with this company. The project consisted of a tiled walk-in shower plus tile floors in 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Jim and his team made the whole process easy especially when it came to budget and design styles. The shower had to be replaced since aging seniors were living in the home and had been a shower/tub combo previously. The flooring was laminate which had never been changed since the house was built in the 1950s. Everything was done promptly and as quoted. I can't say enough how pleased I am to have worked with Kepa, Garrett, and Jim! This team did an amazing job changing the flooring in my home. When I was originally quoted a 12 week timeline by another company, Jim was able to work my project in within a week. I can't say enough about how satisfied we are about the work that Jim and his crew (Kepa and son Garrett) at Ceramic Stile did at our house. Normally, I have to chase down contractors who never answer their phone, but not Jim. He was always available by cell phone and called when he said he would. They installed porcelain tile in our kitchen, which required moving appliances and removal of the existing flooring. From the very beginning, I felt they were the right people for the job. They are very personable, sincere, and down to earth guys that did great work and were always checking with me to make sure they were meeting our expectations. And they sure worked fast. Ceramic Stile is the type of contractor you wish you could hire for everything. They are reliable, affordable, friendly, fair, and quick. The level of expertise shows in all the small details. The grain of the tile was placed beautifully so that it ran in a way that flowed from tile to tile. Jim knew that our specific tile had a bit of a curve to the edge because he had worked with it before, and he recommended a staggered pattern to allow for narrower grout. More construction had to happen after the tiling, and I was impressed with the careful way they papered over the tile to protect it. It wasn't just thrown over the tile, it was precisely taped to overlap so that it would prevent all the boots, dust, and potential scratches. Even in this temporary aspect, there was a level of attention to detail that is unusual. We are very happy with our floor and recommend Ceramic Stile with no hesitation or caveats! read more
