Needed to carpet one room and thought I'd give Wayne's Carpet a try after seeing so many great reviews. Worked in the showroom with Michele. She knows a lot about the business and steered me in the right direction, making me feel confident abt my purchase. The price was right and the install was set up within a week! The installers came and did a great job and everything looked perfect. One small thing I want to point out is that the carpet scraped one side of the wall when they were cutting or laying it down, and didn't mention a word about it to me. I had to get the paint out and paint the wall about 1' by 5'. I didn't like that they couldn't fess up to that. I'm sure it must happen a lot of times. I had to replace the carpet at my townhome. My old carpet was GROSS. Previous owners got cheap carpet, my kids are savages, and all the previous stains from waaay before kept coming back and well it just had to go. What made me sold me with Wayne's Flooring is they work with Costco so you get quality and good price. (Plus if you are an executive member, that is 2% back in your pocket!) I actually did shop around and they were not the cheapest options, but the quality and warranty was better compared to what I have seen. Anyhow, we met with Kelsey and he was able help us see our options and schedule a free in home estimate. After a couple weeks, we had our new carpet in. Everyone worked with my schedule. Meeting Kelsey to get the documents and payment, the installers who patiently waited a few minutes so they can give me a walkthrough, and even Tawny who helped make sure I got the paperwork straightened out and called when the installers had a concern. Everyone was awesome. Overall, I'm happy with my carpet and I'm glad I got a reasonable price. If you need flooring, I recommend checking them out. read more

I would like a shout out to Wayne's Flooring and our salesperson, Tawny Edwards from their Kaimuki store for pursuing a flooring problem over 13 months amidst supply chain problems. We had a complete installation of Shaw flooring in Nov 2015 and discovered recently some repairs needed in Oct 2021 (30 year warranty). Unfortunately, the material color was no longer in their warehouse stock and she had to pursue over many months. Finally after securing from the mainland, their installer K.C. did a superb job in the midst of holiday season work plus she was kind enough to install bathroom cove installation at no additional cost for our patience. We needed to replace our kitchen and bathroom floors and wanted something as close to the original sheet vinyl as possible. None of the big box stores were at all helpful in finding any flooring we wanted. Michele at Wayne's Flooring was patient, kind, creative, recourceful, and she located a product that was as close to the wish list as possible. Jan Bulawan at their Honolulu store is very knowledgeable on their carpet and tile flooring products and she is prompt in responding to my questions and requests. David and his installation team did a fabulous job in my condo. Pricing was very competitive and they provided me with binded floor rugs with the remnant pieces of carpet. I think I'd sum up Wayne's flooring with the word "disappointing". It isn't so much that I harbor anger towards this business...our carpets ended up looking nice and the installation was completed quickly. But their resolution to a problem we encountered has been less than stellar. After our carpet had been installed, my wife expressed concern that the padding didn't feel as soft as she expected. I didn't think much of this until my contractor mentioned the next day he didn't see the crew take out the old pads. This finally raised some concern. We brought this up with the store rep. Our rep insisted it was changed "Why wouldn't we change it?" was the response...he said the owner went to the factory to check it himself but could think of no way to show us that the pads were new. The rep appeared very honest and I have no reason yet not to doubt their intentions. But no other effort was made beyond the verbal explanation that amounted me having to go back to my wife and telling her they said "trust us, we changed it" It would seem to me that a quick easy resolution to this matter would be to take a small swatch of the new pads and show us how it matches the ones under our new carpet. A 5 min fix? We will enjoy the new carpet but for the time being, we'd have a hard time recommending Wayne's to do future flooring. UPDATE: I raised my review back 2 stars in light of the fact Wayne's flooring later resolved this issue by sending a manager over. Sure enough he identified that some closet areas did NOT have the padding replaced and said he had reprimanded the installers. The care and attention the company made in resolving this issue has been satisfactory. My recommendation to others....always be on-site to watch what your installers do no matter what company installs your flooring. Unfortunate, but recommended. read more

Compared with 2 other major carpeting companies, Wayne's was the most competitive and offered comparable and excellent choices in quality & colors. Went to Kaneohe site (note: use Aloha Gas Station entrance immediately past Burger King. Carpet store located BEHIND gas station!). Swatches even better sized than other 2 companies. Approx 3 wk shipping time for our choice of carpet-color, but fortunately we were not in any rush. Installers knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Bullnose installation for stairs also at no extra charge, unlike other company. Absolutely satisfied with the whole process! I just had two rooms and a bathroom installed with vinyl flooring to replace carpeting. First, Lou at the Kaimuki showroom was great, providing good information yet not trying to push me to spend more than I needed to. He was also flexible with changes that I made. Second, the guy the measured was courteous and quick, and he had to come twice without complaint since I decided to go from one room to two. And third, Dave and two other guys working with him were extremely professional and efficient in removing the old and installing the new. They also cooperated also with another contractor who was installing a new door between the same rooms. I could not be happier with the service and the product. I have had so many complications with services and contractors that this experience truly shines in comparison. read more

I'm just reviewing for a quote that I got from Wayne's Flooring. Just a warning: If you get a quote from this company, they will not give you a thorough breakdown on pricing. I basically got a description on what I wanted with a total. No square footage, no detail as to how they came up with their estimate. No breakdown on cost of the floor itself. All I wanted was the square footage used and they couldn't even give me that. When I asked for it, they basically told me, that information was held until you accept the estimate and become their client. I thought that was totally unfair and not professional. You should always be told what you will be paying for prior to agreeing to anything. The other people on this review page, don't seem to have an issue for whatever reason, but I'm wondering if only my estimate was like that. I understand that some other companies may do estimates this way, but to me, this is not professional and why would anyone pay anything without knowing what they are paying for. On top of that, I found the estimated cost of $10,000.00 for a small one bedroom apartment to be very high for Luxury Vinal. Sure it might be an expensive choice, but I have no information on how they derived to a bill of $10,000.00. Went through the Costco Flooring program and Wayne's Flooring is the local vendor. The salesman, Bill, was prompt and helpful. The carpet and vinyl had to be special ordered from the mainland - it took about 6 weeks to get here. The installation team - Chris, Jobi and Kawika - did and excellent job of carefully taking out the old carpet and pad and installing new padding and carpet. We also installed vinyl flooring in the bathroom and Kawika did a great job of patching and preparing the concrete floor prior to the installation. They were professional, friendly, careful and did a great job of cleaning up and hauling away the old materials. I needed Chris to come back to handle something and he did so in a timely manner! The carpet in our living room was due for replacement. We went to Wayne's Flooring America because it's close to where we live and we heard good things about them before. Lou was very knowledgeable and helpful. He let us take samples home multiple times. Derek, their installer came to our house to measure and gave us several technical suggestions as well. After we selected which laminate to install, it took about a week before he started the project. He was super knowledgeable and skilled as well. We are amazed how neat his work was.
